Amethyst battled me for hours without end, it seemed that after sleeping all that time and eating, she was full of energy, constantly attempting to escape as well, while unleashing all kinds of crazy magic spells or techniques I had never seen before.

She was honestly very strong, stronger than Surtr and Emerald when I first met them, honestly. And she probably is still as strong as them before Surtr became a Venerable and before Emerald gained all those Demonic Powers and Mastered his Celestial Winds.

She was at the peak of Rank 10 by now and probably had very few equals within the same Rank at all, with Surtr already beyond that as a Venerable, perhaps only Emerald could compare to her, and a few others... maybe Umbral, though I have not fought him nor know what Realm he is.

And even then, she wasn’t strong enough to defeat one of his creations, meaning that despite not being a Venerable, that bastard had cultivated his Demon King Heart to the point of surpassing the limits of Rank 10s... Dragons are naturally divine beings, so they can actually surpass such limits on their own, but without becoming Venerables like Surtr did.

The key difference is the Ascendancy Laws and how much power they bring, while Divine Dragons can continue growing past Rank 10 unlike mortals, they still aren’t as strong as actual Venerables with Ascendancy Laws, powers that defy reality and are part of the world’s laws themselves.

However, it’s quite clear that the bastard of Umbral is making up for lacking that by using his Demon King Heart and the powerful Sin within it, alongside the Fragment of Chaos he possesses, and who knows what else he has.

Amethyst hatred against him is what drove her to fight so relentlessly even now, the bastard had killed her mother and used her as materials for his Soul Gear, making himself immune to most Light Elemental Magic and Damage, but I believe that even then, he shouldn’t be immune.

"WHY...! WHY WON’T YOU LET ME GO?!"

She roared furiously, it has been seven hours since our battles had started, I have fought against her relentlessly and without holding back, occasionally fully healing her after beating her down a lot, just to provoke her to fight me more.

The more we fought, the more I understood how she battled, and the more I was able to learn how she acts, and also more about her personality, and how much her trauma affected her mind and her overall fighting style.

I already started this, so I wasn’t going to back down, I will help this child and guide her towards the right path.

And together we will defeat Umbral and avenge her mother.

"I know you’re furious, Amethyst, and I know you have a lot of negative emotions inside of you..." I said. "You’re free to let them all out... fight me until you feel satisfied. Cry, scream, roar, burn me, slash me! Don’t worry, I am so strong that you won’t even harm me. So come at me! I will help you finally let out all your resentment, and at the same time, I will teach you a valuable lesson about never underestimating your superiors."

"SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU’RE NOT MY SUPERIOR!!! AAAAGGGH!"

Amethyst screamed, her entire body glowing brightly, each of her scales was of a different crystal color, letting out thousands of rays and then sending them towards me.

That was a new ability, the more we fought and the more I healed her after she took a lot of damage, the more her body continued evolving and growing stronger.

This training was perfect for her; slaying monsters was never going to help her pass through the wall that is Rank 10.

At the same time, depleting her mana and divine power and then healing it back also helped her expand her divine power, and her divinity was being destroyed and recovered too, the same thing was happening.

The explosions of her beams reached me, bombarding me with countless explosions of bright light, however, as the smoke dissipated, my body emerged unscathed, as I cleaned the dust from my clothes.

She swung her claws and released an explosion of divine holy light at the same time, generating an immense shockwave that cut through anything in an X-shaped attack.

If I was near her Rank, I would have been surely shredded into bits... it was a deadly nameless technique, but not really... effective against me.

"That one was pretty strong, you didn’t use it before, when did you make it?"

"RAAAAHHHH!"

She screamed angrily after realizing I was unscathed, opening her jaws and releasing a dragon breath, while her Draconic Aura surged and also unleashed another dragon breath at me.

Both beams were strong, pushing me a few meters down due to the intensity of the divine power within them...

"Amethyst, you really have amazing potential and talent, way beyond Surtr and Emerald, if I don’t include Surtr’s Unique Skills and Emerald’s Celestial Winds!"

I swung my hand to the left, sending the dragon breaths into the skies and provoking two more explosions, as Amethyst looked at me in disbelief.
