I looked at her, the picture of my mother from this world, the mother of my version of this parallel world… she was a beautiful, tall lady, with a gentle smile, snake-like red eyes, and short, messy black and purple hair. She wore black cultist-like robes decorated with red eyes and purple butterflies, and she had that same necklace that my father gave to me.
I wonder, could she also be similar to my mother, Khaos? Perhaps a parallel version of her, a "human" version of her? It makes me wonder, but… she's gone, long ago. There's nothing I can do to bring her back either.
However, looking at this image, even though I never interacted with her… it does mysteriously fill me with a lot of nostalgia.
I even shed a small tear.
"Y-Young lady…" Acelina said. "Please don't cry… I am sure that your mother would be proud of what you've become."
"Indeed, you have her striking resemblance, and even her charm and sorcery, merged with your father's incredible primordial powers, without a doubt, you may one day surpass him," Ismena smiled. "But I know that's what would make him the happiest."
"You even inherited her wings, your mother had within her veins Blackwood Fairy blood, and was also a Dhampir," said Acelina. "It was one of the reasons she was able to live so long and remain so youthful. And that bloodline, plus being a Dhampir, was what made her charm to appealing to your father, I am sure."
"I see…" I smiled, sighing.
Despite me being a fairy and a vampire because of my evolutions back in Genesis, in here, it's for completely different reasons altogether… and honestly, I like them a lot more.
"Blackwood Fairy…" I said. "Are there more people with such bloodline out there?"
"I don't really know, but I believe your mother was the last one… well, aside from you of course, you may be the last one now," Ismena said.
"It's truly a pity… people with Fae Bloodlines are very rare in this age," Acelina explained.
"I see…" I nodded. "And who turned mother into a Dhampir? Do you know?"
"I believe she wasn't turned, she was born like that, her parents… well, we have no idea who could they have been either, she had mysterious origins, and perhaps only talked about her past with your father," Ismena said.
"But from little we knew about her, she was a wonderful person… Although, back then, when she was alive, we were still very young, and still in training," Acelina said.
"So that's how it is…" I looked at both of them, caressing their hands. "Thanks for telling me more about my mother, it does makes me happier and prouder of being her daughter. I love you two dearly, my girls."
"Ah, young lady…" Ismena was caught off-guard.
"Heheh, I love you as well, young lady!" Acelina smiled cutely.
"Alright, could you help me get dressed up? I want to wear my most extravagant, colorful dress we got," I said. "Wait! Is there a dress mother left for me?"
"A-Ah, there's a few… but why the decision?" Ismena asked, confused.
"I want to show off, of course! I must make both my mother and my father proud of the daughter they had! Those hypocrites that believe they're better than me, that believe they can order me around… in the name of my beloved parents, I shall make them see the truth of their foolishness," I smiled proudly, filled with resolve.
Their eyes widened, shocked by my newfound resolve and energy, they nodded, quickly bringing me a few dresses. I spent a good hour deciding what to choose and trying between various ones. I had breakfast and then, once the time for the duels were coming, I walked out of my room and moved to the designated arena.
To get there, I had to walk through a special Dimensional Gate that my father opened for me, the Arena was located inside a special Domain, one of the many under our control that were annexed into our territory.
In this world we call Domains special, separated spaces from the Real World, which are born when an area is corrupted with Mana and other Energies, Domains can take into myriads of forms, and ultimately, if big enough, they can evolve into separate Realms.
Where the Kami of Japan live could be said to be a giant fusion of many of these Realms, Divine Realms born from the evolution and fusion of countless Domains. It's almost like a separate dimension entirely, and also the reason why it's quite hard to even invade them, it's a much larger and more difficult thing than even the Divine Realms that Gods can develop in Genesis, for example.
"So you're here, Kireina! Good to see that you didn't run away or something, you're facing the challenge head-on, I see!" My father greeted me, as I walked through the door, appearing outside of the Arena, which resembled an old Roman Arena, quite literally.
The outside area was a large city, which was being occupied by what seemed to be a varied assortment of Yokai that worked under my father's control, there was also forests, and mountains in the distance, the sky was blue, and the sun was shining brightly above.
"Yes father, I am prepared for this challenge," I nodded. "Haven't you noticed? This dress?"
It was a red and purple colored dress, which was immense, showing my exposed back and that barely covered my breasts, showing a lot of skin, the dress also had several rose-shaped openings through it, showing my legs and so on. It was indeed a bit too sexy, but it contained a lot of Mana within it, mother's leftover Mana.
"I see you look gorgeous in it, my dear," he nodded. "That is the dress that once belonged to your mother… seeing you makes me remember her quite a lot, you're truly the living image of her sometimes! Hahah…"
