Chapter 141: Urges

Leander sighed. He could see from earlier at the restaurant that she was not in a good mood. He thought that the meeting with Tabitha would have affected her mood.

So, he brought her here. He was told that women liked to shop. But it seems like she doesn’t like the clothes here. She could have been open about it but...

He sighed. How long will she stare at that belt?

"I..." Viviana placed the belt back and wetted her lips.

Leander waited for her to come up with a lie. It’s annoying how much he’s used to accept her lies.

Viviana’s clear eyes looked at him and he pressed his lips. He had a feeling that he is not going to hear her lies this time.

"I was wondering why they brand their brand name everywhere... It’s like..." Viviana rubbed her hands together. Leander looked at her with his hands inside his trouser pockets.

"I don’t know why they are this overpriced with their gaudy brand logos... I hear most of these brands use sweatshop labor..." Viviana whispered. Only when she saw his indifferent face did she realize that Leander won’t care about ethical issues like sweatshops.

"Why should I pay to be the brand’s free advertisement or something...?" Viviana shrugged.

The salesgirl blinked wondering if the woman in front of her is stupid or pretending. The whole point of the "brands" is to show everyone that you are rich enough to afford those brands. That was the foundation these brands are built on. That’s why they brand their products. They are not seeking for advertisement. It’s the other way around.

Leander laughed. It was not just a chuckle but a full-blown chortle that arose from his gut. He expected a lie from her and he was surprised with her true thoughts.

How amusing is she!

"I just asked..." Viviana mumbled burying her chin to her chest. She has never heard Leander laugh this loudly before. And now the entire store is looking at her.

But she couldn’t keep her eyes off him and she looked at him. He looked angelic with that hearty laugh ruling his face.

Leander would have laughed for longer if not he noticed the salesgirl who was staring at his wife as if she was looking at a fool. Now, how can he allow that?

"Did you hear?" he scoffed. "My wife says your brand is beneath her!" Leander smirked.

Viviana blinked. That’s not what she meant. She didn’t mean to hurt anyone. "I didn’t~"

"You can’t pay my wife to wear your brand!" Leander said and still laughing, he walked out of the store holding her hand. He truly couldn’t believe that his wife is someone who doesn’t care about affording the "brands" like most women he knew.

Viviana followed him like a good little girl. As long as he doesn’t spend money on her, it was fine with her.

But he was not going downstairs. He brought her to the fourth floor. Viviana didn’t know what he was thinking. The entire floor was silent and there were not much people around but she could sense that this place is not as simple as it seems.

Leander brought her to a store and he was given the welcome of a king. "Is the tailor here?" he asked.

This guy wearing a perfect suit brought him inside this room. Sipping the champagne, they offered her Viviana walked with him. She thought that the fourth floor belonged to independent designers and that’s why this is quiet.

She knew of seamstresses and tailors. But they won’t afford to pay the rent for the shops in this mall. She knew the "tailor" Leander mentions must be expensive. But in her naivety, she assumed that they won’t be as expensive as those brands.

But he should dress the part of a wealthy man. He can afford this tailor.

She expected a man, but out came a voluptuous woman with the scent of nicotine she sorely missed.

"I’m not a tailor. I’m a seamstress for goodness’ sake!" she grumbled. "Another suit?" she asked and her eyes ended up on his crotch. The woman walked to him and placed his hand on his chest. "Looks like we need to take measurements again..." Her crimson painted lips curled to a smirk and her hand slowly inched south.

Her cat eyes that were lined perfectly with dark eyeliner accentuated her blue irises. A cigarette was burning between her fingers.

Viviana was astonished by how sensual that woman looked. She was wearing a simple dress, but it was sticked to perfection that accentuated her curves and her best features. And this was the first time she is meeting someone who is an actual redhead.

But more than anything, she was more drawn to the cigarette in her hand. She had been craving for a cigarette for weeks without even a patch. And now she had a deep urge to grab the cigarette.

But she can’t do that, and she took in a deep breath of the smoke.

Ah... wonderful... A bit more...

She took another deep breath.

*Pop*

Her sniffing was interrupted by the popping sound. She turned to her side to see Leander’s hand over the seamstress’ hand that was awfully close to his... *ehem* crotch!

Oh, wow!

Viviana gulped. It looked like there was something going on between these two. What should she do? Should she give them their privacy?

She almost turned to leave when she noticed Leander glaring at her. Only then she remembered that she is the wife here. She should not be the one leaving.

Leander looked at her and sighed. It was a sigh of disappointment.

"Hello, I am Minerva Kastello," she held out her hand with an awkward smile.

"Oh, the wife! So, what I heard is true?" the seamstress looked at Leander.

Leander cleared his throat and glared back at her. He did not like that the seamstress is ignoring his wife. How long is she going to hold out her hand for a shake?

"Goodness gracious!" The seamstress turned at Viviana understanding the meaning behind Leander’s glare.

"I’m Danielle Allard. Nice to meet you, Mrs. Kastello," she smiled.

Leander waved annoyingly at the smoke rising to his nose and Danielle stubbed the cigarette.

"What a volatile temper..." she murmured.

Viviana snorted trying to hold back her laughter.

He truly is volatile.
