Chapter 353: Radiant Light

Chapter 353: Radiant Light

The explosion erupted instantly, sending a heatwave in all directions. Several floating landmasses were forcefully pushed away by the sheer impact.

Asmodeus’ grin widened, growing wilder—like a mad beast that had just seen its prey bleeding. And he wanted more.

The soldiers guarding the mansion stared upward, their expressions filled with awe and fear. Some had their eyes and mouths wide open in shock. Had Clyde been defeated?

That attack was incredibly powerful. If they had been hit by it, they would have been evaporated into ash—or worse, completely burned into nothingness.

But Clyde was different. If it was him, they weren’t sure what the outcome would be.

"You think he’s still alive?" one of the soldiers asked.

"I don’t know," the soldier beside him replied, his voice uncertain.

"We’ll find out soon enough," the veteran soldier said calmly.

And his words proved true. The massive flames began to fade, the heatwave slowly dissipating. And at the center of the dying fire, something shone brightly...

"Is that an Angel’s aura?" one of the soldiers gasped in shock.

None of the other Demon soldiers responded. They were too stunned to say anything. They simply stared in disbelief at the radiant aura surrounding Clyde’s body.

---

Even Asmodeus, who was standing directly in front of Clyde, looked shocked. His wild grin vanished, replaced by an expression of disbelief—then anger.

"An Angel?!" Asmodeus roared, his voice a furious growl. "You’re using an Angel’s power?!"

Clyde remained in place, his expression calm and unreadable, though deep inside, he wanted to laugh at Asmodeus’ reaction. The Demon King was truly surprised to see him suddenly unleashing Angelic power.

"Yeah. You like it?" Clyde asked with a smirk.

Asmodeus clenched his teeth, his clawed fists tightening at his sides. There was no mistaking the hatred burning in his eyes.

"You dare use that damned creature’s power in front of me?!" he snarled.

"This was the only thing strong enough to counter your fire attack," Clyde replied. "Now, are you ready for the next round?"

Clyde shifted into his battle stance, the Angelic aura around him flaring even brighter—only fueling Asmodeus’ rage.

Asmodeus, his own fire aura surging stronger, did not hesitate. He rushed toward Clyde with blinding speed.

KA-BOOM!

The clash erupted once more, spreading destruction at an alarming rate.

With a swift swing of Elderglass, now enveloped in Angelic power, Clyde struck first. The force behind his attack was even greater than before, catching Asmodeus off guard and pushing him back several meters.

But Asmodeus didn’t waste any time. He immediately regained his footing and launched a powerful counterattack.

Clyde barely had time to recover after his first strike before Asmodeus lunged forward again, his fire aura burning even hotter.

The Demon King’s claws slashed, igniting the space between them with searing flames.

Clyde parried with his Elderglass sword, Angelic energy surging as it clashed against the hellfire.

The collision sent shockwaves rippling everywhere, cracking the floating ground beneath them.

Asmodeus roared, driving his other claw toward Clyde’s chest. Clyde twisted his body at the last second, dodging by a hair’s breadth.

But the sheer heat singed his side, leaving a blackened scorch mark on his armor black shirt. Its actually managed to breach his Angelic aura.

Taking advantage of the opening, Clyde pivoted and swung Elderglass upward. The blade that was now glowing with divine radiance carved through the air and slashed against Asmodeus’ shoulder.

The Demon King howled as golden energy seared into his flesh, steam rising from the wound.

But instead of retreating, Asmodeus only grinned wider — his sharp teeth bared in a crazed, furious snarl. "You think that pathetic holy light can harm me?!"

With an explosive burst of power, he flared his Hellfire aura, forcing Clyde back. The heat around him intensified, warping the air itself.

Then Asmodeus disappeared.

No, not exactly disappeared.

Clyde barely had time to react before the Demon King reappeared above him in the blink of an eye, his fist wreathed in dark red fire now. He punched it downward.

The punch coming down like a meteor, slamming Clyde into the ground below. The floating landmass shattered on impact, chunks of molten rock scattering in every direction.

The force of the blow was enough to leave a crater. Smoke and dust billowed into the air, obscuring Clyde’s body from sight.

The watching Demon soldiers held their breath. Had Asmodues crushed him now?

But before they could forming a word another thing happened.

FWOOOOSH!

A column of golden light erupted from the crater, slicing through the dust.

Clyde shot out of the destruction, his body filled with a streak of radiant energy as he propelled himself straight at Asmodeus.

His speed was even faster than before, his Angelic aura burning brighter as well.

Asmodeus don’t have time to react before Clyde was already in front of him.

The Elderglass blade struck across Asmodeus’ chest, carving a deep wound lined with divine light in his armor chest.

The Demon King finally snarled in pain as the holy energy burned into his armor, refusing to be extinguished.

Clyde didn’t stop there. He twisted midair, bringing the sword down in a second strike that was even faster than before.

"GRAAAAAHHH!!!"

Asmodeus roared, raising his arm just in time to block, but the sheer force sent him hurtling backward, crashing through a series of floating rock formations.

For the first time in the battle Asmodeus had been sent flying.

The watching Demons gasped, they already forgot about they task on protecting the mansion. The Demon King — the embodiment of destruction — had been overpowered.

Clyde exhaled a long breath while gripping Elderglass tightly as his Angelic aura continued to shine.

He fixed his eyes on Asmodeus, who slowly climbed out of the rubble, his breathing heavy, his wounds still smoldering with divine fire.

A tense silence hung between them.

Then Clyde smirked. "You ready for round three?"

Asmodeus, who had been burning with rage just moments ago, suddenly appeared calmer. His wide grin still split his demonic face, but now, his fiery eyes held a more composed intensity.

"Oh? So you’ve got an Angel’s help, huh? Interesting," Asmodeus said, rolling his shoulders. He flexed his arms, his aura still smoldering.

"I’m ready for round three, human."
