Chapter 88: Chapter 88: Delivering Oneself into the Wolf’s Den
Chi Yue paused, and without thinking said, "Why don’t you ask Mr. Fu to come pick you up?"
"I don’t dare," Fu Hanyan replied. "And even if I did call him, he might not come."
"Would he let you enter the house then?"
"He might not. If he doesn’t let me in, I’ll just lie down at the doorway." She paused, then added, "You’ll accompany me."
Chi Yue suddenly felt like she had boarded a thief’s ship.
She felt that Fu Hanyan just wanted to find someone who wasn’t too familiar with Fu Rongyin, so that Fu Rongyin wouldn’t do anything too outrageous.
Chi Yue had no choice but to steel herself and take Fu Hanyan to No.1 Bay.
After parking the car in the garage of No.1 Bay, Chi Yue was ready to leave.
Seeing Fu Hanyan staggering, she ultimately softened and decided to take Fu Hanyan upstairs.
In front of Fu Rongyin’s door, Fu Hanyan pressed the doorbell and told Chi Yue, "You can’t leave. You have to stay with me tonight. Otherwise, if you leave, my brother will find someone to send me back."
Chi Yue couldn’t help but laugh and cry, "As a stranger, he won’t let me stay."
"He will. As long as we refuse to leave, he can’t do anything about it."
No sooner had she finished speaking than the door opened.
Fu Rongyin stood expressionless behind the door, "Drunk and trying to crash here?"
Fu Hanyan smiled and walked towards him, "Brother, don’t say that, okay? We are after all..."
Thud~
Fu Hanyan tripped over her own feet, lunging straight for Fu Rongyin, who unnoticeably stepped to the side, resulting in Fu Hanyan having an intimate encounter with the floor.
Chi Yue’s eyelid twitched, and she went forward to help her up.
Fu Hanyan’s eyes were tightly closed, motionless.
Chi Yue was stunned, looking towards Fu Rongyin.
He said, "Throw her at the doorway, and she’ll wake up."
Fu Hanyan suddenly opened her eyes wide, glaring at Fu Rongyin, "I am your dearest twin sister, how can you treat me like this?"
Fu Rongyin gave her a glance, striding toward his room.
That probably meant he didn’t want to bother with her anymore.
Fu Hanyan felt triumphant.
She pulled Chi Yue into the guest room, repeatedly admonishing her not to leave, but Chi Yue did not agree.
Maybe she was too tired, but Fu Hanyan fell asleep before she could get an answer from Chi Yue.
Chi Yue, after covering her with the blanket, left.
When she reached the living room, she suddenly paused; Fu Rongyin had somehow seated himself on the sofa.
He was dressed in light-colored loungewear, tempering his usual sharpness, and he seemed quite approachable.
He half-opened his eyes, "Asleep?"
"Yeah, asleep."
"She called you over, and you came?"
Chi Yue, "... I was worried about her having an accident. After all, she had called me, and I would feel guilty if something really happened."
Fu Rongyin looked at her, "She didn’t tell you that she brings bodyguards to work?"
Chi Yue, "..."
No, she really hadn’t.
For a moment, neither of them said anything.
Chi Yue couldn’t stay any longer and moved toward the vestibule, "It’s getting late, I should head back."
The moment her hand touched the doorknob, Chi Yue heard a voice from behind, "If she throws up tonight, I will throw her out."
Chi Yue did not respond.
Fu Rongyin’s voice continued, "She blacks out when she drinks. When the time comes, I will tell her that she left you at the door and ran off."
Chi Yue turned back, frowning, "Mr. Fu, you know very well that’s not what happened."
"If you leave, then that’s the reality," he responded.
Where was there any doubt left for Chi Yue?
He simply wanted her to stay.
She stood in the vestibule, watching as Fu Rongyin drew near, then pressed her against the door to kiss her.
In her daze, she thought, wasn’t it just a matter of bringing Fu Hanyan back to her home? How did she end up delivering herself into the wolf’s den?
