Entangled with My Ex's Uncle -
Chapter 395: Who Instructed?
Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Who Instructed?
"As long as you name the person who instructed you, you can leave right now," Fu Rongyin said nonchalantly, sitting beside Chi Yue.
The man in black immediately began to beg for mercy, "I really don’t know who it was; we all take orders online nowadays. Who meets in person to place orders anymore? Mr. Fu, Master, I really realize my mistake. Considering I haven’t actually done anything, please have mercy and let me go."
Fu Rongyin furrowed his brows, his emotions unreadable, "Attempted and interrupted are two completely different things. Had I not showed up, do you think you would still be sitting here talking to me?"
The heart of the man in black sank. He was not unfamiliar with Fu Rongyin’s reputation. Knowing it, he understood that Fu Rongyin’s methods were far less gentle than they appeared, and he was very clear about what he was about to face.
Suddenly, a spark of inspiration struck him, "I can give you the login details for the website. It has my contact with that person. You can check anything you want."
Fu Rongyin said nothing, glanced at the paper and pen on the table, and the man in black immediately got the hint and wrote down the account information.
Fu Rongyin glanced at it, tore the paper off, and left with Chi Yue.
Chi Yue had not spoken a single word from the beginning to the end. Now, walking out of the police station, she stopped.
"Thank you for tonight. I will not trouble you further, I can investigate this on my own."
She extended her hand, implying that he should give her the information.
Fu Rongyin remained unmoved, "You probably shouldn’t stay at home tonight. I’ll take you to the Bai Family."
Chi Yue did not move, her hand still extended.
Fu Rongyin, ignoring her gesture, opened the passenger door and looked at her.
Just as the two were at a standoff, Gu Qingyu rushed over.
"Ah Yin, are you alright?"
Her eyes full of concern, she looked relieved to see that Fu Rongyin was unharmed.
Fu Rongyin frowned, "Where’s Mianmian?"
Gu Qingyu responded, "I received a message that you had gone to the police station, so I sent Mianmian to Chu Shuo’s place. Are you done now?"
"Yes."
"Then, let’s go home," Gu Qingyu said, readying to get into her car, but Fu Rongyin held the car door, showing no intention of letting her in.
Gu Qingyu followed his gaze and saw Chi Yue standing beside them, her hand now drawn back.
"Chi Yue?" She looked at Fu Rongyin, then at Chi Yue. She suddenly recalled the security mentioning something had happened at Mr. Fu’s residence.
And the place where Chi Yue was staying had once been Fu Rongyin’s home.
After a moment of thought, Gu Qingyu approached Chi Yue, "If your business is settled, why not join us on the way back? It’s on the way, after all."
Chi Yue, thinking of the thing in Fu Rongyin’s hand, stood for a moment, then walked over.
But she did not get into the passenger seat; she went to the back instead.
Gu Qingyu glanced at Fu Rongyin impulsively, noticing his impassive face.
Thinking it over, she said, "I almost forgot, I drove here, so I won’t be going back with you."
With that, she closed her car door and quickly disappeared from the front of the police station.
Since Chi Yue had already gotten into the car, there was no reason for her to get out now, lest it seem overly deliberate.
Fortunately, Fu Rongyin did not continue the standoff and drove off.
After driving a long distance, Chi Yue realized they were not on the way to the Bai Family’s home, nor were they heading to her place. She defensively asked, "Where are you taking me?"
Fu Rongyin ignored her, and after driving a while longer, the car finally stopped in front of a house.
Fu Rongyin got out of the car and pulled her out.
