"What... What?" Mrs. Bai Senior was so shocked she was speechless, "Did you just say that you and Nan Yuan are already married? When did this happen?"

"Three years ago, abroad."

After the shock, Mrs. Bai Senior was extremely relieved.

"Good child, I always knew Nan Yuan was the best match for you. That’s good, that’s good, as long as you two are happy."

Nan Yuan came in, carrying loads of bags, "Grandma, I got held up with something yesterday and couldn’t make it for your birthday. These are the gifts Yueyue and I picked out for you."

When Mrs. Bai Senior saw the visitor was actually Nan Yuan, she couldn’t stop smiling, "Good, good, everything is fine; it doesn’t matter which day you come."

Nan Yuan sat down beside Chi Yue, answering the old lady’s questions one by one, deepening the wrinkles on her smiling face.

After lunch, Nan Yuan said he had to leave with Chi Yue due to some matters, but the old lady refused to let them go.

"What if you two disappear again without a word?"

"We won’t. We’re planning to buy a house nearby and settle down here."

The old lady still didn’t believe it, "Really?"

"Grandma, you have to believe me. We agreed to go house hunting today and will move as soon as possible. If you want, you can come to live with us."

Mrs. Bai Senior finally relaxed, "Call me once you’re done."

Chi Yue grinned, "Okay."

Leaving the Bai Family, Chi Yue’s smile faded.

"Nan Yuan, are you really going to move in with me?"

Nan Yuan: "We are now husband and wife. Before we came back, we had agreed to live together as a family."

Chi Yue fell silent, "Thank you."

Nan Yuan glanced at the time, "I have an appointment with a client to discuss business, so I’m afraid I can’t accompany you to see the house. Will you be alright on your own?"

"Don’t I have a bodyguard?"

Nan Yuan nodded, "You don’t need my opinion; as long as you like the house, I’m fine with it."

Chi Yue chuckled, "Then I’ll leave a room for you to decorate to your taste."

Nan Yuan dropped Chi Yue at her destination and left.

Chi Yue contacted the agent, who said something had come up and couldn’t make it but had arranged for the client to come and talk with her.

Chi Yue didn’t think much of it and stood at the door waiting for the landlord.

After a while, she felt someone tugging at her clothes.

Chi Yue looked down to see a chubby little hand and, following the hand, saw a roly-poly little girl carved from pink jade.

"Pretty sister, are you here to see the house?" she asked.

Chi Yue raised an eyebrow, "How did you know?"

She looked around and saw a black business car parked at the side of the road opposite her.

Next to the car stood two bodyguards.

"Because my daddy told me someone was going to buy my house today and asked me to check it out."

Chi Yue pointed to the house behind her, "This house is yours?"

"Yes, sister. Do you want to come in and take a look?"

"Of course."

The little chub took a bunch of keys out of her small bag to unlock the door, but no matter how many times she tip-toed, she couldn’t reach the lock.

She looked downcast, "I wish I had asked my daddy to record my fingerprint."

Chi Yue found it amusing and asked, "Do you need some help?"

The little chub looked up at her, "Can you help me? Just lift me up."

The next second, Chi Yue crouched in front of her and lifted her up.

The little girl instinctively wrapped her arms around Chi Yue’s neck, "Sister, I’m a bit heavy, please hold on tight."

Chi Yue couldn’t help but let out a light laugh, "Alright."

Compared to the one at home, her weight was about the same, not difficult for Chi Yue to carry at all.

Finally, the door was opened, and the little chub quickly got down from Chi Yue and led her inside.

Once inside, Chi Yue discovered that the interior was even more beautiful than the outside, looking as if it had just been renovated.

She asked curiously, "Little one, why do you want to sell the house?"

The little chub said sadly, "My daddy was going to give this house to my mommy, but my mommy hasn’t come back yet. I need money, so my daddy agreed to sell the house."
