The next second, the doorbell rang again.

Chi Yue went to open the door, finally receiving her food delivery. She took the delivery intending to close the door, but a hand stopped it.

While she was still stunned, she was pushed inside, walking towards the dining table with a bag.

Seeing her still standing there, the man frowned, "What are you standing there for?"

Chi Yue slowly moved over and watched him open the food box, suddenly finding the takeout in her hands less appealing.

After a brief struggle, Chi Yue set the takeout aside and sat down at the dining table.

Fu Rongyin placed the items in front of her, "I was held up."

Chi Yue: "Are you explaining to me why you didn’t come over?"

"You could say that."

Seeing that he had brought many of her favorites, Chi Yue decided not to hold it against him and began eating.

Fu Rongyin, seeing this, took the rest to the fridge to freeze.

Upon opening the fridge and seeing the crammed storage compartments, Fu Rongyin’s expression darkened.

"I didn’t know you went out," he said.

Without turning her head, Chi Yue answered, "I just got up not long ago and haven’t left the house."

Suddenly thinking of something, she turned around, meeting Fu Rongyin’s sinister eyes, and quickly said, "Let me explain..."
