"Ha, why don’t you just admit you made a mistake? Chi Yue, if I publicize this report, will it affect you or the Fu Family? Either way, you can’t escape involvement, can you?"

Chi Yue remained eerily calm, "If you make a big deal out of this, all I can do is keep running tests to prove it. And you, how can you be sure the hair you provided is definitely from Fu Rongyin and Fu Hanyan?"

Ling Jiayu put away the test results, "Then let’s wait and see who ends up the winner in the end."

After Ling Jiayu left, Chi Yue didn’t rush to pack up and leave.

She opened her phone, which had messages from Fu Rongyin, the most recent one sent an hour ago.

She didn’t reply to him, instead methodically packing her things and ensuring all the equipment was fine before leaving.

Downstairs, she saw Ling Jiayu standing by the roadside, and next to her, was Fu Rongyin’s car.

Chi Yue’s steps faltered, Fu Rongyin hadn’t left yet.

Ling Jiayu turned abruptly, as if having eyes on the back of her head, and looked towards Chi Yue.

Chi Yue just stood at the door, openly gazing back at her.

Ling Jiayu waved, "Miss Chi, it’s quite late now; do you need a ride?"

Chi Yue pondered for a moment, then walked over, "I’ll trouble you then."

Ling Jiayu moved to open the passenger door when Fu Rongyin suddenly spoke, "You sit in the back."

Ling Jiayu blinked, "Ah Yin?"

Fu Rongyin’s brows were knitted together, showing some displeasure.

Ling Jiayu smiled, "Fine, then I’ll join Miss Chi in the back."
