On closer inspection, she noticed a faint dark circle under his eyes.

"Have you looked enough?" the man suddenly spoke.

Chi Yue withdrew her gaze, "How do you know I was looking at you if you didn’t open your eyes?"

The man opened his eyes, his gaze like a wolf ready to pounce, "Chi Yue, don’t provoke me."

Chi Yue was so angry she wanted to laugh, "Who is provoking whom? Wasn’t it you who showed up at my doorstep first? You’re playing the blame game here!"

He became interested, "What do you mean by playing the blame game? Are you disappointed because I am not Nan Yuan?"

Chi Yue shivered, "Why do you bring up Nan Yuan?"

"Everyone in Nancheng knows you want to marry Nan Yuan, so why shouldn’t I bring him up?"

Finally, Fu Rongyin let go of her, still encircling her with his arms, and she ended up sitting in his lap as he lifted her up.
