Chapter 232: Chapter 232: Photos of Chi Yue from High School
Chi Yue saw that there were words on the back of the photo.
Upon closer inspection, she froze.
It was Fu Rao’s handwriting.
This photo belonged to Fu Rao.
But she did not know Fu Rao when she was in high school, so how could Fu Rao have her photo?
Realizing this issue, Chi Yue quickly called the courier company, went through a round of checks, but still couldn’t find the sender.
Fu Rao was still at the police station, so it was impossible for Fu Rao to have sent her the photo.
While she was thinking, Chi Yue’s phone rang.
She glanced at it, it was an unfamiliar number.
Chi Yue hesitated for a moment and then answered; it was Qin Anlu’s voice.
"Miss Chi, you’ve received everything, right?"
Chi Yue knitted her brows, "Did you send the photo?"
Qin Anlu spoke calmly, "The photo was always carried by Fu Rao. He left in such a hurry that day, he left this photo behind."
"What do you mean by sending it to me?"
"Fu Rao is locked up now, isn’t he? I can’t conveniently see him at the moment, so I’m asking you to deliver the photo to him. If he doesn’t have this photo, he definitely won’t be able to hold on. Please do this for me."
"Miss Qin, what do you mean by this?"
Qin Anlu chuckled lightly, "Are you afraid I’m setting a trap for you? I might have in the past, but not anymore. For the sake of my child that is about to be born, I need to accumulate more good deeds. Go ahead, if there’s something you want to know, threaten him with this photo. He will surely tell you."
"Why would you help me?"
"Just think of it as me helping you."
Qin Anlu hung up the phone.
Chi Yue looked over the photo carefully again, confirming the handwriting was Fu Rao’s, then she gathered her things and left.
At the police station, Chi Yue saw Fu Rao once more.
Fu Rao hadn’t expected it to be her either.
After a brief moment of surprise, he chuckled, "Admit it, you still have feelings for me."
Chi Yue took out the photo, "How do you have my photo?"
As soon as Fu Rao saw the person in the photo, his expression abruptly changed, "How did this photo end up with you?"
"Never mind why it’s with me, just tell me how you got this photo?"
Seeing her reaction, Fu Rao said carelessly, "Isn’t it simple? It was when I was with you."
Chi Yue looked at him.
Fu Rao raised an eyebrow, "Don’t remember?"
Chi Yue said, "My family, even I myself, no longer have anything related to my high school years, including photos. How then could you have taken this photo from me?"
Fu Rao countered, "That’s something you should explain, as it indeed was given to me by you. If you don’t want it, give it back to me."
Chi Yue looked at him for a while, suddenly pinching the photo with both hands, "Since it was given to you by me, I also have the right to take it back, and even to dispose of it."
After speaking, she exerted a little force, and a small tear appeared in the photo.
Fu Rao panicked and tried to stop her, "You can’t! You can’t tear it up!"
Chi Yue stopped, "Are you willing to tell me now where it came from?"
Fu Rao was still shaken, but he said, "This photo was taken from my Fifth Uncle’s room; it’s been many years ago, what does it matter if it comes out now?"
Chi Yue startled, "What did you just say?"
"The photo was taken from my Fifth Uncle’s room. If you want to know more, go ask him. I don’t know anything else." Fu Rao reached out, "Give me back the photo."
Chi Yue got up and left quickly.
Fu Rao was saying something behind her, but she didn’t hear it clearly. Once outside the police station, she hailed a taxi and gave the address for No.1 Bay.
