Chapter 67: Chapter 67 Of Course, It’s the Affairs in Bed

"Someone’s picking up the tab anyway."

Christopher Coldson casually picked up a white dress and held it up in front of Lola Gold.

"Miss Lola, you might want to try this one on, I think it suits you very well."

"No need, I don’t like white."

Lola shifted her position, standing behind Yolanda Greenwood, with an air of ’do not approach’.

Yolanda knew that it wasn’t that Lola disliked the color white, but rather she disliked Christopher Coldson himself.

However, she had to admire Christopher’s eye; it was impressive how he could pick out such a suitable dress for Lola the first time he saw her.

She took the initiative to ask Christopher, "Uncle Chris, where did Miss Carter go just now?"

"That spineless critter, she trotted off after being thrown a few bones."

The way Christopher spoke seemed like he was trying to curry favor with Lola.

Yolanda glanced at Lola; Lola showed no expression, still appearing aloof.

Yolanda bought both dresses and wanted to pick some for Lola, but no matter what, Lola wouldn’t accept.

Christopher lingered and wouldn’t leave, "Let it go, it seems like Miss Lola already has someone to buy for her."

Lola gave Christopher Coldson a cold look.

Yolanda didn’t insist further, thinking that Lola was embarrassed because Christopher was there.

She thought she’d wait for Christopher to leave before helping her pick a few dresses.

Unexpectedly, Christopher stayed with them until they had finished their shopping and even treated them to a Western meal at noon.

When parting ways, Yolanda couldn’t help but gossip with Lola, "You know, Uncle Chris really does have the makings of a playboy."

Wealthy and handsome, generous, a golden bachelor, and knows how to make a girl happy.

Such a man could reel in anyone, and few women would be able to escape.

Lola hung her head with a bitter smile, looking a bit weary.

"Let’s go back, Lola, you look tired."

"Okay." Lola hugged Yolanda spontaneously, "I’ll be off then. Do your best tonight and take your mother-in-law by surprise."

"I’ll try." Yolanda watched Lola walk away, then shouted after her retreating figure, "Lola, if you need anything, remember to call on me. Good luck!"

Lola nodded and got into a taxi.

As soon as the car door closed, she received a message.

"Come to Grandeur Views."

"Where to, miss?" the driver asked as he started the car.

Lola turned off her phone and put it in her bag, "To Beloved Home."

It was the name of the residential community where she lived.

Yolanda always felt that Lola seemed to have something on her mind, but since she was unwilling to talk about it, it wasn’t Yolanda’s place to pry.

Planning to catch a cab home, Yolanda saw Isabella Ross and Melissa Greenwood approaching with smiles and laughter, appearing very close as if they hadn’t noticed Yolanda.

Yolanda decided not to approach and draw disdain but turned to avoid the two.

"Yolanda!" To her surprise, Melissa called out to her.

"Mom!" Yolanda turned around helplessly, "Cousin, what brings you here?"

Isabella Ross glanced at the shopping bag in Yolanda’s hand, "I was planning to pick a few dresses and thought Melissa has a good eye, so I asked for her help."

"Indeed, cousin always had a good eye." Yolanda’s gaze at Melissa Greenwood was laden with meaning.

Melissa’s pretty face turned red instantly; she knew Yolanda was hinting at the stolen painting incident.

"I’ve finished shopping, so I’ll head back now." Wanting to avoid further entanglement with the two, Yolanda quickly made her exit.

Isabella Ross watched her departing figure and snorted, "I didn’t expect her to actually pick some decent brands."

"It’s just a fluke." Melissa Greenwood curled her lips in disdain, "This is probably her first time here in her whole life."

After Yolanda Greenwood had returned home, she first showed the items to Old Master Coldson and made a point to say that they were picked out with the help of Christopher Coldson.

Old Master Coldson nodded repeatedly, "That kid might not be good at anything else, but definitely has a knack for picking these things. If he chose them, you can wear them with confidence."

Yolanda Greenwood went back to her room, put her things away, and then sent a WeChat message to Lola Gold.

"Lola, thank you for being with me today. When I get the chance, I’ll treat you to a big meal."

However, after she had finished showering and come out, there was no reply from Lola Gold.

Yolanda Greenwood thought for a moment and decided to give her a call.

At that very moment, in Lola Gold’s rented apartment, she was being furiously claimed by Christopher Coldson beneath him.

The man thrust with vengeful force time after time, giving her no chance to catch her breath.

Hearing the phone ringing, Lola Gold’s rationality regained a bit of ground. Her voice hoarse, she said, "There’s a call."

"You can still answer the phone in your current state?"

Christopher Coldson was clearly dissatisfied and thrust into her again.

"Uh-huh..." Lola Gold bit her lip hard, not wanting to let out a sound that would embarrass herself.

Christopher Coldson glanced at the phone screen, noticing that the call was from Yolanda.

He deliberately pressed his body down, clinging tightly to Lola Gold, and whispered seductively in her ear, "Good... let your dear BFF know what you’re like beneath me."

"Christopher Coldson!" Lola Gold glared at him.

"What’s wrong?" Christopher Coldson’s hand cradled the back of Lola’s head, forcing her to look him straight in the eye.

He nibbled at her lips lightly, peck after peck, "You think I’m making you lose face again?"

Lola Gold struggled to turn her head away, particularly despising Christopher Coldson at this moment, as if humiliating her was his greatest pleasure.

Her voice whimpered plaintively, with a undertone of grievance, "You know full well that the one who loses face is never you."

The man rolled over, switching to a different position.

"In this world, people scorn the poor, not the prostitutes. Keep me happy, and you can have whatever you want. Who will think you’re losing face then?"

Lola Gold looked down at the man; he had the same phoenix eyes as the Coldson Family, now particularly enticing with a hint of red.

She leaned down and kissed him deeply.

Closing her eyes, she forgot her own identity, forgot the identity of Christopher Coldson... she forgot everything, fully immersing herself in the forbidden pleasure.

It wasn’t until before bed that Yolanda Greenwood received a callback from Lola Gold.

"Lola, are you okay? Your voice sounds a bit hoarse?"

Lola Gold’s cheeks reddened slightly, "I’m fine, I might have caught a chill today. Yolanda, don’t worry."

She quickly exchanged a few words with Yolanda Greenwood and hung up.

Christopher Coldson mocked from the side, "Your precious BFF really is a naïve little bunny, totally clueless."

A hazy smoke rose from his lips, "Also, my nephew is too ignorant, I as his uncle should properly teach him, shouldn’t I?"

"Forget it," Lola Gold quickly interjected, "They’re about to get divorced."

"Divorced?" Christopher Coldson chuckled softly, extinguishing the cigarette in his hand, "Just wait."

Lola Gold didn’t quite understand what he meant, but when she pressed for answers, Christopher Coldson started playing coy again.

"Little thing, stop worrying about your BFF and spend more time thinking about us."

Lola Gold helplessly replied, "What is there to think about with us?"

A clandestine relationship, a Canary that she herself couldn’t even acknowledge, what was there to think about?

Christopher Coldson pinched her backside, "Of course, I’m talking about the things we do in bed."
