Chapter 470: Chapter 470: She is as captivating as she was back then
Cooper Coldson put down his phone, sat on the sofa, and called Little Gabriel over.
"Dad," Little Gabriel snuggled up to Cooper, becoming increasingly dependent on him, "what’s wrong?"
"Gabriel, Dad has a tough problem. Can you help Dad think it over?" Cooper gently asked.
Little Gabriel immediately nodded, "Sure, Dad, tell me about it."
Cooper patted the little guy’s head, "You know Mom has amnesia, right? Now Mom wants to regain her memory..."
"That’s a good thing," Little Gabriel got excited, "If Mom recovers her memory, she might come back to us. After all, we are a family in love."
Cooper shook his head, "In the past, I did a lot of wrong things to Mom. If she remembers everything, maybe... maybe she won’t want to talk to me anymore."
Little Gabriel looked at Cooper with a troubled expression.
Cooper asked him again, "Do you still want Mom to recover her memory?"
Little Gabriel didn’t know how to answer for a moment.
"Alright, I’m being foolish. You’re just four years old, too young to think about such complicated issues." Cooper said with a bitter smile, "Okay, go upstairs and sleep, you’ll have kindergarten tomorrow."
Little Gabriel nodded and slowly walked toward the stairs.
Suddenly, he turned to look at Cooper, "Dad, you’ve realized your mistakes, right?"
Cooper nodded.
"If it’s Dad who made mistakes, then you should be punished. No matter what Mom decides, it’s her choice, isn’t it?" Little Gabriel said earnestly, "Admitting mistakes, facing mistakes, and correcting mistakes, that’s what makes a good child."
Cooper frowned, vaguely understanding his son’s meaning, "Alright, Dad got it, thank you, Gabriel."
That night, Cooper could hardly sleep, tossing and turning.
Early the next day, Adam Sterling immediately asked Yolanda Greenwood, "So? Did Cooper agree?"
"No." Yolanda shook her head helplessly.
"As expected," Adam sneered, "he says he’s realized his wrongs, says he wants to make amends, yet he doesn’t even have the courage to let you know..."
He looked at Yolanda smugly, "Yolanda, you made the right decision to divorce him back then."
Yolanda smiled bitterly, at a loss for words.
Just then, her phone rang, "It’s a call from Cooper."
Adam frowned and nodded, saying impatiently, "Tell him if he doesn’t want to help, he shouldn’t call."
Yolanda moved aside to answer the phone.
"Yolanda, I’m willing to help you." Cooper said straightforwardly.
Yolanda was a bit surprised, "Why did you suddenly change your mind?"
"It’s nothing. Some things can’t be avoided. I should learn to face them," Cooper said with a self-deprecating smile, "sometimes, I’m really not even as good as a three-year-old."
He immediately added, "I’ll come to pick you up in a while."
"Okay, thank you." Yolanda hung up the phone, turned around, and happily told Adam, "Cooper changed his mind."
Adam frowned, "Really? The sun must be rising in the west."
The sight of Yolanda’s happiness annoyed him even more, "Yolanda, let me remind you, if you regain your memory, you’re sure to hate Cooper, so you better not have any other thoughts about him now."
"Don’t worry, Adam, I know my limits." Yolanda restrained her smile and became much more serious.
After breakfast, Adam took Little Ella to kindergarten, while Yolanda tidied up and waited at home. Cooper soon arrived.
In the car, Yolanda politely asked, "Will this not affect your work?"
Cooper shook his head; today, he was driving himself, "Actually, many things at Coldson Group don’t need my attention anymore. I’ve long since stopped wanting to neglect my family because of work."
Yolanda nodded but didn’t say more.
On the way, Cooper knew Yolanda had already been back to the university, so he planned to take her to another place.
After half an hour, the car stopped in front of a small clothing store.
"Huh?" Yolanda was a bit surprised, "Is this the place you wanted to take me to?"
"Let’s buy a couple of outfits first." Cooper got out of the car smiling and proactively helped Yolanda open the door, "Since we’re revisiting old places, of course, we need the right gear."
Yolanda hesitantly got out of the car.
"You go in first." Cooper chuckled, "After all, it was you who brought me here back then."
"Really?" Yolanda hesitated for a moment but walked ahead, observing her surroundings as she went, trying to find some memories.
It was clear they were not far from the university as many students could be seen coming and going, many in pairs, their faces lit with youthful happiness.
Yolanda couldn’t help but feel the energy, as if she saw herself from the past, with smiling eyes, leading a boy into the store.
She turned her head and asked Cooper behind her, "Were we that happy when we came here?"
"Not really." Cooper let out a low laugh, "At that time, I... didn’t really like this place."
Yolanda chuckled, "Was Mr. Coldson then a noble persona? Avoiding wearing clothes designed by unknown small stores?"
Cooper shrugged, which was as good as an acknowledgment.
"Mr. Coldson has changed quite a bit now." Yolanda turned, pushing open the shop’s door.
The shop was small, full of students, both on the buying and selling ends, and as designers too. The crowd was a bit stunned to see two adults walk in.
"You guys..." A young man was the first to speak.
"We are also students from Gray City University, used to buy clothes here, today..." Yolanda started speaking but soon blushed.
The students understood her meaning, exchanged glances, looked at Yolanda, then at Cooper behind her, and started to giggle.
"Senior and Senior Sister really have enthusiasm, coming here to find the feeling of student romance?" A young girl joined in, familiarly taking Yolanda’s hand, "Senior Sister, Senior is so handsome, from which college?"
"Huh?" Yolanda was a bit flustered, not expecting the kids to misunderstand.
"Management College." Cooper answered quickly, stepping forward to look at clothes, "Yolanda, what kind of place is this? Are these clothes... wearable?"
Yolanda felt a bit awkward.
The young girl, however, saw the play clearly, "Senior Sister Yolanda, come on, back then, how did you convince Senior to buy clothes here? We want to see the scene relived."
Yolanda realized Cooper was playing along, but she couldn’t remember how she had coaxed him back then.
She anxiously looked at Cooper, only to see him nodding.
"Of course, you can wear them. The designers here are the top students of our college," Yolanda walked over to the design table confidently, "their designs will surely be sought after, sold at high prices in the future."
She waved to Cooper, "Come over here, try this one on."
Cooper stood there motionless, observing Yolanda’s slightly reddened eyes, she was exactly like back then... and still made his heart flutter.
