Chapter 151 He Should Tell the Truth to Yolanda Greenwood

Chapter 151: Chapter 151 He Should Tell the Truth to Yolanda Greenwood

Alex Johnson saw that Noah Coldson didn’t continue, so he curiously turned to look.

He saw Noah’s eyes filled with pain and self-blame, and it was unexpected to find out that the usually invincible captain also had such moments.

Without hesitating, he reached out and patted Noah on the shoulder.

Only then did Noah continue, "But brother was too afraid; when he saw his family, he first cried and sought comfort, and it took a while for the family to console him before he remembered his little sister and little brother were still in danger."

He buried his head into the circle of his arms and didn’t speak for a long time.

"Captain," after a while, Alex cautiously asked, "so, you left home at the age of six and joined the Special Training Camp to make amends for the mistakes you made back then?"

"At that time, my little brother was only five years old. When he was rescued, he had a fever for a month at home. And that little sister..."

Noah’s expression became even more pained, "She encountered an extremely twisted person and almost... almost lost the chance to ever become a mother."

He looked toward the horizon and continued, "Every day since then, I’ve been living in torment. I felt like a deserter, a coward, unworthy to appear before my little brother, so I left..."

He gave a bitter laugh, "Or should I say, I ran away once again."

Alex found it hard to imagine how a six-year-old child could muster the courage to leave home and join such a brutal special training camp.

"Captain, what does a six-year-old child understand?" he sincerely said, "Anyone would be scared in that situation; you’re not a coward."

Noah turned his head to look at Alex, clearly, his story wasn’t complete—if Melissa Greenwood knew the part that had been disclosed, would the person before him still believe in him?

"Captain, admitting your mistakes and having the courage to correct them means you’re not a coward," Alex said with conviction.

Though Noah didn’t say it outright, he guessed that the girl in the infirmary was the little sister from the story and he was somewhat surprised. He hadn’t expected the girl, who looked so delicate, to have such a brave side.

Correction?

Noah remained silent. He knew he was making another mistake now; he should tell Yolanda Greenwood the truth about Cooper Coldson and Melissa Greenwood’s marriage and let Yolanda make her own choice.

But for some reason, he just couldn’t bring himself to say it.

The base’s communication with the outside world was almost entirely cut off, meaning they couldn’t receive calls or messages unless they used specialized equipment.

Noah guessed that Cooper must have tried to call him several times by now.

He still had to go back; Lola Gold also needed to be informed.

After dinner, Noah wrote down what Yolanda needed and drove back alone.

He first contacted Lola Gold and, after getting the stuff, returned to the Coldson family mansion.

Cooper and Melissa were both there.

As soon as he entered, he was dragged away by Isabella Ross.

"What’s going on? I heard that Yolanda had a car accident. How’s the child?" Isabella asked with an urgent expression.

"You only care about the child," Noah said helplessly, "The child is safe for now."

Isabella breathed a sigh of relief, "If the child is safe, then she naturally is too."

She sounded a bit reproachful, "How can Yolanda be so careless? Pregnant as she is, she shouldn’t be driving around so recklessly."

Clearly, she didn’t know the truth.

Noah just said one thing, "Melissa knows about Yolanda’s pregnancy."

Isabella understood instantly, her anger almost uncontainable as she stormed out of the study toward the living room below and yelled up, "Melissa, come up here!"

The tone was terrifying.

Melissa looked helplessly at Cooper, puzzled; even if Noah had told Isabella that she had hit Yolanda, Isabella shouldn’t be that mad.

Unless... It suddenly became clear to her, and no wonder Isabella had a one-hundred-eighty-degree attitude change toward Yolanda previously. It turned out that Isabella already knew Yolanda was pregnant.

This cheap woman!

"Go on, it should be about the wedding." Cooper Coldson didn’t care and his gaze followed Noah Coldson as he descended the stairs.

Melissa Greenwood had no choice but to go upstairs.

As soon as she entered the study, Isabella Ross slapped her hard across the face.

"Who gave you the nerve? Dare to mess with the Coldson Family bloodline?" she suppressed her voice, trying to control her emotions.

Melissa Greenwood clutched her face, "What now? Aunt Ross disapproves of Cooper divorcing Yolanda Greenwood again? Just because she’s carrying the Coldson Family’s offspring?"

She knew Cooper well enough to realize that he would never tell Isabella Ross about his infertility.

So, she smiled, "Being pregnant, what’s so difficult about that? As long as I marry Cooper, you can have as many children as you want, legitimately."

"Hmph!" Isabella Ross looked disdainful, "Cooper hasn’t touched you, has he? Where do you get this confidence from?"

That comment hit Melissa Greenwood right at the heart, and she bit her lip before slowly speaking, "Cooper not touching me shows he genuinely cares for me, he said he wants to save our first night for our wedding day."

Isabella Ross twisted her mouth but didn’t provoke her further, "Anyhow, before you get pregnant, if you dare harm Yolanda Greenwood’s child again, I will not forgive you."

Melissa Greenwood was infuriated.

Downstairs, after Noah Coldson left the family mansion, Cooper Coldson followed him out.

"Where did you take her?"

"To a place you will never find," Noah Coldson said indifferently.

"You!" Cooper Coldson clenched his fists, "By what right? What exactly are you trying to do?"

He suddenly smiled, "Big brother, you’re not thinking of marrying her, are you?"

"If she is willing," said Noah Coldson calmly.

Cooper Coldson felt rage surge to his head, "Noah, stop being crazy! The family won’t agree, Grandpa won’t agree, and neither will Mom!"

"That’s not necessarily true." Noah Coldson laughed softly, "Besides, this is my business, I don’t need anyone else’s consent."

"You!" Cooper Coldson found Noah Coldson unreasonable.

"Cooper, why do you care so much about where she is and what she’s doing? Aren’t you going to finalize your divorce soon?"

Cooper Coldson paused and then said with a strained tone, "The cooling-off period for the divorce is almost over, and I’m just concerned she won’t be able to show up on time."

Noah Coldson nodded in understanding, "Don’t worry, I will make sure she’s there on time, even if I have to carry her on my back. But make sure you aren’t late."

He knew Cooper Coldson was just talking tough.

"Don’t worry, I certainly won’t be late," Cooper Coldson announced loudly, "and let her know that Melissa and I have set our wedding date within a week after our divorce. You are welcome to come."

Noah Coldson waved his hand, "I’ll be sure to pass on the message."

After returning to the Special Training Camp, he put away his things and indeed relayed to Yolanda Greenwood the news that Cooper Coldson and Melissa Greenwood were about to marry.

"Yolanda?"

Yolanda Greenwood listened somewhat in a daze.

"Yolanda!" Noah Coldson gently pushed her, "It’s not too late for you to regret this now."

Yolanda Greenwood smiled bitterly, shaking her head. In one week, in one week’s time, she would go with Cooper Coldson to obtain their divorce certificate.

She looked up, trying to sound cheerful, "What I’m more worried about now is whether I’ll be able to go get the divorce certificate in a week."

"Hmm?" Noah Coldson immediately tensed up.
