Chapter 269: Chapter 279: It Seems I’m the One with the Fever

Especially this kind of action, but when he does it, he is so focused, carrying a sort of sacred flavor.

"Okay, okay, I’ll help you." Mabel Quinn hurriedly said, for if this continued, who knows what she might end up doing.

Although she and he had already had many intimate moments, for her, being close to him like this now made her feel like a strange aunt taking advantage of an innocent child.

He reluctantly stopped his actions, as if still savoring the moment.

"Really?" he asked.

From the mirror, she could see that his gaze was still intensely focused on her ear, as if ready to continue if she said, "No."

"Really." She said, blushing, and only then did he let go of her hand.

Alright, just consider it as helping a child with a wash, besides, it wasn’t the first time she had helped him wash up.

While washing him, Mabel Quinn couldn’t help but ask, "Where did you learn your previous actions from?"

"On TV." He replied, "The TV I watched last night, the big sister seemed to like the big brother doing such actions too."

"..." Mabel Quinn was speechless. So he was talking about the TV drama he watched last night? This is exactly why you shouldn’t let kids watch too much TV!

Finally, after helping Kyle Kinston wash up, Mabel Quinn was sweating herself. After coming out of the bathroom, Kyle Kinston was tired, likely due to the medicine taking effect, so Mabel Quinn changed him into pajamas and let him lie down to sleep.

Looking at Kyle Kinston’s sleeping face on the bed, Mabel Quinn still felt uneasy, worried he might wake up. So she simply took her laptop into his room and started organizing the photos she had taken of him yesterday and today while accompanying his sleep.

Looking at him sleeping so soundly, she always felt an inexplicable sensation, not even knowing if he was truly real!

Around 9 PM, she received a call from the production team, asking if her cold was better and whether she would come to the set tomorrow.

"Well... I’m feeling a bit better today. If I don’t have a fever in the morning, I’ll come to the set. If I still have a fever, I’ll call in early to take a day off." Mabel Quinn said, after all, she didn’t know if Kyle Kinston’s fever would completely subside by tomorrow.

After putting down the phone, Mabel Quinn was about to continue sorting the photos when she suddenly heard Kyle Kinston’s voice, "You’re having a fever?"

She was stunned, turned her head, and saw Kyle Kinston, who unbeknownst to her, had already sat up, "You’re awake? Still feeling unwell? Or do you want to eat something?"

Her body leaned forward, but his hand suddenly lifted and reached for her forehead.

She was in a daze for a moment before realizing he was checking her forehead temperature. The expression on his face at that moment sent a shiver through her; this didn’t seem like the six-year-old state of Kyle but rather more like his usual self.

After hesitating for a moment, she said, "Uh, I’m not having a fever, and you... have you already recovered?"

He stared at her, his dark phoenix eyes seeming to want to see right through her mind and thoughts. After a long while, he slowly lowered his hand, "It seems the one with the fever is me."
