Chapter 267: Chapter 277: Know How to Deal with It

Due to the amusement park incident, Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston, along with the mother and daughter who escaped the ordeal, the amusement park manager, and the head of security, all went to the police station to give their statements.

Giving the statement wasn’t an issue, but Mabel feared that Kyle’s unusual behavior might be noticed, especially since the police chief recognized Kyle and was clearly surprised.

Even the amusement park manager and head of security were astonished, completely unaware of Kyle’s true identity.

Fortunately, Mabel had advised Kyle on the way there to speak less, so Kyle barely spoke, with Mabel doing most of the talking. However, Kyle’s hand held onto Mabel’s hand the whole time, refusing to let go.

Only when Dorian Howards arrived did Mabel finally breathe a sigh of relief.

"You’re here." Mabel said; as soon as she knew she’d be going to the police station with Kyle, she hurriedly called Dorian.

Dorian looked at Mabel with mild amusement, "It’s been less than 12 hours since we last saw each other, and you’ve already managed to get Kyle into the police station."

"It was just an accident." Mabel said with some embarrassment.

But Kyle looked like he was trying to protect his owner, glaring at Dorian.

Dorian was slightly bewildered, not expecting his friend to show such care toward Mabel. He had seen Kyle revert to childhood behavior before, but never had he seen Kyle care so much about someone.

Is it because Mabel is his destiny?

But young Kyle probably didn’t even know what destiny meant back then.

Dorian asked Mabel about the events and then said, "Alright, I’ll handle the matters here at the police station."

True to his word, Dorian dealt with things swiftly, and soon, Mabel and Kyle were in Dorian’s car, leaving the police station.

"Will the police chief notice something strange about Kyle?" Mabel asked, still somewhat worried.

"He won’t notice anything. Even if he did find something odd, he probably wouldn’t dare to think much of it," Dorian said confidently. "It’s the people who see him daily who might notice if something’s off."

Mabel nodded in agreement.

Dorian changed the subject, "It’s the first time I’ve seen Kyle in matching outfits with someone. Quite the sight."

Mabel was thoroughly embarrassed, "These matching outfits are because..."

"Because I really like Sis, and she really likes me too, so we wear them," Kyle, sitting next to Mabel, chimed in with a possessive attitude. "Sis is mine, and I’m hers."

If a six-year-old had said this, it might have been cute, but hearing it from an adult Kyle made Mabel feel her face burning.

Dorian remarked with interest, "Then you’d better work hard to make sure Sis never leaves you."

Kyle immediately became anxious, staring at Mabel, "Sis will leave me?"

"No, she won’t." Mabel shot a glance at Dorian, then rubbed Kyle’s head, realizing she had started doing this instinctively. "Sis likes Kyle so much; why would she ever leave?"
