Chapter 1374: Chapter 1378: Fairy, Please Conduct Yourself with Dignity

A cultivator without any backing must be the reincarnation of a Golden Immortal to navigate their cultivation journey so effortlessly in this lifetime. To avoid any incidents like those of Heroic Moon Xian or Bai Qingchen abducting people, Zhu Minglang decided to credit all his achievements to the Weaver Star.

Indeed, the Weaver Star had greatly aided his ascension.

However, the more Zhu Minglang attributed his success to the Weaver Star, the less acceptable Nie Ti Xingguan found it.

A newly accepted direct disciple, yet received every resource necessary to be elevated to the Moon Radiance Stage. The Spirit Roots required by a Star God to ascend to the Moon God were immensely rare, even for a deity at the Moon Radiance Stage. After all, the Spirit Roots that could purify divinity in the world were in limited supply!

The Weaver Star was treating this boy far too generously!!

So generous that it bred jealousy!

Nie Ti Xingguan was more and more convinced that their relationship was not normal!

"The Weaver Star values you greatly. Even so, you have not squandered your master’s nurturing. To achieve the status of a Moon God is entirely due to your own efforts. Still, you must work harder—do not grow complacent after becoming a Moon God. Just look at your senior brother Nie Ti; he’s already at the Moon Radiance Monarch Level, and his cultivation base is far ahead of yours. He’s not many years older than you," said the Northern Chongyang Immortal.

Even while praising his disciple, Northern Chongyang Immortal was not particularly pleased.

Nie Ti had already been a Moon Radiance Divine Lord before entering the Southern Heavenly Palace. His role as a disciple was merely transitional. All Northern Chongyang Immortal did was to help him ascend a minor level. Furthermore, Nie Ti Xingguan had backing and support; he was not entirely cultivated by the Immortal.

Northern Chongyang Immortal could understand why the Weaver Star was pouring everything into Zhu Lang. The boy was exceptionally pure, young, and devoid of any entangled affiliations. His only allegiance was to his master, making him a perfect candidate to nurture as a successor!

What a pity!

Why didn’t this boy choose me as his master back then?!

I could have trained him as my successor too!

In the end, it was because I don’t have long legs and... big enough...

Watching the crowd of Immortal Elders surrounding Zhu Minglang, Nie Ti Xingguan could hardly contain his frustration and vexation!

"Zhu Lang."

A gentle voice echoed through the air.

"I’m here!" Zhu Minglang quickly called out.

"All the seniors are here as well. Why don’t you all take your seats?" The Weaver Star walked in gracefully. She seemed to have taken special care with her appearance today, her brows and eyes exceptionally radiant, exuding both elegance and poise.

"Your disciple is well-mentored. In just a few short months, he has advanced to the Moon Radiance Stage," remarked the Southern Sea Witch.

The Weaver Star glanced at Zhu Minglang.

In truth, she wasn’t even sure when Zhu Minglang had ascended and broken through.

"What’s the matter? The Heavenly Zither Fairy doesn’t know yet?" The Southern Sea Witch noticed her confusion.

"I’m aware. I merely instructed him not to reveal his cultivation base lightly," the Weaver Star replied with a faint smile, brushing the topic aside casually.

"Indeed, at such a young age and with such cultivation, it’s best to stay reserved. If certain old evil cultivators notice, they might suspect he carries a rare, unrivaled treasure," the Southern Sea Witch said.

"If you’ll excuse us, seniors, I’ll take Zhu Lang to pay respects to an elder," the Weaver Star said.

...

Finally freed, Zhu Minglang realized that the older the celestial beings became, the more they enjoyed chatting—and they had an endless barrage of questions.

Following behind the Weaver Star, Zhu Minglang was just about to exhale a sigh of relief when she suddenly came to a stop. He quickly followed suit and even stepped back a pace.

Too close, too close—nearly caused trouble.

"When did you ascend to Moon Radiance?" The Weaver Star asked seriously without turning around.

"Just a few days ago. I didn’t have time to mention it before attending this grand event," Zhu Minglang replied.

"Who provided protection for your rites?" the Weaver Star inquired.

"I performed the Ascending Ceremony in the Beast Guardian Land, and the Executioner Cauldron Dragon protected me," Zhu Minglang answered.

"Oh," the Weaver Star nodded lightly and asked no further questions.

...

They regrouped with three other junior sisters before heading to a courtyard with a flowerbed.

Here, the sound of trickling water accompanied the courtyard filled with fragrant blooms. Many of the flowers were species Zhu Minglang had never seen before, exuding exotic, dazzling beauty, each flaunting their distinctive charm!

Spirit butterflies and honey birds flitted about, weaving through the air. As Zhu Minglang followed the Weaver Star towards the center, rows of maidservants clad in midriff-baring garments retreated. Each carried an assortment of desserts and fragrant fruits, likely previously served to some dignitaries for tasting within the courtyard’s pavilion.

Zhu Minglang couldn’t help but notice that these maidservants, offering their service, had cultivation bases at the God Child Level and above!

Despite being deities themselves, they served no differently than humble maids. It was evident that whoever they served was incomparable in status and enjoyed extraordinary extravagance.

Judging by the situation, the Immortal residing here must be the one who had earlier stirred up the resonating divine roar, holding immense prestige in Fengdeng City.

As Zhu Minglang speculated, upon their arrival, several visiting deities were dismissed—these were respected True Gods of prominence in the City of Ten Thousand Miles, yet they likely didn’t even get to meet the inhabitant of the central pavilion.

As they approached the center, Zhu Minglang caught sight of Heroic Moon Xian.

Heroic Moon Xian walked by without uttering a word, though her large eyes stared fiercely at Zhu Minglang, who trailed behind the Weaver Star.

Gong Yuexia, Qin Wu, and Nie Qiqi were also in line behind the Weaver Star. Nie Qiqi was about to gleefully run toward her mother, but Heroic Moon Xian sternly shook her head, signaling her daughter not to act rashly in such a solemn setting.

Heroic Moon Xian and the attending Moon Fairies soon withdrew, as did the serving maidens in the fragrant courtyard.

For a moment, the courtyard was left with only the Weaver Star and her four disciples.

"Sky Zither, come in quickly! I can’t be bothered dealing with those gods and immortals. It’s been ages since I’ve seen you—I have so much to share," a languid yet alluring voice called out from within the pavilion, veiled by a Yunxia curtain.

The voice caught the disciples off guard. Nie Qiqi, the youngest, even blushed fiercely, her cheeks burning crimson.

This tone...

How peculiar.

It sounded almost as if calling out to a lover.

However, the voice inside was unbelievably melodious, like a divine aria.

While the disciples felt awkward, Zhu Minglang, the sole man among them, seemed completely unfazed.

He had encountered countless Demon Girls and Fairy Maidens before. While the tone was seductive and the voice enchanting, one couldn’t assume the face matched the sound—he had seen his fair share of green-skinned Demon Girls with voices as divine as a goddess’s.

"My disciples are here too—didn’t you say you wanted to meet them?" The Weaver Star responded, her tone carrying slight awkwardness.

Such sultry and flirtatious words before her four direct disciples—this wasn’t the most appropriate. Although, when in private, the speaker often spoke this way as well.

"Just three young girls and a somewhat naïve boy, what’s the harm?"

Her tone was intoxicatingly lazy yet brimming with allure.

It was hard to imagine that this was a deity revered by all in Fengdeng City. Or perhaps, she didn’t reveal this side of herself publicly?

Honestly, Zhu Minglang hadn’t thought much of it earlier, but that single phrase, "what’s the harm," nearly sent a shiver down his spine.

Fairy, please have some decorum—there are gentlemen present!

However, this charm was likely irresistible even for women; Gong Yuexia’s cheeks were already red from merely listening.
