Chapter 1201 - Chapter 1201 Chapter 1205 Arhat Platform
Chapter 1201: Chapter 1205: Arhat Platform Chapter 1201: Chapter 1205: Arhat Platform The fall of the other North Dipper Star Gods endowed the Tian Shu God Manor with an even greater abundance of Spirit Root resources.
And the most renowned Martial Monks within the Tian Shu God Manor were indeed their Arhats.
Twelve Earthly Branch Arhats and ten Heavenly Star Monks.
In a short span of time, their Cultivation Base advanced by leaps and bounds, with countless Sects offering them superior Immortal Items. They didn’t need to do anything but merely sit on the Arhat Platform, waiting for mountains of Spiritual Objects to be fed into their mouths.
Even those with low aptitude and comprehension were of no concern; under the massive baptism of Spiritual Resources, their Cultivation Base would naturally soar dramatically.
Shrouds of crimson-gold radiance enveloped them; with the loss of any Tian Shu’s Arhat, another would arise, always maintaining the number at twenty-two.
At this moment, a one-eyed Arhat slowly rose from the Arhat Platform.
Before this one-eyed Arhat stood a hundred White Monks, all God Realm powerhouses from various major territories. Dressed in white hemp robes to highlight their piety, no matter what path they had cultivated, they all had their heads shaved.
“Go check if someone is not following the rules,” said the one-eyed Arhat.
Three white-robed Monks headed towards Candle Fire Street on Worship Boulevard.
The street was lined with golden yellow candles, in front of every household, every shop.
The burly white-robed Monk soon noticed that the candles outside one of the shops had unexpectedly gone out and strode in with a ferocious presence, kicking the wooden door to pieces with one blow.
“Candles must not go out; failure is disrespect to Our God!” the burly White Monk said icily.
“Your humble servant was momentarily negligent. I will replace it immediately. I had just gone to feed porridge to the child and didn’t notice the candle had extinguished…” the shopkeeper hurried out from the back.
“Momentarily negligent??”
“It seems you do not realize the severity of your actions. Our God allows you to live and work in peace, yet you could forget such an important matter!” the burly White Monk took a large step forward.
He stretched out his large palm and, using just one hand, seized the shopkeeper’s head and hoisted it up!
The burly White Monk flung the shopkeeper out of the house, slamming him heavily onto Candle Fire Street.
The White Monks were all in the God-state; dealing with Mortals was as simple as swatting a fly.
This throw broke several of the shopkeeper’s bones, causing him to vomit blood.
“I will make sure you remember this lesson well.” The burly White Monk clenched his fist and smashed it down towards the shopkeeper’s knee.
The punch was so powerful that a chilling sound of bones shattering echoed, followed by the shopkeeper’s piercing, heartrending screams that resounded through the entire Candle Fire Street.
“Spare my life, exalted one, spare my life!!” the shopkeeper cried out sobbingly.
“Spare what life? I did not ask for your life; I just want you to understand that failing to make timely offerings to the gods is your sin, and for sinning, you must be punished!” the burly White Monk declared.
As he spoke, the white-robed Monk raised his fist again and brought it down upon the shopkeeper’s other leg.
From inside the shop, the sound of a child’s bitter crying could be heard.
And on the street, people dared not witness the brutal scene.
Candle lights pristine, pagodas translucent, the entire Divine City shone with resplendence everywhere…
“BOOM!!!!”
All of a sudden, the pagoda standing in the center of the street exploded violently, bricks and debris scattering across the street.
“Someone has destroyed the Buddha Pagoda, someone has destroyed the Buddha Pagoda!!” Someone shouted loudly.
Three white-robed monks immediately turned their heads and hurried towards the location of the pagoda.
The pagoda had already turned into ruins, and from the ruins, a man slowly walked towards the white-robed monks, followed by a Black Dragon. The Black Dragon knew nothing of reverence, opening its mouth to spew Dragon Flame at the statues, instantly turning them into ash!!
The burly white-robed monk glared at the Dragon Shepherd with fury.
He said coldly, “Not even replacing the incense could save you from at least having your legs broken. Do you know what crime it is to destroy both the Buddha Pagoda and the statues??”
“Let’s hear it.” The Dragon Shepherd said.
“First throw him in the ice prison, freeze him for three days and three nights, then carry him to the street corner to be stepped over by the worshipers, one by one. Do you know what that feels like? Flesh frozen stiff like blocks, then trampled into icy dregs of flesh and bone. Watching helplessly as your body parts scatter across the ground like machinery components,” the burly white-robed monk explained.
“I see. Then what if someone were to kill Hua Chou? What kind of punishment would that be? Let’s hear it.”
“You… what did you say, you… you’re simply… No extreme punishment inflicted upon you would be enough to earn forgiveness!!” The three white monks became uncontrollably enraged upon hearing these words.
“I never intended to spare you either!” Zhu Minglang waved his hand.
The Refining Ash Black Dragon lifted its claws and ferociously slammed them down onto the three white monks!
The three white monks were nothing but a blustering front; they stood no chance against the blows of a Divine Dragon Lord level Black Dragon.
Lifting its claw and slamming it down again and again, the pure brute force violently broke the bones of the three white-robed monks. Soon, the tragic cries of the three monks could be heard all over Candle Fire Street, even more pitiful than the earlier cries from the shop owner.
Heading straight for the Arhat Platform, Zhu Minglang dispatched the three monks effortlessly.
But soon, other white-robed monks had been alerted and rushed over.
Ninety-seven white monks came out in full force, positioned on both sides of the long road that Zhu Minglang was walking along.
Zhu Minglang paid them no heed and continued to move forward.
Any white monk who stood in his way was basically slapped to death by the Refining Ash Black Dragon!
Ordinary worshipers were not allowed near the Arhat Platform, much less dared to fight with the specially-statused white monks. Behind Zhu Minglang on that Candle Fire street, a large crowd had gathered, their heads raised, some in disbelief as they watched Zhu Minglang ascend the Arhat Platform like a Slaughter God!
The Arhat Platform was like a huge altar rising in the midst of the bustling Divine City. The twenty-two Arhat Platforms acted like fortresses and checkpoints; to enter God Pagoda Forest, one must pass these Arhat Platforms!
The mission was said to be an assassination of Hua Chou.
In reality, their way of assassination was to kill their way through!
The presence of Xuange God made any assassination plans pointless. The Slaughter God Boulevard was filled with obstacles from the start; the only way through was to pave a path with corpses and blood!
This was the first Arhat Platform.
Zhu Minglang killed a person right there on the Arhat Platform Boulevard.
Others would clear some obstacles ahead for Zhu Minglang in different ways, but Zhu Minglang himself had to walk this path.
With Xuange God’s foresight, hiding in the shadows was utterly useless.
On top of the Bronze Lotus of the Arhat Platform sat a one-eyed monk in white hemp clothing.
The monk’s remaining eye had been gouged out, not covered with a patch, but instead leaving the hollow and twisted eye socket exposed. No matter how he draped in white or held the Buddha Beads, nothing could mask the ferocity manifested in his appearance.
He didn’t resemble a Buddha Believer, more like a wild, irritable Divine Beast that had been wounded. His solitary eye was emitting a venomous light, fixed on Zhu Minglang.
