Chapter 408: Chapter 408: The Unlucky Son

Just after the family split, the Old Zhou family was struck by a sudden misfortune, but luckily, relatives from both maternal uncles’ families were present, providing some support.

Their help was sought to call for a doctor, and the doctor was called.

As soon as Madam Lu came to, she began to go mad, first sitting on the ground crying her heart out, then pointing at Lady Liang and the others, accusing them. It was all because they insisted on splitting the family, ruining the Zhou family’s feng shui luck.

Otherwise, how could it be that just after the split, the Yamen Runners came and took Zhou Xuennian away?

This baseless accusation infuriated Lady Liang to the point where she almost lost her child, unable to hold back any longer, she struck back.

"If our uncle, the scholar, had obtained his title through proper means, how could such a disaster have occurred? But what is the truth? You two hoodwinked the entire family out of all its silver to buy his position, do you think I don’t know?" Lady Liang, holding her belly, raged.

Madam Lu’s gaze flickered and under her old mother’s pinch, she dared not argue back and opted to throw a tantrum and cry instead.

"Where has Dajun gone, the house is turned upside down and he still hasn’t returned!" The Lu Family members looked around and did not see Zhou Dajun, and couldn’t help but feel resentful.

Where had Zhou Dajun gone?

He was wandering back in a daze, with a sorrowful expression and a face ashen as if dead.

And why?

The story began earlier, that’s right, it was because Zhou Dajun had slept with a sow.

Although it was declared to the public that he had encountered something unclean, Zhou Dajun and the Zhou family members all understood the real truth quite clearly.

During the days at home, Zhou Dajun dared not venture outside, staying at home every day, but he noticed something was wrong with himself.

Zhou Dajun discovered that if he ever felt even slightly aroused, as soon as he recalled the incident with the pig, that part of him would immediately go limp, with no reaction afterward.

For a day or two, Zhou Dajun didn’t pay much mind, but after so much time had passed and he was still the same, he knew something was wrong.

Zhou Dajun was scared to death. That part of him not functioning was a matter of life and death, but he did not dare to tell his family.

Thinking that maybe he had not yet encountered a real woman, he stealthily took one of Madam Lu’s silver bracelets from the bottom of her chest and quietly went to a dark building by the river in the town.

However, no matter how the Flower Girl teased him, no matter what tricks she tried, Zhou Dajun just couldn’t perform, always reminded of that shameful scene.

Thus, he was dejectedly driven out, and in the moment that the door to the dark building closed, he seemed to hear the Flower Girl’s mocking laughter.

He was impotent!

Zhou Dajun fell into despair.

He wandered back home in a daze, only to see the entrance crowded with people, whispering and pointing. He paused, then rage welled up within him.

"Scram! Why are you all crowding at my doorstep? Scram!" Zhou Dajun charged forward, bellowing with fury.

The crowd, seeing the rage in his bloodshot eyes, took a step back in fear.

Zhou Dajun snorted and slammed the courtyard door shut.

As he turned around, a slap caught him off guard, someone had struck him on the shoulder.

"Where have you been dead? Your father’s been taken away by government officers!" Madam Lu wailed as she beat him.

Zhou Dajun was so startled that he froze, looking stupefied.

Madam Lu’s hitting lost its purpose, so she simply sat on the ground and started wailing like a shrew again.

Zhou Dajun pursed his lips and entered his room without a word, shut the door, and lay on the bed, ignoring everyone’s calls, pulling the covers over his head.

If his father’s misfortune wasn’t enough, his was worse. If he couldn’t even perform as a man, what was the point?

Thinking of his future plight, Zhou Dajun began to panic too, and then remembering Wufu’s cold eyes, how she was unmoved no matter how he begged, wanting to ruin him, a surge of hate also rose within him.
