Chapter 316: Chapter 316: Obsessed

Zhou Dajun fled Wufu’s home, like a headless fly, running home in a frantic panic. He knocked over Zhou Xiuer, who was holding a basin of beans in the courtyard, causing her to fall straight to the ground.

"Zhou Dajun, is a ghost chasing you from behind? Pick up those beans you spilled!" Zhou Xiuer chastised, rubbing her waist as she stood up. Smelling a strong odor of alcohol, she couldn’t help but pinch her nose and step back, exclaiming, "Good heavens, did you pour an entire bottle of alcohol on yourself? It stinks to death!"

"Get lost!" Zhou Dajun shoved her aside, his eyes bloodshot, looking as if he could eat someone alive.

Zhou Xiuer was startled and froze on the spot.

Zhou Dajun had no intention of dealing with her; he needed to hide. He had committed murder. If Wufu came back, he would kill him.

It was then that Zhou Dajun’s drunkenness finally began to fade, and he realized what he had done.

He must have been possessed, to think of doing such a thing to Madam Zhou...

Zhou Dajun’s face became deathly pale as he looked down at his hands, which began to tremble.

Was Madam Zhou dead? The teapot shattered, her head covered in blood. Was she dead? She must be, right?

Snickering.

Zhou Dajun’s face was filled with terror, and his teeth chattered.

Zhou Xiuer, seeing clearly, asked fearfully, "Big brother, what’s wrong with you?"

Zhou Dajun seemed not to hear.

Zhou Xiuer couldn’t help but shout, "Mother, Mother, come quickly! Big brother has been bewitched!"

Madam Lu heard the noise and came out from the kitchen, barking, "What are you shrieking about?"

"Mother, take a look at Big brother. He looks like he’s lost his soul!" Zhou Xiuer had never seen Zhou Dajun in such a distraught state, and she was scared.

Madam Lu saw her eldest son and approached him: "Dajun?"

Zhou Dajun looked up, his eyes unfocused until his mother’s shouting pierced his ears, snapping him back to reality.

"Mother, save me, please save me," Zhou Dajun fell to his knees before Madam Lu, grabbing the hem of her skirt, and began to wail.

Madam Lu was startled and quickly asked, "What happened?"

"Mother, I’ve killed someone, I’ve killed," Zhou Dajun cried as he spoke.

"What?"

The shrieks were from two people, Madam Lu and Zhou Xiuer, who both looked at Zhou Dajun as if he were a lunatic.

Killed someone? Had they misheard?

Zhou Dajun said he had killed someone? Who?

Madam Lu, feeling her heart plummet, but given her years of experience, she instructed Zhou Xiuer to lock the courtyard door and then dragged Zhou Dajun into her room.

"Speak, what happened? What’s this about killing someone?" Madam Lu’s heart was pounding.

Zhou Dajun swallowed hard and said, "I, I went to Wufu’s place to hang out, and I had a few arguments with my aunt. I grabbed a teapot and smashed her forehead. Blood, a lot of blood flowed."

"What?" Madam Lu’s voice was shrill as she questioned harshly, "Why on earth did you go there? What were you doing there?"

Zhou Dajun hung his head, not daring to speak.

Madam Lu felt something was off. Her son usually looked down on Wufu and his family, couldn’t be bothered with them; hearing now that he went there to play seemed bizarre. Seeing his current state only increased her suspicion.

"You’re not speaking? How can I decide for you if you don’t speak? Do you want to die?" Madam Lu was furious, slapping his shoulder a few times.

Zhou Dajun neither dodged nor flinched, his head drooped to his chest, his voice low, he said, "I, I drank too much alcohol, got drunk, and lost my senses. I, I tore my aunt’s clothes and wanted, wanted... She refused, so I..."

Madam Lu only heard him mention ripping Zhou Yingmei’s clothes before her eyes rolled back and she fainted, collapsing backward.
