Doted By The Regent King
Chapter 308

Chapter 308: 308

The place where someone died was, after all, unclean, and although the dead tiger weighed a thousand pounds, there were many hands to help. Together, they carried it to a ravine with a stream and skinned and deboned it.

Cooled by the mountain water, Wufu had already washed his face clean and quite naturally took the dry handkerchief Ah Jiu handed to him, wiped his face, and tucked it into his chest, before sitting down on a boulder to watch everyone bustling around the dead tiger.

Ah Jiu also sat beside her, passing over a waterskin and frowning at the fresh streak of blood on her face.

Made uncomfortable by his stare, Wufu couldn’t help but ask, "What?"

"Your face is hurt," Ah Jiu pointed to her face.

Wufu reached to touch it, but Ah Jiu, without thinking, grabbed her hand to stop her, "Don’t touch, it’ll get inflamed and swollen." As he spoke, he also called out for Bai Xiaobai.

Still holding Wufu’s hand, he raised it, arching an eyebrow, and spoke with his eyes.

Ah Jiu reacted as if electrocuted, his ears turning red, and he pulled his hand back resentfully. When Bai Xiaobai came over, he said, "The medicine for wounds."

Bai Xiaobai, anxious to get the Tiger Bone, knew he couldn’t escape with Su Luo and the others around; seeing the blood on Wufu’s face, he untied a cloth bag from around his waist, opened it, and revealed a pile of bottles and jars.

Wufu, looking at it, arched her eyebrows again, "Goodness, all this is medicine?"

Bai Xiaobai took out a Jade Box and handed it over, "For reducing swelling and scars, apply it three times a day."

Ah Jiu took it and, seeing the clothes on Wufu’s shoulder torn by the tiger, revealing a patch of flesh, diverted his gaze to her face.

"Are you hurt anywhere else?" Ah Jiu asked her, not waiting for her response before commanding Bai Xiaobai, "Take her pulse."

Bai Xiaobai, upon hearing this, grabbed Wufu’s hand and placed it on his knee to feel her pulse.

"Are you a doctor?" Wufu asked curiously.

Bai Xiaobai glared at her, "What doctor? I am a Ghost Doctor, hmph." Soon, he let go and said, "It’s nothing serious, just a slight internal injury." He took out another bottle from the array of containers and threw it at her, "Take one of these every day."

Wufu caught it, grabbed his sleeve, and smiled sycophantically, "Good Xiao Bai, seeing as I so generously sold the tiger to you, how about some golden sore medicine in return?"

The title Ghost Doctor sounded very impressive; surely he would be more effective than an ordinary doctor. With so many bottles and jars, he must have even better medicines.

It never hurts to ask. They might come in handy later.

When Bai Xiaobai heard her flattering and coaxing tone, his face flushed a little, feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

Ah Jiu looked somewhat displeased.

"Boss, this big insect turned out to be a male, look at how long this tiger’s ’whip’ is!" Hoo Die, holding something unspeakable, shouted at Ah Jiu.

Tiger’s ’whip’!

Ah Jiu almost slid off the boulder, glaring at Hoo Die a few times, and then glancing at Wufu while trying to maintain a serious and dignified face.

Wufu burst out laughing.

Upon hearing the words ’tiger’s whip,’ Bai Xiaobai hurriedly rummaged through his containers for a box of golden sore medicine and stuffed it into Wufu’s hand, then rushed toward Hoo Die, "The tiger’s whip? Give it to me, give it to me!"

Ah Jiu’s face immediately turned as dark as the bottom of a pot, his gums clenched in annoyance, surrounded by a bunch of thoughtless people.

Wufu laughed heartily, teasingly looking at Ah Jiu, "Your subordinates, hmm, they’re quite straightforward, aren’t they?"

Too funny.

Ah Jiu, seeing her laugh with such glee, humphed through his nose and said in irritation, "Apply the medicine!"

Cursed Hoo Die, humiliating himself to death. Once they got back, he would punish him with twenty lashes.
