Don’t Mess with that Turtle
Chapter 662 - 662 160 Seeing the Hexagram Again_1

662: Chapter 160: Seeing the Hexagram Again_1 662: Chapter 160: Seeing the Hexagram Again_1 “Mingzu, is this the Star Sea?” Su He stood by the altar, letting the Little Tai Hexagram draw the Rhythm of Tai Chi as he inquired of Mingzu.

“Star Sea?

Has that name become widespread in later generations?” Mingzu chuckled, “Currently, only a few people call it that; this is where the Heavenly Court of ancient times was located.”

Su He had heard this name more than once.

Out of curiosity, he asked, “The Jade Emperor, the Queen Mother of the West?”

Mingzu was clearly taken aback.

“What are those?”

“Uh…

never mind, please continue,” Su He shook his head, apparently it wasn’t the same mythology.

Mingzu chuckled, “There’s not much to say.

Rumor has it that in the old days, countless numbers pushed open the gates to the Fairy Sect here, including several dozen Immortal Sovereigns.

However, those numbers are surely exaggerated.

It’s said that at that time, Immortal Sovereigns could even traverse the river of time.”

He looked at Su He and laughed heartily, “But how could that be possible?

The Four Directions Immortal Sovereigns like Baiyin and Tan Tai, they couldn’t do it either!”

This little fellow is special; he’s not from this realm, not subject to the temporal constraints here, which is to be expected.

Mingzu’s dim, old eyes looked into the distance as if trying to see through the river of time itself.

He muttered, “It’s probably like your era, with our legends being exaggerated beyond description.

Isn’t it said that during our time, Immortal Sovereigns were numerous, and Divine God Beasts filled the skies?”

Su He was taken aback for a moment, then shook his head slightly.

Quite the opposite!

In later times, so many people aren’t even aware of the existence of Immortal Sovereigns; some even question whether the gates to the Fairy Sect can be opened at all.

There are almost no records concerning this era.

Mingzu looked at Su He, his dragon whiskers twitching: “…isn’t that so?”

They fight to the death with the Yuan Sovereign Clan every day, and over these 300,000 years, three Dragon Turtles have died.

Won’t the later generations even boast about them a little?

A feeling of inexplicable heartache arose.

He sighed and after a long pause, he said, “The Heavenly Court truly exists.

The ghost creature that Little White just pulled out from your Inner World was probably the spirit of a deceased Heavenly Court Soldier.

She likely discovered something, hence her forceful taking of your ghost creature.”

The rarity of a Heavenly Court Soldier doesn’t need much thought, and who knows how difficult it was for the little turtle of later times to obtain it.

Yet he gave it away without even blinking an eye.

He doesn’t even acknowledge Baiyin for his sacrifice.

As Su He absorbed the Rhythm of Tai Chi, the Turtle Egg trembled more violently than it had in previous years.

Everyone’s gaze fell upon the Turtle Egg.

Mingzu pondered, with the Little Sixty-Four Hexagrams in Su He’s Inner World being naturally able to detect the outer hexagrams.

An egg innately carrying a divination sign—whose egg was this?

Are there existences within the Dragon Turtle Tribe that he is unaware of?

Plagued by doubts, Mingzu looked at the Turtle Egg on the altar.

Suddenly his eyes brightened, his dragon whiskers twitched, and a flurry of starlight appeared from nowhere, intertwining into various symbols in the air before forming a huge Hexagram above.

“䷏”

The Yu Hexagram—a completely condensed Hexagram!

Inside the Inner World, not just the cheerful Little Tai Hexagram, but also the Little Yu Hexagram became lively, joining hands with the Little Tai Hexagram and rotating around Tai’a Mountain as the leader of the Sixty-Four Hexagrams, about to draw the rhythm of the Yu Hexagram.

Mingzu glanced back at Su He, his dragon whiskers touched the Yu Hexagram, and instantly halted the extraction.

He laughed heartily, “Little guy, no need to rush, I can’t give it to you right now.”

He laughed; two dragon whiskers pressed down like hands, and the Yu Hexagram descended onto the Turtle Egg, stars raining down from it like a drizzle into the Turtle Egg.

Martial Ancestor furrowed his brows slightly on the side: “Old Ancestor, do you plan to split the Tai Hexagram in half?”

Mingzu laughed and nodded, “Yes!

A Hexagram sign is too much for one egg to bear.

This little one’s innate possession of a divination sign, while priceless, also hinders its development.”

The energy needed to cultivate a Hexagram is enormous; how could an egg provide for it?

The Dragon Turtle Tribe could easily support it, but such a large influx of energy and Yuan Power would be too much for the egg to handle.

Could Su He’s arrival today not be the will of heaven?

If not for Su He, unless one day the Tai Hexagram became sentient and left the Turtle Egg of its own accord, even if the world came to an end, the egg could never hatch.

Once a Hexagram hides itself, unless it reveals itself willingly, it cannot be discovered by others.

Not even a Dragon Turtle Old Ancestor nor two Immortal Sovereigns could sense it here.

The Yu Hexagram—adapting with the times and situation.

Isn’t it born precisely for this moment?

As the Yu Hexagram fell, a symbol within the Turtle Egg shimmered, revealing its complex design which Su He could not understand.

But Su He had seen its upper half.

Tai Zu’s Tai Trigram, the lower verse had already condensed completely, but the upper verse was still symbolic.

It was about seventy percent similar to this symbol.

The stars of Mingzu’s Yu Hexagram fell upon the Tai Trigram, and with a deep command, “Open!” the Tai Trigram seemed as if a Jade Pendant had been snapped asunder, the host and guest divinations separating instantly.

Sensing the threat as they parted, they each attempted to merge into the Turtle Egg but were suppressed under Mingzu’s claw.

Yet, stubbornly, the divination sign repeatedly struck Mingzu’s turtle claw, attempting to burrow into the Turtle Egg.

Mingzu shook his head, using the Yu Hexagram to suppress the guest part of the Tai Trigram.

Then he looked back at the Turtle Egg, only to see wisps of energy from within the egg flowing towards the guest part under the Yu Hexagram.

Even separated, they couldn’t prevent the Tai Trigram from drawing power from the Turtle Egg.

This is the strange aspect of a Hexagram; each has its own temperament and properties.

Without in-depth research, it’s challenging to grasp.

The Tai Trigram adjusts with the times, constantly changing itself to deal with different environments.

Even separating the host from the guest part proved ineffective.

Mingzu pondered for a moment and with a flip of his claw, imprinted the guest part of the Tai Trigram onto Su He with a snap, pushed inward, and a streak of light flashed.

The guest divination snaked into his body along with his breath and settled within the Boundary Pearl, as though it wanted to escape but could not find its way back out.

The energy from the Turtle Egg flowing to the guest part of the Tai Trigram was cut off.

Su He’s past life did not belong to this world; the Dragon Turtle True Form did not belong to this era.

Their intertwining fusion made the two parts of the Tai Trigram unable to locate each other.

The Guest Divination jumped in the Inner World, looking startled and hesitant, as if reluctant to move.

Then it floated up and settled on the Little Tai Trigram.

This was the only familiar presence in this strange world.

With the Guest Divination perched atop it, the Little Tai Trigram spun around Tai’a Mountain like a frolicking dog, full of playful energy.

Mingzu looked at the Turtle Egg and suddenly found it much more pleasing to the eye.

The Turtle Egg, no longer trembling as before, was being infused with energy from the altar, continually enhancing itself.

Given time, it would one day hatch.

It was unknown what sins the egg had committed to be infused with the Tai Trigram during its formation, resulting in its natural innate control of the Tai Trigram as if it was a birthright Magical Treasure that others could not snatch away.

But the burden of the Tai Trigram meant the Turtle Egg might never hatch.

“Next time I have a chance to come back, if this turtle hatches, I’ll return the Guest Divination to it,” Mingzu told Su He.

It wasn’t that taking away the Guest Divination would affect the future control over the Hexagrams by the turtle within the egg.

Su He nodded silently.

But did Su He know that Thai Zu only condensed the main trigram into a Hexagram, while the Guest Divination still remained in the form of Symbols?

Was it related to him taking away the Guest Divination?

As Su He pondered, he saw the Yu Hexagram float over his head, landing before him.

Mingzu’s dragon whiskers swayed, a gesture suggesting Su He could do as he pleased.

Su He hesitated slightly, “Mingzu, when I draw in the Hexagram, it will condense into an Opening Heaven Divine Artifact, and I have just recently ‘Opened The Heaven’.”

With both the Tai Trigram and the Yu Hexagram, absorbing them might lead to trouble!

His current Inner World was not stable enough to support another Heaven-Opening event.

Mingzu smiled, “Your Hexagram is like a normal Dragon Turtle, comprehending Laws and condensing the Great Tao.

Who decided that possessing the Great Tao means you must condense an Opening Heaven Divine Artifact?

Isn’t it fine just to leave it there and look at it?”

This reminder was like a bolt of spring thunder in Su He’s mind, as if something was about to emerge, but it was obscured by a layer of fog, elusive no matter how hard he tried to grasp it.

He needed to think more carefully, but Baiyin and Tan Taifeng had already returned.

The Ghost Creature was nowhere to be seen, presumably sealed away by Baiyin.

Looking at the floating Yu Hexagram, Baiyin blinked, “Is this the benefit of recognizing one’s lineage and returning to it?”

She turned to Mingzu, “Hey, old turtle!

What about mine?”

Today, I too have recognized my lineage and returned.

Mingzu laughed heartily.

With a flick of his beard, a Bead fell in front of Baiyin.

Baiyin was also considered to have been raised under his watchful eye.

Her master and he were very close friends, but tragically, her master had died at the hands of the Yuan Sovereign Clan years ago.

Throughout her journey, he had taken care of Baiyin quite a bit.

Baiyin was like a half-disciple to him, an outsider.

Without the constraints of official status, they got along even more harmoniously.

Baiyin laughed merrily, very pleased as she took the Bead and tucked it into her Brocade pouch at her waist.

She patted her stomach and snapped her fingers, then turned to Su He nonchalantly and said, “Let’s go!”

This place was nothing but a Star Sea and a continent; what was so interesting about that?

Stars are better observed from a distance and not approached closely.

Su He looked at the Yu Hexagram before him.

Mingzu, flipping his dragon whiskers, said, “Take it, take it!”

The Yu Hexagram had already been fully condensed by him and belonged to Su He now, beyond the reach of others.

Once Su He absorbed it, it would naturally return.

He had to guard the passage and could not leave easily.

He needed to stay and protect the Turtle Egg, a peculiar egg that, though unhatched, could bear the breath of the Star Sea.

It seemed that the Yuan Power here was of even greater benefit to the Turtle Egg.

Baiyin laughed heartily and slapped Su He on the back of the head, “Let’s move!”

Su He shot off like a shooting star toward the Star River, with the Yu Hexagram hanging at his side like a kite.

Baiyin shouted, “Hey!

Daredevil thief, don’t you dare steal my Hexagram!”

She sprang up in pursuit.

Tan Tai Immortal Sovereign shook his head and stepped ahead of the two of them, stepping into the Xuanwu Passage before the youthful duo without minding their childish antics.

She encountered a repelling force in the passage, barring her from passing back through to Di Mountain.

Entering the Star Sea was akin to ascending to the Upper Realm; without official business, one could not just return at will.

A flash of light emanated from Tan Tai Immortal Sovereign, and the repelling force in the passage vanished, the aura of the entire passage becoming reverent.

Immortal Sovereign was not just a Boundary Status; it was also an identity.

Even in the Ancient times of the Heavenly Court, an Immortal Sovereign was free to move as they wished.

Baiyin dragged Su He out of the passage, and Su He felt the scenery flash before his eyes.

He was no longer in the Star Sea, nor did he stand before a mountain with its own independent starry sky.

This place was Di Mountain itself.

Su He wanted to look for any familiar Dragon Turtles but was dragged away by Baiyin, passing through the End of the World Cave in an instant and landing outside.

They moved so quickly it was as if Baiyin feared he would have contact with the Dragon Turtles.

Tan Tai glanced at him, “The Boundary Pearl has arrived; you should minimize contact with the Dragon Turtle Tribe and the Phoenix Clan, lest they notice something amiss.”

Some things are best kept to as few people as possible.

Baiyin leaped out, looking eastward where dawn was breaking, and stretched languidly.

She then casually slapped the air above.
