Don’t Mess with that Turtle
Chapter 350 - 350 59 Stealing a Few Years of Life_1

350: Chapter 59: Stealing a Few Years of Life_1 350: Chapter 59: Stealing a Few Years of Life_1 Midsummer had arrived, and the rain at Changyue Mansion had increased.

What started as a drizzle soon turned into a downpour, soaking the mountains and swallowing the bamboo forest.

Between the bamboo, the calling of the deer was clear and resonant, echoing in the open space.

The heavy rain pattered against the pond, creating a melodious sound of water beads dancing beneath the surface.

It was like a song full of longing.

Su Huanian slowly woke up, still with his arms around Su He’s neck, and opened his eyes to Su He’s smiling gaze.

The fairy’s cheeks were flushed, but she did not shy away, gently touching Su He’s dark scale armor and softly saying, “Thank you.”

Su He did not know what she was thanking him for, but was happy nonetheless.

He nudged his head closer, tightening his embrace around Su Huanian even more.

The fairy smiled gently, her cheek resting against Su He’s scale armor.

Neither of them moved; they just quietly listened to the rain hitting the pond, as the lotus leaves on the water’s surface broke under the weight.

After an undetermined amount of time, a mermaid’s anxious voice came from the shore, “Miss, the Xuanhuang Pool is off-limits, as it’s the master and madam’s chamber.”

Ya Ya had arrived.

Su Huanian blushed slightly, trying to wrestle her way out of Su He’s embrace, only to find herself held even tighter.

Her entire body was pressed against Su He, her rigid chest against the turtle scales, nearly bursting through her clothes.

This turtle is doing it on purpose!

Su Huanian’s face grew even redder.

Then, from midair came a startling peal of thunder, crack!

A bolt of lightning struck Autumn Lake of Changyue Mansion.

Outside, Ya Ya looked up at the sky, her face showing anger, “You scared me!

Think you’re the only one who can summon lightning, huh!”

She yelled out as she threw a punch, and a bolt of thunder soared into the sky, exploding among the dark clouds and illuminating the entire world.

Beneath the pond, the shadows of Su He and Su Huanian stretched long, gently rippling with the water of Xuanhuang Pool.

“Alright, Ya Ya is coming down!” Su Huanian murmured, struggling out of Su He’s embrace.

She smoothed the disheveled clothes that had been ruffled from the embracing, glanced at Su He with a flushed face, and sprang up to the surface of the water.

The moment she emerged, her clothes became instantly dry.

She happened to encounter Ya Ya running in with her little fists waving.

The little mermaid’s red clothes were a Magical Treasure, impervious to water and fire, not getting wet in the downpour, though her hair was drenched and sticking to her face.

Su Huanian shook her head and gave a light laugh, touching the top of Ya Ya’s head, making the rain naturally part ways.

“What’s the rush for?”

Ya Ya glared with her large amber eyes, tilting her head to one side, cheerfully circling around Su Huanian, blinking, “Eh?

No little brother hatched?”

Outside, mermaids had already come in, hurriedly pulling Ya Ya away and muttering softly, “Miss, it won’t be so fast, it takes at least ten months to bear a child, and even longer if you’re carrying a Dragon Turtle.”

Su Huanian’s face turned a deep shade of red.

Just then, Su He, who was about to emerge from the water, blinked.

That little mermaid must be inexperienced; how could such a large Dragon Turtle possibly…?

At least, Su He would have to take human form, or Su Huanian would have to cultivate a Turtle Body!

Ya Ya nodded thoughtfully and turned to look at Su He in the water, excitedly saying, “Daddy!

Let’s go out and play!”

Having spent already half a year at Changyue Mansion, there were too few people here, only the Camel could play with her.

The mermaids were excessively cautious around her, daring not to do anything.

It was even worse than it had been with her fellow disciples at Qingyuan Gate.

Su He surfaced, twirling his snake body as he patted her head, “Wait until your Boundary Status is stable and your mother’s injuries are fully healed, then we’ll go out and play.”

Ya Ya pouted, “Alright then—I want to eat big shrimps!”

“Okay!” Su He laughed.

Just yesterday, Green Thunder had brought a bunch of treasures, one of which was a fishing rod capable of fishing through the Break Air.

The shrimps the little tyke wanted to eat were no ordinary big shrimps.

Forget ordinary shrimps; feeding Ya Ya unusual Exotic Beast big shrimps from the Profound Moon Realm would lead to Green Thunder coming after Su He with a whip in hand.

Just hatched, now was the best time to consolidate her Boundary Status and enhance her potential.

Feeding Ya Ya those various things would definitely earn a beating.

With a cheer, Ya Ya jumped onto Su He’s back.

The Toad had already made a Break Air arrival on its own initiative, placed down a shrimp fishing rod, and vanished again in a hastened teleport.

What a loss!

A huge loss!

Yesterday, when Green Thunder had brought a pile of treasures and casually thrown them on the cliffside, it had been lured into sleeping the entire night away by the Tao Scripture’s Rhyme emanating from Su He, only waking up at the break of dawn.

With so many treasures, several of which required special preservation and couldn’t be left scattered about!

A brood of prodigals!

The Toad, after dropping the bamboo fishing rod, retreated.

Back at the cliff, the Green Bird chattered in the trees, and the Toad glanced at it with a helpless expression.

Such a divine creature as Su Huanian, how did she end up with a Soul Beast with such an empty head, unable to recognize even these treasures?

The Toad jumped among the treasures, sorting and collecting them meticulously.

Those that needed solid preservation were placed in its stomach pocket.

Those that could be stored in the treasure house were also temporarily kept in its own pocket until the little couple remembered to build a treasure house and then they could be transferred.

Su He consecrated the fishing rod, while Ya Ya pounced from his Turtle Shell onto his Spirit Snake Body, lying sprawled out.

She was happy again, anticipating the taste of fresh shrimps.

After the consecration was complete, Su He leaped into action and headed for the large lake.

The mermaids had already prepared the bait, casting the line, and the hook pierced the air, reaching into unknown waters.

Su He extended his Divine Sense along the fishing line to a body of water, not too large at about a hundred li.

There were three fishing rods around the lake, including Su He’s.

The three anglers respected each other’s space, neither disturbing nor surprising anyone, each fishing on their own side.

However, the lake was crystal clear and devoid of fish or shrimps.

Su He was very patient, and having cast his line, he waited quietly, his mind reviewing the insights of last night about the Xuanwu Star Lodge.

In the garden, Su Huanian watched Su He floating in the sky and Ya Ya rolling on his back, smiling radiantly.

She turned to a mermaid nearby and asked, “Could I trouble you folks to help me with something?”
