Don’t Mess with that Turtle -
Chapter 334 - 334 53 Bai Ze Still Suppressing Bai Ze!_3
334: Chapter 53 Bai Ze: Still Suppressing Bai Ze!_3 334: Chapter 53 Bai Ze: Still Suppressing Bai Ze!_3 Time had become a blur, and the sly Soaring Snakes in all directions were nearly extinct.
Green Thunder bowed his head, studying the Stone Drum Altar, with the light of Talisman Runes flickering in his eyes.
Perceiving the tumult of Chaos, he looked at Su He, “Had enough fun?”
Su He nodded.
Looking at Green Thunder, a thought suddenly flashed through his mind: his own foundation was inadequate, and even with the blessing of the Tao Te Ching, he couldn’t grasp the essence of it.
If it were another from the Dragon Turtle Tribe, would they not have gained something?
The Dragon Turtle Tribe was his foundation; the advancement of a single Dragon Turtle was akin to his own advancement.
Any Cultivation Technique grasped by a Dragon Turtle would surely be open to him.
With a serious face, Su He asked, “Uncle Lei, is it possible to seal this heaven and earth?”
“Hmm?” Green Thunder looked down, puzzled.
It was then that Su He, with a light smile by his feet, said, “I have a Tao Scripture that should not be passed on to others; it’s best to seal even this piece of heaven and earth so that it goes from my mouth to your ear.”
Green Thunder laughed heartily.
This Little Turtle’s earnest appearance was quite something.
Becoming a father truly changed one; even a turtle became serious.
Despite his laughter, Green Thunder slammed down a claw, sweeping a wave of green thunder-light across.
Su He felt as though he and the entire world were isolated, a thin membrane of thunder underfoot, surrounded by green light.
The clamor from outside the Chaos disappeared in an instant.
The Profound Realm, the Soul Beasts, none could be sensed.
Indeed, heaven and earth had been isolated.
“It’s done,” Green Thunder said gravely.
Su He nodded, opening his mouth, but couldn’t recite the Tao Te Ching.
A strange feeling arose, akin to how he was unable to speak of things inside the Evil-suppressing Taoist Palace—unable to recite the Tao Te Ching!
It was as if, in the moment he opened his mouth, his mind went blank, unable to recall a single word of the Tao Te Ching.
It was as if the Tao Te Ching itself didn’t wish to be recited, didn’t want to be spread!
Su He was astonished.
This was very much in line with the Tao, the essence of Taoism.
He licked his lips, a grave expression on his face as he turned to Green Thunder.
Green Thunder squinted slightly and asked softly, “Can’t speak again?”
Previously, when Su He left the Evil-suppressing Taoist Palace, he tried to talk about what happened inside and felt the force of a “contract” descend upon him, rendering him speechless.
But this time, Green Thunder did not sense the power of any contract.
Su He nodded slightly, licked his lips, and tried again, but his mind remained a blank.
The Tao Te Ching was clearly there, yet he couldn’t recall it.
Taking a deep breath, Su He closed his eyes, no longer attempting to voice it, instead silently reciting the Tao Te Ching in his heart.
The first three passages of the Tao Te Ching imprinted themselves flawlessly in his mind.
Green Thunder chuckled.
Su He must have come upon some secret, unable to speak it out twice in a row.
What thing is out there restricting my Dragon Turtle clansman!
Once the Dragon Turtle Tribe had completed their collective seclusion, he would summon the tribesmen to forcefully break into the Evil-suppressing Taoist Palace.
He wanted to see for himself what dared to mystify!
Numerous strong beings exist in All Heavens and Myriad Realms, and not a few surpass Green Thunder, but none dared to deceive in front of the Wasteland Ancestor and Thai Zu!
Even if Ancient Powers were resurrected, they would have no choice but to bow their heads in submission before Thai Zu!
Green Thunder smirked inwardly when suddenly, a humming sound came from Su He’s body.
It was like the drum at dusk, the bell at dawn—not a sound in reality, but an existence of the Tao.
Unheard, yet it existed clearly!
The greatest sound is scarcely heard, the greatest form has no shape.
Straightaway, an inexplicable Tao Rhythm emerged from Su He.
Not through words, not through objects, merely a simple Taoist essence, formless and indescribable, without extravagant wonders or illusions.
Yet, Green Thunder felt as if he had glimpsed the foundation of the world.
Green Thunder’s breathing became rapid, gasping audibly before quickly suppressing his own voice, even the sound of his heartbeat and blood flow, hushing all to focus intently on Su He.
Anxious not to miss a trace.
This Tao Rhythm was too primal; carelessness would mean missing it entirely.
A Spirit Snake coiled on his back moved about, like water, like electricity, indistinguishable between slow and fast.
As Su He neared the halfway point of his silent recitation of the Tao Scriptures, silent flashes of thunder already sparked around Green Thunder.
In that moment, countless realizations arose, and the Turtle-snake True Method born within the egg rapidly harmonized and perfected.
Green Thunder’s aura climbed higher and higher, explosive sounds coming from within him, like thunder, like a waterfall.
His mountainous body visibly shrank.
As Su He finished the silent recitation of the Tao Te Ching’s three thousand words, he slowly opened his eyes, only to be shocked to see that Green Thunder’s body had shrunk by two sizes.
This shock was not trivial; the silent recitation of the Tao Te Ching might have had some terrifying effect on Green Thunder.
He was about to voice his concern when suddenly Green Thunder’s eyes snapped open, two streaks of lightning flashing in them.
He tilted his head back and let out a long roar of laughter.
His laughter grew louder, eventually surpassing the ability of laughter to express his joy.
Looking down at Su He, he butted his head, sending Su He flying upward like a ball, catching him as he fell, and tossing him up again only to catch him once more.
This happened thrice, and on the third toss, the waters below Su He churned, leaving him suspended in mid-air without descending.
Green Thunder butted his head, realizing Su He hadn’t come down, and felt a momentary loss.
But that feeling vanished in a flash, replaced by joy.
“A treasure!” he looked at Su He, his eyes shining.
“Was that the Tao Scripture you were silently reciting just now?”
Su He nodded.
Green Thunder became even more overjoyed, his laughter lasting for a good while before he spoke again, “A treasure!
It articulated the profound truths of heaven and earth, and illuminated the Taoist virtues of all things!”
After speaking, he immediately looked at Su He seriously, “Remember, in the presence of outsiders, never silently recite this scripture.
Do it only near us, or within Long Moon Mansion, or in your own small world, or in an uninhabited place within Chaos!”
