Don’t Mess with that Turtle
Chapter 311 - 311 40 Artifact Spirit_2

311: Chapter 40 Artifact Spirit_2 311: Chapter 40 Artifact Spirit_2 Prince Duko surveyed everything but was unable to stop what was happening.

He turned to look at the middle-aged man bound before him, his sword-like eyebrows inverting fiercely as he kicked the man, sending him rolling across the ground like a gourd.

“You imbecile!

I told you to watch over Feng Yi Ju, yet you were completely transformed by someone else, even letting the Dust Free Cover be exposed.

I should drag you back and throw you at the feet of Madam Second, and see what she has to say!

A perfectly good situation, nearly ruined by your stupidity!”

That radiance was from the Soaring Snake’s death, activating the measures left on its body by Feng Yi Ju, compelling this idiot to use the Dust Free Cover.

He rebuked the middle-aged man, just as the atmosphere of Strange Land clung to the gate of Long Moon Mansion, squirming like maggots to infiltrate within.

The lakes and mountains inside Long Moon Mansion stirred and trembled, a force converged, transforming into a black dog that leaped forth.

The black dog lunged to bite at the aura from Strange Land, but Prince Duko smacked it away with a single palm, casting several Talisman Runes onto the body of the dog and laughing loudly, “Artifact Spirit!

To think a cave dwelling still has an Artifact Spirit inside.

If you hadn’t shown yourself, Strange Land might not have been able to harm you for a while, but now that you have, you’ve conveniently become my prey.”

He laughed and attacked the black dog, which barked and charged at him in retaliation.

The two, man and dog, fought in front of the gate from midnight till dawn.

The Scholar stood by, bowing respectfully, with a posture even more proper than a servant’s.

Elder Qiao had lost the Dust Free Cover but had not yet awakened.

He lay soaked by the melting snow, while the Scholar acted as if he were invisible.

The black dog grew more and more vigorous as the battle went on; the entire cave dwelling provided it with power, as if it would never exhaust its strength.

Prince Duko, however, was extremely patient until a myriad of Tribulation Clouds gathered in the northern sky and the feedback from the shattering of the Dust Free Cover reached him.

Prince Duko’s face changed instantaneously, and he turned to leave, but the clouds dissipated so quickly it was as if they’d never appeared.

Prince Duko concealed himself and waited for a long while but saw no further abnormalities.

When he reemerged, he avoided entangling with the black dog, pulling out a glove from within his robe.

He gritted his teeth as he put it on, his complexion instantly turning deathly pale.

He immediately reached out to grab the black dog, and with one fierce tear, he ripped out a bundle of essence, which he slammed back into the aura of Strange Land.

The black dog aged in an instant and fled with its tail between its legs.

The Butler, however, revealed his form, laughing merrily as he entered Long Moon Mansion, deeply connected with its essence.

He then came out to bow to Prince Duko, “Master, it’s time to return home!”

The Scholar bowed even lower, “Congratulations, Prince Duko, on the acquisition of a new cave dwelling.”

Prince Duko had just removed his glove and was still gasping for breath.

He waved his hand, indicating he didn’t wish to speak more.

The Scholar bowed deeply, “Prince, just now…

did the Dragon Turtle break free?”

Prince Duko’s expression turned sour, “A Divine God Beast faces tribulation, Dragon Turtle breaks free!”

The Scholar’s face changed color instantaneously, shifting like a dye shop from red to black and then to ashen.

His lips quivered for a moment before he said, “Even the Sealed Emperor’s Palace can’t subdue the Dragon Turtle?”

“Subdue?” Prince Duko turned back, “Do you know what a Dragon Turtle is?

Its status is not even slightly inferior to that of our dynasty’s Crown Prince!

And you actually want to subdue it?”

The Scholar’s complexion worsened.

The esteemed status of the Dragon Turtle continuously shattered his understanding, far exceeding his imagination.

They could have had the chance to coexist with the Dragon Turtle harmoniously, but it now all seemed to be ruined by his hands.

Prince Duko flashed a grin, a glint of cunning in his eyes, “Subduing the Dragon Turtle is impossible, but picking a fight to collect some of its blood and flesh, that just might be possible…”

Mumbling to himself, he was about to enter the mansion when the northern sky suddenly filled with surging Tribulation Clouds, covering the entire world.

Shortly after, within a quarter-hour, his kin, wrapped in Iron Chains, appeared bewildered before breaking into tears and wailing, “Who has slain my friend!

My friend possessed an Undead body, who could have killed them!”

Before his cries had even faded, a phoenix’s cry echoed from the north.

Prince Duko’s face turned white with terror.

With a single palm strike, he knocked the middle-aged man unconscious and briskly left without looking back.

The Scholar, not understanding the situation, quickly followed suit.

Left behind under the gatehouse was the bowing and scraping Butler, still welcoming the master’s return, “Master, it’s time to return home…”

The vision unfolded up to this point, and Su He slowly returned to his senses, looking toward the old dog.

His eyes must have been poor, for this was actually an Artifact Spirit!

There was an Artifact Spirit in a cave dwelling?

Su He turned to Su Huanian, “Senior Sister, have you ever seen an Artifact Spirit?”

Su Huanian didn’t reply but instead drew her Immortal Sword, and with a gentle flick, a shadowy figure manifested atop the sword—a spunky little girl with her hands on her hips, looking robustly at Su He, “Hey!

Big Dragon Turtle, you called?”

:-O

The sword actually had an Artifact Spirit!

Su He knew that this Immortal Sword wasn’t refined by Su Huanian; it was a true treasure of the immortals.

Although he had carried it for months, he never knew the sword actually had an Artifact Spirit!

But upon reflection, it made sense.

Su Huanian could attach her consciousness to the sword and create an Avatar.

This was not something ordinary weapons or ordinary methods could achieve—this was the marvelous use of an Artifact Spirit!

“Senior Sister, this sword…” Su He raised his eyebrows, puzzled.

From his previous life?

Why did the Avatar of the sword’s Artifact Spirit look like Ya Ya from his previous life?

Su Huanian flicked the sword back into its sheath, causing the Little Artifact Spirit to withdraw into the blade.

“Not counting as a sword worn by an Immortal Sovereign, this was created casually, but the Artifact Spirit is new, only having been formed for thirty years.

What do you want with an Artifact Spirit?”

Su He gestured towards the old dog, “This guy is actually the Artifact Spirit of Long Moon Mansion, can you believe it, Senior Sister?”

Su Huanian glanced at the old dog, who sat regally, as if on guard.

Su Huanian shook her head; it was hard to believe, as it lost half of its presence, completely unrecognizable as an Artifact Spirit.

“I can’t tell either.

I suspect this fellow used a phantom illusion to deceive me.

Maybe we should dissect it!”
