Don’t Mess with that Turtle -
Chapter 307 - 307 37 Do You Want the Stars or the Moon_2
307: Chapter 37 Do You Want the Stars or the Moon?_2 307: Chapter 37 Do You Want the Stars or the Moon?_2 Su He hurried to intervene, “Predecessor of War Cultivation, please hold, you crossed worlds to assist me and I have yet to express my gratitude.
How can I allow you to leave in such a hurry?”
This was not the proper courtesy!
War Cultivation burst into loud laughter, “What gratitude do I need?
Being able to fight with Green Thunder is the best thanks!”
For a being following the path of Martial Divine God, what could be more interesting than fighting?
Qián Qiánzi, tilting her head thoughtfully, mused, “To think that just two moves, and being pinned to the ground and beaten, also counts as a fight?”
War Cultivation: “…”
He lifted his head to gaze at the sky, completely disregarding Qián Qiánzi’s comment, “Fairy Ji is not there, I shall not bother Yunmeng Ze any longer, I am off!”
With one slash, he split the space open and leaped in, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
This manner of departure, slashing open space to traverse the universe, was very stylish indeed.
Canchen Taoist stroked his beard and exchanged a glance with True Person Nanming, both showing peculiar looks in their eyes.
Could it be that Fellow War Cultivation wanted to show off in front of his future disciple’s parents?
Was that why his departure was so childish?
Long-distance space-breaking travel across worlds is the exclusive domain of adult Four Spirits Divine God Beasts; his forced departure must have put a huge burden on space—he’s likely in for a lot of trouble.
It wouldn’t do if ten years later, Ya Ya would meet a sickly teacher, would it?
Su He, observing the two with odd expressions, resumed his Dragon Turtle True Form and said, “You two elders wouldn’t also have affairs to attend to and must leave, would you?”
Canchen Taoist chuckled, “Coincidentally!
Before you woke up, we had already arranged with Manager Dai to visit the Book Pavilion.
It’s rare for Manager Dai to be so generous, offering us both a thirty percent discount; we must make large purchases.
As for the thanks—if it weren’t for you, Young Friend Su He, not charging me admission for discussing the Dao with elders like Phoenix Si and Green Thunder for two months, I would already be grateful to heaven and earth!”
Since all of them had crossed borders to help their own children, Phoenix Si and Green Thunder did not hold back any of their knowledge; rather than discussing the Dao, it was more of mentoring.
The experience of tens of thousands of years, simply by recounting the detours they took, had been immensely beneficial.
That’s the advantage of living long: wide knowledge and broad vision.
Problems that have perplexed for centuries do not pose an issue at all for these two Divine God Beasts—even if they haven’t faced the issue themselves, their subordinates surely have encountered them before.
Qián Qiánzi giggled, “I was originally going to Tian Xing Palace for some errands, had the discussion not been so attractive, I would have left long ago!”
“Let’s go, let’s go!” Everyone began to depart.
“If Young Friend Su He finds it hard to accept, perhaps you could update the game in Qianjiang, or even better, cancel the betting.
If this continues, my silly dog will even start betting his food bowl!” True Person Nanming said, looking at the toad next to Su He.
The toad had just leapt out from Qianjiang, busily calculating its recent winnings.
The toad didn’t gamble; it only acted as the banker.
Despite only taking a two percent commission, it won a fortune.
Su He realized in a flash what was going on—no wonder he had been receiving a constant Law Feedback from Qianjiang over the last two months.
It turned out the toad had been running the gaming house all this time.
Fortunate to have such a wise toad!
“Young Friend, you are welcome to visit Xuan Tian Gate at your leisure if you find some free time,” said the Xuan Tian Sect Leader, cupping his hands.
Accompanied by a group, he tore through the air and left.
Only after flying ten thousand li did Dai Rui stretch out a hand, placing it in front of the Sect Leader.
The Xuan Tian Sect Leader was clueless.
Dai Rui shook his head and sighed, “Sect Leader Brother, the Sect rules state that whatever disciples acquire outside is solely theirs to keep, but Elders, Chapter Heads, and the Sect Leader must contribute a portion back to the Sect.”
The Xuan Tian Sect Leader’s mouth dropped open in shock, and after pausing for a long moment, he reluctantly placed two Spirit Fruits in Dai Rui’s hand.
Canchen Taoist and True Person Nanming were flabbergasted, feeling that they had learnt something new.
These fruits were clearly brought out by Elder Phoenix Si as refreshments during the discussion—had he actually taken a few for himself?
The Sect Master of Xuan Tian Gate doing such a thing?
No wonder Manager Dai confiscated them as a punishment, it was truly an embarrassment to Xuan Tian!
Thinking this, they saw Dai Rui frowning with disdain as she looked at the Sect Leader True Person, “Is this all you have?”
Such a rare opportunity, and he didn’t help himself to a few more!
Canchen Taoist: “…”
True Person Nanming: “…”
It turned out the customs of the Xuan Tian Gate were indeed peculiar.
Wouldn’t they be robbed of all their possessions on this trip?
Being independent cultivators, they were used to carrying their treasures with them.
Would it still be possible now to return and find Young Friend Su He in time?
…
Su He watched as Liu Ru turned into a ray of white light and headed west, and one by one, the elders who came to help left.
Only he and Su Huanian remained in the place of discussion.
The once lively site had suddenly become vacant.
In the distance, snowflakes drifted down heavily, yet within these hundred li, it felt like early summer with lush greenery and blossoms like brocade.
Discussion of the Dao from both Divine God Beasts and many Greater Powers.
If a Formation were to be set right now to retain the Tao Rhythm, this place would surely flourish.
In the future, the creatures that breed here over the next hundred years would no longer have the chance to become Divine God Beasts, but the likelihood of becoming top Exotic Beasts would surely increase by several times, even dozens of times.
Su He slowly came back to his senses and looked over to Su Huanian, who was still recovering from serious injuries but already looked much better.
“Senior Sister, I think I need to establish my own Daoist site!” Su He said earnestly.
Not only a Daoist site but also time to accumulate some family wealth.
During this period of Dao discussion, Uncle Lei generously supplied various spirit fruits, expressing his thanks to the seniors on his behalf.
But one can’t always rely on one’s elders every time.
The longer one cultivates, the more fellow Daoists one meets.
It would be beneath one’s status not to have a place to welcome these Daoists or to offer them immortal delicacies.
A small world cannot be considered a Daoist site; it is merely a hidden dwelling for Su He.
That place, connected to the White Spirit Great Tomb, is too busy with people coming and going to be suitable.
Su Huanian tied up her hair and chuckled lightly, “Where do you plan to establish your Daoist site?
East Cloud Mountain?”
Su He shook his head.
East Cloud Mountain was in a good location.
Senior Qing Cang was to the east at Xuan Tian Gate, and Princess Snow Ji Feixue was to the west at Yunmeng Ze, ensuring safety.
However, the place was too small.
And Su He wanted the sea!
“Where would Senior Sister like to live?” Considering Su Huanian’s nature, it was unlikely she would return to Qingyuan Mountain.
When establishing the Daoist site…
could he perhaps…
take her with him?
Su Huanian was taken aback, her heart instantly in turmoil, unsure how to reply when, under a distant tree, a giant red cocoon about ten feet tall emitted a tearing sound.
The camel dozing under the cocoon immediately leaped up, bellowing noisily.
Su He glanced over, recognizing the familiar aura emanating from the cocoon.
“Green Snake?”
Su Huanian nodded.
“It must have formed after I fell asleep.
When I awoke, the cocoon was hanging there.”
This signified the completion of evolution; it was time to break out of the cocoon.
The giant cocoon writhed, but after a while, Green Snake did not emerge, sinking back into silence instead.
Difficulty breaking out of the cocoon: “Should we help her?”
Su Huanian shook her head, “Her aura is stable.”
Breaking from a cocoon or hatching from an egg is a deeply private matter; it would be best for Green Snake to do it herself, to avoid ending up like a butterfly that, without the struggle to break free, can no longer take flight.
A man and a turtle stood silently by.
After a while, an angry shout came from inside the cocoon.
A sword light pierced through, cutting a gap, and two delicate hands reached out, revealing arms as flawless as jade, tearing their way out.
Su Huanian immediately stepped in front of Su He, shielding his view.
“Green Snake is transforming into a human; it involves a woman’s modesty, do not watch!”
Su He turned away, only to hear Su Huanian’s surprised exclamation.
“What happened?” Su He asked urgently.
“It’s nothing.”
As Su Huanian spoke, she took out a piece of clothing and gently flicked it, sending it flying towards the giant cocoon.
Moments later, the cocoon split wide open, and a figure swam out.
Rustling sounds indicated she was sorting herself out.
Su He turned back around and was left agape.
It looked like a Nuwa… no, with wings!
The green snake tail remained, but the upper body had transformed into human form, with the two joining at a rather delicate area.
Her figure was as lithe and graceful as a willowy young girl.
She wore the clothes provided by Su Huanian, which had the ability to transform to fit the wearer.
It covered only the upper half of her body, while her snake tail fanned out behind her.
A pair of pure white wings unfolded and with a light flap, she meandered towards them.
“Thank you for your protection, Senior Sister!” Green Snake bowed gracefully to Su Huanian before turning to Su He, “Thank you, too!”
A turtle and a snake met when they were insignificant, but there was no need for excessive formality.
Su He circled around her curiously, full of wonder.
He conjured a water hand, wanting to poke her waist, but thought better of it and refrained.
“What race do you belong to now?
Do you have any special abilities?” Su He asked curiously.
With a new role and a new skin, aside from being beautiful, what men cared about were skills.
Green Snake pondered, then reached out to grasp something from Su He, and then from Su Huanian, as though catching something invisible.
She tied them together seamlessly.
In the depths of his being, Su He felt he had gained something.
He looked at Green Snake, puzzled.
Green Snake appeared slightly confused as well, “Fate?
It seems I can see other people’s fate, and I might be able to matchmake or tie the red thread!”
Su He: “…”
This wasn’t a divine skill; it was practically a divine duty!
Su He was hearty, “Girl, say it!
What do you want?
For the stars or the moon?”
