Don’t Mess with that Turtle
Chapter 186 - 186 044 Meeting_1

186: Chapter 044: Meeting_1 186: Chapter 044: Meeting_1 Water has no shape, yet it possesses distinct phases.

Ice, snow, frost, clouds… all are phases of water.

In the realm of cultivation, attributes often transcend physical form.

For instance, ice attributes and water attributes, in numerous cultivation techniques and Divine Skills, are two entirely different entities.

Su He could manipulate water with ease, but ice proved to be far more challenging.

The Water Phase was an auxiliary Divine Skill, yet its applications were significant, allowing the successor to freely control the water phase.

Su He was quite fond of it.

As the domain unfolded and fused completely with the Inner World, it transformed instantaneously into a vast sea, with lightning flashing overhead amidst a torrential downpour and rolling waves beneath.

Su He didn’t understand why he had formed such a domain, a sea engulfed by a storm.

It was likely to manifest from the psyche of those repressed and seeking an outlet.

…Hmm, could it be that he had been too stifled this past year?

This nascent Inner World was still in its embryonic stage; lacking sun, moon, and stars, not even a live volcano had formed, let alone life.

The domain infused and melded with the Inner World, soaked in his own Tao Rhythm.

Before long, it would be wholly attuned to Su.

This was not an urgent matter.

This was but a testing ground.

All shortcomings had to be addressed by Su He step by step, enriching the Inner World while comprehending the essence of existence.

Once he had had his fill of play and thoroughly understood it, he could begin to develop the Inner World within the Boundary Pearl.

As the domain permeated the Inner World, Su He’s consciousness descended into the Intention Orifice, inching towards the Tao Palace.

The Toad settled on the Turtle Shell and followed suit.

Beyond the Tao Palace lay the Vast Sea and the Sky Pillar Dragon Turtle.

Upon entry, both turtle and frog were equally stunned.

A massive Stele stood in the midst of the sea, emanating a nascent Law within the heritage grounds.

One could attain only a single heritage at a time.

This rule became clear upon seeing the colossal Stele; it was a Law that needed no verbal explanation.

The Turtle and Toad exchanged glances.

“Are our ancestors targeting me?” asked Su He, sensing a clear new Law in place!

When White Spirit claimed over seventy heritages, no such rule existed.

It appeared only after he laid claim to one?

A clear case of favoritism…

“Nonsense!

They’re clearly doting on you!” The Toad gave him a disdainful glance, warning him not to be oblivious to the blessings around.

This rule was merely a caution, with no penalties attached.

Clearly, it was a loophole created by the Senior Dragon Turtle specifically for Su He’s Golden Finger.

This time, the Heritage Dragon Turtle didn’t bow its head down as it had previously out of consideration for the Little Dragon Turtle.

If one wished to acquire further heritage, climbing up on one’s own was necessary.

Su He stepped onto the waves, lifting himself on the surging water straight up to the Nine Heavens.

Nestled among the clouds and on a level gaze with the Heritage Dragon Turtle, the starry sky veiled him once more, revealing several Little Turtles lying on the Dragon Turtle’s back — “little” being relative to the Heritage Dragon Turtle, for the largest of them was the size of a mountain.

There were seventeen in total.

Su He recognized seven Elders present, including the deceased White Spirit — and even Su He himself was among that group of Giant Turtles, a tiny speck, somewhat endearing in contrast.

The Dragon Turtles varied in size, the largest among them he did not recognize, save for one: Tai Laozu.

The second tier astonishingly included White Spirit and the Wasteland Ancestor, who belonged to a trio of Dragon Turtles, Red Grandfather not among them; he was in the third tier, along with all the other Dragon Turtles — except for Su He, pitifully trailing behind as the smallest of the lot.

This was the complete lineage of the Dragon Turtle Tribe from its inception to the present day, all the Dragon Turtles’ heritage Tao Shadows remained here.

The moment he entered for the first time, he knew Dragon Turtles could leave their Divine Skills as heritage within this place, but precisely how, Su He did not know.

Upon seeing these Dragon Turtles, he instantly understood.

With a stroke of his claws, he rode the wave and landed on the back of the Heritage Dragon Turtle, overlapping with his own Tao Shadow, as all his abilities flashed through his mind.

Only Bright Mirror and Thunderbird were suitable to remain here.

A sense of being copied and pasted arose; the Bright Mirror transformed into a radiant star and fell into the eyes of the Heritage Dragon Turtle, which then let out a long chant.

His Bloodline surged, and a new Intention emerged in Su He’s mind, a mechanical notification: A New Divine God Skill has merged into the tribal bloodline.

Within the Mountain and Sea Mystery Realm, several consciousnesses that had just entered slumber abruptly awoke, each opening their mouths to chant towards the sky.

The Dragon Turtle’s roar echoed throughout the entire Profound Realm.

“Hahaha!

The little fellow has indeed integrated its Bright Mirror into the heritage.” This was the sentiment contained in Gu Luo’s roaring voice.

It had watched Su He for a full year, witnessing the emergence of Bright Mirror firsthand, so how could it not understand?

The ease with which Su He now wielded Bright Mirror was inseparable from the Dragon Turtles’ research.

This Divine Skill was no longer a secret within the Dragon Turtle Clan.

Every Turtle studied it extensively.

Otherwise, the Magic Skills formulated by the Qingyuan Gate Elders, even if refined into a Divine Skill by the heavens and the earth, would be prohibitively costly to use.

As Su He beseeched the heavens and earth to master the Bright Mirror Divine Power, the deeper others delved into its study, the higher the level of Su He’s Bright Mirror.

The richer its functions, the less it would consume.

A long chant from Red Grandfather was heard: “Indeed, after integrating our comprehensions, Bright Mirror has the potential to become an Innate Divine God Skill.”

Innate Divine God Skills were not heritages.

Like Fu Mountain, Divine God Might, and A Thousand Weigh, they naturally awakened with a certain degree of bloodline enhancement.

It was instinctive.

No amount of Suppressing within the Tao Palace could hold back the instincts.

Only extensions upon the instincts are considered heritage Divine Skills.

For example, Mountain Divine God and Soul Offering.

To make an analogy, if walking and grasping are the instincts that normal people develop over time as natural Divine God Skills, then dancing is an extension, a heritage.

Bright Mirror, neither offensive nor defensive, held tremendous potential, surpassing all other Innate Divine God Skills in aiding the evolution of Dragon Turtles.

With Bright Mirror, the birth rate of Dragon Turtles could increase by at least twenty percent.

Some Dragon Turtles had already studied Bright Mirror, treating it like a Magic Skill to consolidate into a Divine God Power Seed, but had not integrated it into the heritage.

Adding a Divine Skill to the tribe would earn the favor of the Dragon Turtle Clan’s Luck.
