Don’t Mess with that Turtle
Chapter 101 - 101 100 Mountain Thief_1

101: Chapter 100 Mountain Thief_1 101: Chapter 100 Mountain Thief_1 “You!” Mu Tung’s complexion changed again, as dark as a liver, his face flushed red, and, gritting his teeth, he hissed through clenched teeth, “Chi Yang is your man, right?

You beat me with just a Formation flag, but Chi Yang is a dead man walking with Brother Fire Velvet hunting him down, I’d like to see how you’ll save him!

Go on, take your Formation flag and try to kill Brother Fire Velvet then!”

Feng Yi Ju could not afford to do that, the Qingyuan Formation flag still needed to suppress his Cave World.

As soon as the Qingyuan Formation flag left, he had plenty of ways to take back the Cave World, and even though he might not be able to kill Feng Yi Ju, he could retreat at any time!

Feng Yi Ju looked at him with a smile, “Who told you there is only one Qingyuan Formation flag?”

Formation flags are meant to set up formations, how could there be just one flag for a formation?

Mu Tung’s sardonic smile froze on his face.

In the southwest of Qingyuan Gate, three hundred thousand li away, outside Fengming Mansion in the deep mountains and old forests, a piece of space twisted and writhed, as if the air was being scorched by flames.

This was the act of a Stepping Sky Realm Greater Power unfolding his Cave World.

Within the Cave World, twenty-four Qingyuan Array Flags fluttered, creating a breeze.

The Qingyuan Array Flags totaled forty-nine, with two main flags divided into Sun and Moon, Yin and Yang.

The Sun Flag represented Yang, controlling twenty-four Yin flags, and the Moon Flag represented Yin, leading twenty-three Yang flags.

This place was led by the Moon Flag.

Twenty-four flags suppressed the four directions, Fire Velvet lay in the Cave World, watching a man in white clothes slowly peel away his world.

“You’re not Chi Yang, you’re Feng Yi Ju!”

A cultivator in his own Cave World was like a true Divine God, with divine powers to discern the true from the false, especially since Fire Velvet’s Cave World wasn’t as fragile as Mu Tung’s, which hadn’t progressed even once.

It took half a set of Formation flags to completely suppress it.

Chi Yang, without pausing his movements, cracked a smile, “Correct, it’s me!”

Fire Velvet did not turn ashen like Mu Tung; Feng Yi Ju dared not kill him, for if he did, Xuan Tian Sect’s Life Lamp would immediately signal it and mark the killer.

Since he was not going to die, what was there to fear?

At worst, his Tao Cultivation would be entirely wasted, and he’d have to start over.

“Where is the real Chi Yang?”

Feng Yi Ju shook his head, “Naturally, he is where he belongs.”

In Xiye Country, Vast Sea Oasis.

The oasis wasn’t large, yet it had risen to prominence in the past two years, even Xiye Country steered clear of it as if it were a tiger or wolf.

The reason being, a band of Mountain Thieves had taken over the oasis.

Their leader was also a Cultivator of some Tao Cultivation.

This news, confirmed by the Court of Xiye Country, caused everyone to view the oasis with reverence, while also shattering their illusions about pursuing immortality and enlightenment.

So it turned out that even Immortals could become Mountain Thieves—what were Mountain Thieves?

Like desert bandits?

However, the chief’s wife of the bandits was truly beautiful, just like a Fairy.

The Mountain King sat under a withered tree, strumming a tune on his dombyra, the music tinged with sorrow.

Above him on the tree, two dried corpses hung, while on its bark, characters were carved: Do not disturb.

One set of markings was ugly and rough while the other delicate and lovely.

These two corpses had been hanging for twenty years, a couple of vastly different status, who died for love.

The inscriptions served as a testament to their embracing form, wishing for nothing but to endure wind and sun, time immemorial, with their original intentions unchanged.

A woman like a fairy approached, her movement graceful and sinuous.

The Mountain King looked up at her and chuckled softly.

The Fairy gently caressed her hair, and with parting vermilion lips asked, “Why have you been so restless these past few days, what happened?”

The Mountain King opened his mouth, at a loss for words.

“Do not hide it from me,” the Fairy said in a soft tone.

Mountain King fell silent for a while, “Do you remember me saying that I had a purpose when I first approached you?”

The Fairy sat beside him with her legs to the side, speaking softly, “I know.”

As the unique princess of Xuan Tian Gate, one of the Ten Major Immortal Doors in the Mystery Huang World, anyone who approached her had their own motives, even her father had reasons to see her; otherwise, she wouldn’t see her father for decades or even a hundred years.

Those with ulterior motives were myriad.

But the only one who could face her with honesty was the man before her.

She was Yinchan, the one and only princess of Xuan Tian Gate.

Mountain King held her hand, looking somewhat dejected, “My name isn’t Andang, my real name is Chi Yang, the direct disciple of the old Sect Leader of Qingyuan Gate.”

Yinchan cocked her head in thought, “Chi Yang of No-Phase Sword Sect?”

Chi Yang gave a bitter smile and shook his head, “I don’t even know which direction the gate of No-Phase Sword Sect faces, you know who I am, I can’t even manage a small stronghold, how could I possibly establish a Sect?”

Yinchan’s eyes sparkled with curiosity, “Then who is Chi Yang of the No-Phase Sword Sect?”

“It should be Brother Feng, right?

Only he is capable of building such a Sect in a short time.”

Yinchan blinked, “When you first approached me, was it to protect Qingyuan Gate?

Now Feng Yi Ju is looking for you?”

Having been away from Xuan Tian Gate for thirty years, she was not up to date with the current affairs of the cultivation world—thirty years was nothing more than the duration of one cultivation retreat, and nothing significant should have happened.

Thirty years ago, Qingyuan Gate already showed signs of decline, but from what her husband said today, Feng Yi Ju must be someone significant; the decline was probably a ruse to deceive Xuan Tian Gate, but what crisis could there be?

Chi Yang thought for a while and then spoke truthfully, “Brother Feng is about to unify East Cloud, isn’t he?

He wishes for your help to stall Xuan Tian Gate, to give him some breathing space.”

Yinchan’s eyes widened.

That Master Feng was excessively fanciful—Xuan Tian Gate’s Sect Leader, when placed in a mid-level world, was powerful enough to rule over an entire domain.

How could a daughter influence such a person?

If Qingyuan Gate wanted to break away from East Cloud Mountain and seek territory in Xuan Tian Immortal Domain, or even ask for money, resources, or cultivation techniques, her status as the Sect Leader’s daughter would be of value.

Her father would probably smile, even playfully tweak her nose, indulgently granting her request doubly.

But claiming East Cloud by stealth was against Xuan Tian Gate’s interests, and that was absolutely impossible—not even if she roped in all her brothers to plead the case.

Especially after she had eloped with a mountain thief.

On the sand dunes, two camels trotted out, snorting provocatively in their direction.

Yinchan quietly asked the man beside her, “Do you want to help him?”

Chi Yang looked at the camels on the sand dunes, which challenged him with four Profound Moon seals blinking between their eyes.

Chi Yang laughed softly, twining a strand of Yinchan’s hair around his finger, “I want to tame that camel and roam the ends of the earth with you.”

Yinchan chuckled softly.

Chi Yang gazed into her eyes, utterly serious, “Rather than indulging in the affairs of the cultivation world, I would rather go to the Mortal Realm to be a pancake seller for a century, growing old with you.”

He stood up and looked towards Xiye Country, “Or be a scholar for a century, achieving rank and fortune to make you a titled lady of the court, surrounded by children and grandchildren, doting on my sons and grandchildren.”

“To be a rogue hero for a century, crossing the world with a sword, leaving you each day with a lone lamp worrying about me, afraid I’ll die outside due to vendettas.

Or be a monk for a century, letting you down and hurting you for a lifetime.”

Yinchan burst into laughter, “So, you want to be a titled official’s wife, huh?

Then do you plan to take a few concubines?”

Chi Yang’s eyes widened, his face filled with excited surprise, “Can I, really?”

“Pah!” Yinchan kicked him and ran off.

After running about thirty feet without hearing any sound from behind, she looked back to see Chi Yang staring at her figure, grinning like a fool.

“Idiot!”
