After the air raid alarm finally ceased, word came from Mr. Wellington.

"Grandpa has agreed to meet with me, but only me alone."

Aidan Lucas embraced Lily, kissing her little face tenderly, reluctant to part with her.

Without his wife to hold at night, he couldn’t bear to let go of his woman for even a second during the day.

Unfortunately, Mr. Wellington had always been an elder who watched him grow up.

Especially after Grandpa passed away, if it hadn’t been for Mr. Wellington protecting him in the background upon Grandpa’s entrustment, he wouldn’t have been able to easily ascend to the position of head of the family.

Mr. Wellington was almost like another grandfather to Aidan Lucas, even his second personality held enormous respect for him.

"Grandpa has been good to our Lucas family, and I shouldn’t go against his wishes to bring you directly. But don’t worry, Honey, I’ll suss out Grandpa’s views for you and find another opportunity to bring up Skye Brown’s matter."

Aidan Lucas’s well-defined fingers gently brushed over Lily’s slightly swollen lips, finding it hard to let go.

Under his deep and seductive gaze, Lily felt her bones turn soft.

She obediently allowed him to hold her, feeling somewhat relieved. Thankfully, she had asked David Redington to take the three kids away beforehand.

"You can bring up Skye’s matter depending on the situation, Grandpa. If it’s not convenient, we can talk about it next time. But Dylan Wellington, if you see him, you must ask him what he really means for me."

"Is he really just going to watch Skye’s child get taken away and remain indifferent, or does Dylan Wellington want the child, not Skye?!"

Lily now deeply regretted not having hidden Skye away earlier and completely blocking all news about her.

She had originally thought that Dylan Wellington went after Skye to Europe because he loved her.

But now, Lily couldn’t help but suspect Dylan Wellington’s motives with the worst possible assumptions.

What he wanted might never have been Skye, but the child in Skye’s womb.

"Don’t worry, Ian Moore definitely isn’t that kind of person, so don’t be concerned," Aidan Lucas consoled while smoothing over his wife’s hair.

In his heart, though, he had his own suspicions.

Ian Moore was a notorious playboy.

According to Aidan Lucas’s understanding of him, wanting a child without commitment was something he wouldn’t do, but being deeply and unwaveringly in love also didn’t fit Ian Moore’s personality.

The truth could only be found out by meeting Ian Moore.

After hugging and kissing Lily repeatedly, Aidan Lucas was finally ’chased’ out of the house by an impatient Lily.

However, not long after Aidan Lucas left, Lily received a call from Larry Scott.

"She agreed to meet with me now?"

On the other end of the line, Larry Scott’s voice came through, "Yes, now. Lily, do you want your uncle to accompany you? That lady is not easy to talk to."

It was rare for his niece to ask for his help, but Mr. Wellington had almost retreated from the public eye, living a secluded life, and was difficult to meet.

To avoid disappointing Lily, Larry Scott had arranged for people to find out about Dylan Wellington’s parents.

Mr. Wellington was currently in A City, but Mrs. Wellington had arrived in B City early this morning.

Larry Scott immediately contacted Mrs. Wellington.

Mrs. Wellington was quite accommodating; as soon as she heard Commander Scott’s niece wanted to meet her, she agreed without a second thought.

"There’s no need, uncle. After the commotion Daddy created, the military must be busy lately. You attend to your duties; just give me the address, and I’ll go by myself," said Lily.

When it came to Skye, the fewer people who knew, the better.

Unable to persuade Lily, Larry Scott relented and gave the address: "It’s at the coffee shop on the first floor of Windstead Square; Mrs. Wellington is shopping there, and I’ve arranged to meet her in an hour."

"Alright, I’ll head over now, thank you, uncle."

Lily hung up the phone, asked David Redington to take care of her three babies, and had the driver take her there.
