Chapter 1373: Chapter 1370: Pinning Her Down on the Desk to Do That was His Biggest Mistake (Extra 4)

The calls to Lily were once again disconnected.

Aidan Lucas’s expression had completely darkened.

He had given Lily a few days to cool off, planning to personally seek her apology after she calmed down.

But when he finally couldn’t hold back his longing anymore and made the call,

the woman simply didn’t give him the chance to explain.

More than a dozen calls went out, each one instantly disconnected.

Aidan’s dark eyes were filled with regret; despite his cool demeanor, he dared not blame Lily even half-heartedly.

He knew he was in the wrong, so he patiently composed a text message.

Across in Europe, Aidan Lucas’s calls finally stopped.

David Redington waited two minutes, and when Aidan didn’t call again, his already displeased eyes grew even colder.

"Hmph, can’t even withstand a slight test," he put away his cell phone and let Lily out of the car.

Lily just silently followed behind David, silently apologizing to Aidan in her heart.

She knew that the one who would persistently make over a dozen calls could only be the second personality.

The one who left scars on her, the one that David found disagreeable, was the first personality.

But now, it was the second personality who had to endure David’s wrath.

Several days had already passed since she agreed to meet with the first personality.

Since the day the first personality appeared, he hadn’t sought her out.

Lily thought to herself that the second personality’s guess must have been wrong.

He said that the first personality would forgive her, would understand her.

But if the first personality truly forgave and understood her, why hadn’t he called her even once?

Instead, it was now, after several days, the second personality’s calls that kept coming incessantly.

Here, Lily made a mistake.

She still thought that Aidan’s body was like before, shared by two alternating personalities.

She didn’t know that the present Aidan was entirely controlled by the first personality, the one she had been longing for.

"Brother... our flight will be boarding soon, it’s better to just turn off the phone," Lily said, not wanting Aidan to suffer and trying to please David.

Her sister’s protection of another man made David quite jealous.

He said indifferently, "Lily, the test has just begun. If you feel sorry for him, the tests I will put you through once we return to Eastonia might be much harsher than expected."

Hearing David say this, Lily dared not persuade him further, and instead tried to placate him, "I am not feeling sorry for him, I worry about you, brother. I’m afraid you’ll get too tired..."

David let out a light chuckle and ruffled Lily’s hair, "You always know just what to say to please."

As he finished speaking, the cell phone chimed again.

David was about to hang up when the sound abruptly stopped.

"It’s a text message tone," Lily kindly reminded.

"A text message?"

David opened the message skeptically and a long text message popped up.

Lily leaned in to look but David pushed her head away with his hand.

He was tall, with lean limbs.

Pushing Lily away with one hand and holding the cell phone with the other, she couldn’t see half the screen.

But after David read the message, his refined and handsome face instantly turned as black as charcoal.

"Aidan, Lucas—how dare you!"

"Brother, what did Aidan Lucas do?" Lily finally shrugged off David and leaned in closer.

But as soon as she leaned in, David reached out and pinched her face.

"Lily, it looks like this time, I really will have to accompany you back personally, to properly meet your dear ex-husband."

"Brother, what are you talking about...?"

Before Lily could finish, David’s voice, dark and ominous, rose.

"Lily, I’m sorry... pressing you against the desk and doing that, it’s the greatest and most unforgivable mistake I’ve made. I have done something that cannot be mended, there’s no reason for me to even dream of your forgiveness. But if possible, just to make you feel better, even if you want to retaliate in the same manner a thousand times over on me, I would gladly accept it."
