Chapter 656: Chapter 615: Marriage Matters

How on earth can someone be so self-absorbed?

Cherish Turner was so annoyed that she wanted to die, but that someone continued to arrogantly hug her, ignoring her resistance, forcibly acting out an intimate scene in front of the teacher. She frowned and gave him a sideways glance, but he still ignored it completely. Instead, Teacher Jervis seemed amused and happy, laughing as he retorted, "William Griffith, Cherish was very smart when she was young. She was selected into the prep class with a grade ranking third in her year."

William Griffith skeptically responded with an "Oh," and teasingly said, "So, you were only third."

Cherish Turner looked away, not arguing with him.

"But later, she was always first in every exam, and her results were incredible." Teacher Jervis proudly defended his student and was naturally very proud. He then asked with concern, "Cherish, you must have gotten into Seacity University, right?"

Cherish Turner nodded, and Teacher Jervis happily said, "I knew you would definitely get in!" He looked at William Griffith and asked, "Did you also get into Seacity University?"

The two of them exchanged a smile, so much left unspoken.

...

Teacher Jervis enthusiastically chatted with them, but there was always an undercurrent of nostalgia at how time had flown. It wasn’t until Teacher Jervis needed to give a lesson to his students that they bid him farewell. Teacher Jervis patted William Griffith’s shoulder, and solemnly said, "Since you’re so fortunate to be together, I’m happy for you. Don’t forget to invite me to the wedding. Now, I have to go teach."

Cherish Turner smiled awkwardly, watching the teacher leave.

Once Teacher Jervis was out of sight, William Griffith suddenly leaned down close to her, whispering, "When are we inviting the teacher to our wedding?"

Cherish Turner abruptly turned, meeting his deep dark eyes, the soft gaze that could captivate her. She gently pressed her red lips, her heart pounding like a deer’s. Unsure how to answer, torn by unresolved issues, she chose to avoid the question, changing the subject, "Let me show you my old house."

Cherish Turner headed straight for the stairs, extremely happy.

So, they had known each other for so long, even longer than they had known Megan Turner.

The air was exceptionally fresh, with a vast field of rapeseed in sight.

"This is rapeseed; now you know, right?" Cherish Turner pointed to the rapeseed field by the roadside, unable to suppress a laugh. This was the first time she had heard someone say that rapeseed was a very oily vegetable.

William Griffith’s expression didn’t change, but his peripheral vision swept over the field as he silently cursed: Damn rapeseed!

Hand in hand, they walked along the mountain path, with private houses ahead. This place was far from the hustle and bustle of the city, only tranquil and serene. Most of the houses were two or three stories high. Situated behind a field, they looked secluded. The two walked side by side, and Cherish’s pace suddenly quickened, while he just quietly matched her stride.

"The house is still there! The old house hasn’t been demolished!" As they got closer, Cherish Turner grabbed his arm, excitedly shouting, "Look, look! That’s my old house!"

It was a two-story villa with a front yard. The house was very old, showing its age. Such an old house was somewhat similar to Megan Turner’s ancestral home in Yuen Long. They stood in front of the house, watching it, and a passing neighbor said, "No one lives here; they immigrated abroad."

William Griffith covertly glanced at her, only to see her serene side profile brimming with excitement, her eyes shining with anticipation. He raised the corner of his lips, as if he had made a decision.

"Let’s go."

"Where to?"

"I’m hungry."

"Would you like to go to a farmhouse for a meal? We can pick our own vegetables!"

At the farmhouse inn, they booked two rooms, one for each. After dinner, they took a walk, watched a comic show at the open-air theater, and didn’t return to the inn until almost eleven at night. Cherish Turner used her key to open the door, while William Griffith caressed her cheek, kissed her forehead, and softly said "Goodnight." He politely opened the door to the room next door, and they both entered their respective rooms to sleep.

After a restful night’s sleep, she looked at the time, and it was almost ten o’clock. Cherish Turner picked up the phone to dial his room’s number.

It rang with a "beep" for a while before someone finally picked up.

"William, are you still in bed? It’s not early anymore, and we have to leave this afternoon. William, wake up." She gently asked, and his husky voice was exceptionally sexy. With just one sentence, she was overwhelmed, "Cherish, I really want it."
