Chapter 654: Chapter 614: Fortunately, We’re Back to How We Were Initially_2

"Yes." Cherish Turner nodded obediently.

As the students signed one after another, a few mischievous boys glanced at their new junior high schoolmate, and couldn’t help teasing her. "Hey, little girl, you just got into junior high, right? What’s your name?"

"You must have excellent grades, right?"

"All right, stop teasing her, we’re seniors here."

Although Cherish knew they meant no harm, she still felt a little restrained and kept her head down, not talking.

The classroom was noisy, yet two boys sitting in the corner by the window seemed out of place. They were strikingly handsome, exuding a unique air not found among their peers. One was refined and composed, the other wickedly aloof—two contrasting styles that perfectly complemented each other, like brothers.

"Charles Smith, here you go." A female student shyly handed Charles the questionnaire, giggling.

Unsure whether to sign or not, Charles decided to sign his name in the refuse-to-buy column. Playing with a new model phone, he casually handed the form to the young man behind him. The black-haired boy was lying spread out on the table, seemingly asleep.

Ding-dong—the bell rang, sounding like a warning.

Worried about being late for class and not fulfilling the teacher’s task, Cherish became a little anxious. She asked softly, "Senior, have you all signed the questionnaire?"

"Should be done, just go and get it." The boy said.

Cherish nodded and looked towards the corner. The questionnaire was left on the table, and the black-haired boy was still snoozing. Without giving it a second thought, she slowly walked towards him. Upon reaching him, she picked up the form and was about to leave. However, she silently counted the number of students in the class and realized that one person hadn’t signed it yet. She hesitated and turned back. The questionnaire passed by him, but he was still asleep, so he must not have signed it.

Cherish hesitated but turned back again. Someone suddenly stood up, and their arm stretched out, bumping Cherish’s nose. The injured nose now hurt even more due to the impact.

"Are you okay?"

"I’m fine." She rubbed her nose, and went up to the black-haired senior, "Senior, you didn’t sign it yet."

The black-haired senior kept dozing.

"Senior?"

Finally, the black-haired senior moved, gradually lifting his head. His handsome face came into everyone’s view.

"Senior, please sign it." Cherish, eager to leave, put the questionnaire in front of him. Initially looking down, she slowly met his eyes. In that moment, the throbbing pain in her nose made her frown and squint her eyes.

She tasted a metallic sweetness in her mouth, and something trickled out. Blood dripped straight down onto someone’s textbook.

"Wow—" someone exclaimed. "You don’t have to do this, little sister! You’re bleeding from your nose just by looking at your senior?"

Embarrassed and wishing she could crawl into a hole, Cherish wiped her nose with a handkerchief, not caring that one person hadn’t signed it, and took the questionnaire with her as she left.

Click. A cellphone captured her small face, moist-eyed beneath her black-framed glasses. Amidst everyone’s laughter, she fled in a panic.

Clutching his cellphone, Charles looked at the picture on the screen and glanced at the black-haired boy. "William, it seems our visit here wasn’t in vain. Quite amusing."

William Griffith coldly glanced at the phone, only looking for a moment.

"She bled from her nose because of you, don’t you think you should go see her?"

"You have too much time on your hands." William said disdainfully before lying back down to sleep.

Cherish hurriedly covered her nose with her handkerchief, and ran out of the classroom with the questionnaire. As laughter ensued behind her, she gritted her teeth and sped up. It was all because during the weekend, she had accidentally gotten hit by a badminton racket, leaving her nose extra sensitive. The moment she bumped it just now, she could hardly stop herself from getting a nosebleed. She wiped off the blood, delivered the questionnaire to Teacher Jervis in the office, and hastily told him, "Sir, one person is still missing."

"You go to class quickly." Teacher Jervis gently urged her, taking the questionnaire.

Cherish bowed slightly to him and rushed back to the classroom.

Inside, the English teacher was already waiting. As Cherish was late, the teacher didn’t scold her, just telling her to quickly take her seat. Cherish responded with a "yes" and returned to her desk. She still held the bloodstained handkerchief, as the red had dried, she couldn’t help but feel annoyed.
