Chapter 648: Chapter 612 But I Want You_2

True to his word, William Griffith let go of her. That’s when Cherish Turner began to speak, "Old Master Tanigawa was talking about the development of Sea City in recent years. He said he always goes to the beach whenever he visited Sea City before. I told him I was born in River City right next to the beach..." she was halfway through speaking when someone launched a protest, "You were born in River City? How come I didn’t know?"

Cherish was slightly stunned, "You never asked me."

William Griffith pouted, admitting his mistake this time, "Is there anything else?"

"No more."

"Let’s go hiking this weekend."

"Aren’t you going home for the weekend?" Cherish Turner remembered his family and imagined he would spend the weekend with them.

William Griffith pondered for a moment and then said in a slow voice, "After we finish hiking over the weekend, let’s go home for dinner on Sunday evening."

"Okay." Cherish agreed.

Finally they arrived at the spot where the ball had fallen earlier. William Griffith put on a cool face and coldly said, "Just stand by and watch, don’t talk to anyone else."

"I’m a bit bored." Cherish Turner saw Old Master Tanigawa alone and felt a bit sorry for him.

William Griffith was unreasonably domineering, "Treat others the same way you treat me."

"How do I treat you?" Cherish was completely baffled.

"You don’t talk much to me, and you’re not allowed to talk a lot to others either." He said this with a childish tone, minding every detail.

"Hmm." Cherish couldn’t help but laugh, finding it amusing.

"What are you laughing at?" William Griffith narrowed his eyes. She quietly said to his ear, word for word, "I...laugh...at...you..being...a...fool."

"I like listening to you speak, a fool’s voice is very pleasant to hear."

Seeing Cherish’s fair face tinged with shyness, William Griffith stammered. Despite this, something in his heart was sprouting in sheer joy.

Her smile was too adorable, causing him to be momentarily dazed. William Griffith forcibly shifted his gaze away. He strode forward, aimed, swung, and hit the ball. These actions were done remarkably fast yet he was also astonishingly accurate. As if no longer willing to wait, he seemed to be aiming for a swift victory, quietly saying, "Coach Thompson, it’s your turn."

The two of them took turns in swinging and hitting, ball after ball.

The referee was calculating the scores. With William Griffith quickly mastering the pace, the eighteen-hole match swiftly entered the final stage.

Coach Thompson wiped the sweat off his forehead; his expression was finally not as easygoing.

In the beginning, Coach Thompson was confident about his golf skills, being a professional player and a former champion. He was invited to serve as head coach in this club, with no one among the other coaches and members ever beating him. But what was happening now? What was going on? He was actually being cornered by an amateur member?

William Griffith gazed at the hole ten meters away and suddenly swung his club, sending the ball flying towards the hole. His control of strength was just right. The ball landed in front of the hole and rolled straight in.

"Hehehe, good shot." Coach Thompson was instantly dumbfounded and laughed in a silly manner.

Cherish Turner silently followed him, not continuing to chat with Old Master Tanigawa, and he didn’t approach either. She turned her head inadvertently and saw Old Master Tanigawa standing alone at the back, watching Green, who was playing a game of golf with Tanigawa Kenichi. His gaze was so caring that it made her feel somewhat touched. He was indeed a good father.

"I’m not playing with you anymore!" Green complained, handing the club to a caddy, and turning around in a huff.

Tanigawa Kenichi looked back at her retreating figure in amusement and asked in a deep voice, "Why are you not playing anymore?"

"You only know how to give me a hard time, you never let me win." Green finally quit after repeatedly losing.

Tanigawa Kenichi shrugged, looking indifferent.

"Dad, are you bored?" Green wrapped her arms affectionately around Old Master Tanigawa and asked quietly.

Old Master Tanigawa simply raised the corners of his mouth and replied slowly, "I’m not bored at all."

"How’s the match going?" Tanigawa Kenichi approached and asked the caddy.

"Given the current score, even if Mr. Griffith doesn’t play the last round, he has already won." The caddy replied truthfully.

Green was surprised, "He’s that good?"

Tanigawa Kenichi put both hands in his pockets and looked into the distance at a few people, "They truly do not know when they are in over their heads."

"Mr. Griffith is really terrific!" Green was full of admiration and said hopefully, "It would be great if he would take me on as a student! It’s so strange that Miss Turner wouldn’t let him teach her."

"Seeing the same thing over and over again will eventually get tiresome. This is aesthetic fatigue." Tanigawa Kenichi readily quoted something a particular woman once said. The words flowed quite smoothly.
