Chapter 637: Chapter 606: I, Deeply in Love with You_2

After wandering around for a while, he finally returned to Deep Wave’s apartment.

Inside the apartment, however, were pictures of someone hanging all over. Rather than pictures, it would be more accurate to say they were posters - even more precise, magazine inserts. The posters displayed a long runway; a woman dressed in a white, heavily vintage dress seemed to flee in a panic. Unfortunately, her glass slipper was left on the carpet, and she looked back in surprise. The eyes beneath her mask sparkled like stars.

William Griffith stood at the entrance, seemingly lost in thought for a moment.

William Griffith bent down to pick up and change into his slippers, headed towards the living room’s sofa, and pulled something from his suit pocket.

It was a silver chain, with a ring hanging on it.

He held the ring, occasionally touching it lightly.

"The Ice Queen asked him why, yet again," he said.

"Gai thought for a moment and finally said because I love you, so deeply. So I want to stay by your side, witnessing your happiness."

When Cherish Turner returned to Cherry Blossom Garden’s apartment, she saw Liam and William sitting on the living room sofa.

It had been about half a month since Liam had left. Upon her return, she found an extra person in the house. At that time, this man was in the bathroom, and she thought it was Cherish Turner. However, when the glass door opened, and she saw this blonde, blue-eyed man, Liam was indeed startled and couldn’t speak. Eventually, she asked who he was. The man spoke in English, told her his name, and said he was Cherish Turner’s friend. Liam immediately called Cherish Turner.

"Hey!" William greeted Cherish Turner with a brilliant smile, completely at ease and not embarrassed.

Liam stood up, nodded politely, and walked over to Cherish Turner to enter the bedroom together. As soon as they entered, Liam closed the door and whispered softly, "Cherish, why is he living at our place?"

"Liam is a doctor; he was invited to Seaside City for medical research a few days ago. He doesn’t like staying in hotels, so I let him stay at our place," Cherish Turner explained briefly, speaking softly. "He is a friend I met in the United Kingdom; he is a good person and takes care of me."

Upon hearing Cherish Turner say this, Liam finally felt at ease, "That’s fine then; since we have guests, I’ll go buy some groceries." As she spoke, she hesitated for a moment as if she wanted to say something else. She carefully asked, "By the way, Cherish, did anyone come to look for me after I left?"

"I moved out of the Watson family’s home for a few days, and I don’t know if anyone came looking for you," Cherish replied truthfully.

Liam was shocked, "Why did you go live with the Watsons?"

"Some things happened; I’ll tell you about them later." Cherish Turner didn’t know what to say about everything that happened during the past short half-month; it was simply too tumultuous. Considering it for a moment, she spoke in a low voice. Liam didn’t ask any more questions; it wasn’t very polite to leave the foreign doctor in the living room by himself.

The two walked out of the bedroom to see the living room television turned on.

William was watching a television series, seemingly engrossed.

"I’m going to buy groceries," Liam said as she grabbed her purse and left.

Cherish Turner found it strange and looked at William suspiciously. She watched for a while before sitting on another sofa. Her gaze shifted between William and the television, and suddenly asked, "William, do you like it?"

"Not bad," William replied casually, unconcerned.

"Can you understand it?" Cherish asked in surprise again, shouldn’t William not understand Chinese? When she was in the United Kingdom, she and Cecilia Butler stayed at William’s villa for safety and cost-saving reasons. Every time they talked about women-related matters, she and Cecilia would speak in Chinese because William didn’t understand the language, so he wouldn’t know what they were saying. But now it felt as if William could actually understand Chinese. Otherwise, why would he watch so intently?

William suddenly came to his senses, as if realizing he had slipped up. He laughed and said, "Although I can’t understand it, I think the visuals are good."

"Cecilia emailed me today with James’s photos; you should take a look," William instantly changed the subject; the laptop was on the coffee table, and he immediately logged into his email. Cherish Turner didn’t think too much, leaning in to look at the screen. The email opened; several clear photos revealed the handsome little face of the boy, seemingly displaying how captivating he would be when he grew up.

This was Cecilia Butler’s son — James.

Cecilia had become pregnant before marriage; she gave birth to the child nonetheless. Just before her return to China, she went back to Italy, the country that had caused her heartbreak. Cecilia, a Chinese-Italian, had moved to Italy with her parents when she was young. When naming the child after his birth, Cecilia insisted on using her name, a homonym for "Chen," which was also a win-win situation as it suited her name perfectly.

Liam hurriedly bought groceries and returned to show off her cooking skills. She didn’t let Cherish Turner help, busying herself alone in the kitchen. After happily finishing the meal, Cherish Turner went into the kitchen to help her with the aftermath. Liam washed the dishes, while Cherish Turner took them and wiped them dry with a cloth.

"I forgot, I should’ve bought steak; foreigners eat Western food."

"It’s okay; William is used to eating Chinese food."

"That’s good." Liam nodded.

In fact, after Cherish Turner went to the United Kingdom, she met Cecilia Butler by accident. In a dark alley, a thief tried to attack Cherish Turner; luckily, Cecilia Butler intervened, scaring off the thief. Unfortunately, Cecilia was injured in the process. During the hospital check-up, the doctor scolded her because she was already pregnant and warned that any more intense activity could put the child at risk.

Upon hearing what the doctor said, Cherish Turner felt grateful, touched, and regretful.

In this strange country, Cecilia Butler’s sudden appearance brought Cherish Turner comfort.
