Chapter 635: Chapter 605: Listening to the Girlfriend’s words
"Elder brother, why do you look so ashen?" Hailey asked, noticing his pale complexion.
"I’m fine." William Griffith managed two words.
"You should go to the hospital!" Yannis Griffith urged him seriously.
"No need." William retorted firmly, reaching for a pack of cigarettes. As his hand gravitated towards the box on the table, Someone snatched it away, placing it out of his reach. He glanced up leisurely and saw Cherish Turner furrowing her brows, looking somewhat annoyed. Her dissatisfaction made her look surprisingly adorable to him.
"I’m taking you to the hospital!" Cherish Turner stated firmly.
"There’s no need!" He was equally firm, neither yielding to the other.
"I’m taking you to the hospital!" Cherish Turner reiterated, her voice stronger than before.
As William looked at her, noting her concealed concern, he remembered the box of fever medicine he had stubbornly thrown out of the car window. And the desire to keep her at a distance, far enough to prevent him from losing control. However, he found it hard to be relentless; simply being able to gaze at her and have her by his side was a dream he didn’t wish to wake up from.
In the end, he simply stated: "I’m okay."
"You’re running a fever! How can you be okay? You need to go to the hospital!" Cherish yelled out, practically demanding, "You need to go to the hospital!"
Whether affected by the overwhelming fever or the discomfort, or simply the desire to see her more, he didn’t want to resist anymore. William stared blankly at her before finally nodding. Seeing his agreement, Cherish promptly helped him up and announced, "Senior, Hailey, I’m taking him to the hospital."
Cherish assisted William to get up, slowly walking out of the office. He didn’t resist and allowed her hand to hold onto his arm.

Since the car was out of the picture, Cherish decided to hail a taxi to take him to the hospital.
Upon reaching the hospital, Cherish was busy lining up for registration, while she had him sit and wait. William looked up at her, watching as she gradually moved forward in line.
"Alright, let’s go to the fourth floor." Cherish returned with the registration slip, and William rose to his feet.
They arrived at the clinic on the fourth floor, he accepted treatment obediently in silence.
When the doctor suggested IV fluid administration, he furrowed his brows in real distaste. Cherish immediately intervened, "Doctor, please go ahead."
William merely frowned, an nearby nurse jokingly suggested, "You should listen to your girlfriend."
The nurse’s teasing made Cherish blush, feeling slightly awkward. She wanted to clarify but then considered it unnecessary. After all, he was sitting there, silent as ever, she didn’t need to explain anything. Eventually, both fell silent. This only led the nurse to confirm their romantic involvement, giggling in response.
Once the doctor finished prescribing the medication, the nurse left to fetch the IV fluids, "You two can sit in the adjacent room."
Cherish assisted William into the next room filled with patients receiving IV treatments. Numerous accompanying relatives maintained the silence in the room. They sat in the corner by the window. Shortly after, the nurse came with the administration set. As the needle pierced his skin, Cherish tightened her grip on her clothes as if feeling the pain herself.
"This will take about two hours; call me when it’s almost done." the nurse advised gently after hanging up the IV bag.
Cherish nodded and turned to William. He was sitting in silence next to her, his handsome face still pale. The stifling smell of disinfectants filled the room, the air was muggy due to the number of occupants. Cherish got up and cracked open a window, the oncoming breeze made the room a bit more breathable and comfortable.
The two sat quietly, not saying a word.
