Chapter 433 - 433 434 Dont Allow You to Be Sad
Chapter 433: Chapter 434: Don’t Allow You to Be Sad Chapter 433: Chapter 434: Don’t Allow You to Be Sad A crowd of people gathered around, with the two of them standing rigid in the center.
The camera focused on the long-haired girl, who wore black-framed glasses and had a look of arrogance and pretension on her face, although it seemed somewhat unfounded. She held an inflatable doll in her hands, haughtily demanding money from William Griffith.
It was clear to everyone what happened next; Cherish Turner insisted that William pay, but she seemed somewhat guilty about it.
“Why are you looking at me? It’s only natural to pay when you buy something, especially when you’re the CEO of a big company. I didn’t think you’d be so untrustworthy!”
“Uh, this is the merchandise you ordered yesterday, totaling one thousand nine hundred and eighty-eight dollars. You can inspect the goods if you’d like!”
“As you can see, everything is in perfect condition with no damage. Also, as a token of appreciation, I’ve included a special gift for you – a realistic Fleshlight made from ultra-soft silicone – it feels amazing!”
It seemed as though selling these items came naturally to Cherish! Just the thought of it left William Griffith at a loss for words.
Before her eyes was a dazzling, handsome man, whose very presence was as radiant as sunshine.
Suddenly, the man on the screen spoke, “Thomas Harrison, bring the girl up here.” He said it indifferently before shaking off the hand that had been holding his arm. The camera then switched to his office:
“Miss Turner, your actions earlier have severely tarnished Mr. Griffith’s reputation. In order to protect the private reputation of both the Griffith family and Mr. Griffith himself, we’ve decided to sue you.”
Cherish smiled as she watched each scene, and saw William walking straight towards her. He seemed like a divine figure, so incredibly gorgeous, barging into her world without giving her a chance to choose. She couldn’t help but laugh, but as she laughed, the urge to cry welled up within her.
It was back when they first met, and she was so frustrated back then, wasn’t she?
Cherish watched the countless memories unfold with a smile.
The recorded footage had come to an end. Before William stood a red-eyed girl. He looked down at Cherish, his eyes deep and his voice serious, “I’ve always been curious, when I wanted to take you to the United States with me, why didn’t you come? I didn’t want to hear it at the time, but actually, I’ve always wanted to know.”
Cherish pursed her lips and didn’t speak for a while.
After a long time, she finally said shakily, “It was so heartbreaking… a really heartbreaking event…”
As she spoke, her voice choked with sobs, and her tears pooled in her eyes. She held back the stinging sensation. Seeing her stubborn and unyielding demeanor, William felt a tightness in his chest and wrapped his arms around her, gently stroking her as he soothingly spoke with his deep voice. “Do you still feel sad now?”
“I’m not sad anymore.” Cherish shook her head. As long as she was happy, it didn’t matter if she felt sad anymore.
“You’re not allowed to be sad. You can only remember me.” His possessiveness was so unreasonable, yet it made her thrilled.
Cherish nodded with a smile and hugged him back tightly.
Who would’ve thought that they would end up together like this?
That heartbreaking event was perhaps the destined beginning.
As the weather warmed and vacations began, only a few students remained in the school. A group of boys played basketball on the sports field, while several girls sat in the stands holding bottles of water or towels – looking every bit like girlfriends. Their smiles were even brighter and more stunning than sunshine, so pure and beautiful that they made the sunset fade in comparison.
Year after year, one class after another, the college students had changed many times over.
