Domineering Love
Chapter 327 - 327 327 Sin

Chapter 327: Chapter 327: Sin Chapter 327: Chapter 327: Sin Chen Zi Wang recalled the incident from that year, and even now it still terrified him. He took a sip of tea before he slowly began to recount the story.

“The mining disaster that year claimed so many lives. Counsel Turner fell from grace because of this incident, and his son, President Turner, in turn, nearly drove his company to bankruptcy. Counsel Turner was imprisoned, his wife committed suicide, and even President Turner encountered an accident. This family was pretty much destroyed. But that was not the worst part, no… the worst thing was…”

As Cherish Turner listened, despite never having lived with this family, she couldn’t help but feel sorrow for them. If only the calamity of the past could have been prevented, then perhaps she might see her mother and brother again.

“What was the worst part?” Cherish asked, her emotions getting the better of her. Tanigawa noticed, reaching out and tightly holding her hand, hoping to offer her some strength.

“The most terrifying part…was the Griffith Family. This mining disaster wasn’t purely accidental ー it was manmade. Moreover, it was said that the Griffith Family knew in advance of the impending disaster, but they did not inform the Turner Family. The Turner Family had hoped to jointly develop the land with the Griffith Family at the time. But they abandoned them and escaped unscathed, all because they knew the dangers that awaited them in the mines.”

In other words, if the Griffith Family had shared their insider knowledge about the impending disaster with the Turner Family, the Turner Family might not have met such a catastrophic fate.

Cherish felt a chill run through her body. She wasn’t sure about the true nature of the Griffith Family, but if all of this was true, it was horrifying! This all happened just five years ago, not that far in the past. She suddenly wondered whether William Griffith knew about this incident back then?

He had said that he had known her for five years, that they had met a long, long time ago.

So, did he know back then?

If he did know, then he was either the culprit behind this disaster or an accomplice.

Tanigawa looked at Cherish, aware of how badly this information had affected her. She would need some time to process it all.

Tanigawa handed the man a check, instructing him not to share today’s discussion with anyone else, before escorting Cherish out of Chen Zi Wang’s house.

Inside the car, Cherish looked upset and her expression was off. That moment had likely touched her innermost vulnerability.

“No… William Griffith isn’t like that… he just can’t be… he isn’t…”

She suddenly started mumbling to herself, in denial of everything the man had said earlier.

Why should she believe the words of a man with such unclear origins?

It must be untrue; he must be lying!

How could William Griffith possibly be so ruthless and cruel? As for the Griffiths… while she didn’t know them very well, she chose not to believe that they could be so cold-blooded and inhumane.

The car stopped in front of the Turner house, and Cherish Turner dashingly went inside.

In the living room, Chloe Turner was leisurely watering plants while listening to music.

She watched as Cherish Turner walked over to her furiously, her expression remained unchanged.

It appears she must have uncovered something, and now she can’t accept it and is suffering, right?

Well, what can be done? Seeing her suffer like this brings her some relief. After all, shouldn’t there be more than just one person being tortured in this hell-on-earth?
