So, almost instantly, that uneasiness in William’s heart ignited like a raging fire.

“Even now, can’t you forget about Daniel Peacock, is it? Being with me, you feel wronged, right? So all these days, I’ve been forcing you?” He gripped her arm tightly, causing Cherish pain, as she tried to break free, but his strength was too great for her to resist.

She didn’t understand why he had to treat her like this, how was this any different from a barbarian’s behavior!

Cherish couldn’t hold back her anger, and her toughest side came forth. She was already distressed and frustrated by everything, and when William lit the fuse, she exploded at him!

“Yes, I can’t forget him. We’ve only been apart for a few months, and you expect me to erase him completely from my mind—it’s impossible! Besides, Daniel Peacock never treated me like this!”

Cherish blurted it all out, but as soon as she did, she regretted it. However, she couldn’t bring herself to back down, especially against the unreasonable William.

Having said her piece, Cherish fell silent, turned her head away, and refused to look at William.

With that, William furiously stormed out, slamming the door so hard it left a thunderous echo!

He left, and once again, there was only Cherish in the room, her tears flowing uncontrollably! It made her feel sadder and more upset than ever before.
