Chapter 276: Chapter 276: Can’t Bear to Let Go Chapter 276: Chapter 276: Can’t Bear to Let Go In a hotel suite in Haicheng, Chloe Turner leaned against the bathroom sink, looking at herself in the mirror, shivering with fear.

She didn’t want to see herself, so she turned around and faced away from the mirror, her hands shaking with emotion.

All of this was forced upon her by Cherish Turner. If it weren’t for Cherish, she wouldn’t have become so bad. Why did Cherish have to compete with her for William Griffith? Chloe knew him first, and she fell for him before Cherish was even born.

On the night when she and Grace Harper had planned everything together, Chloe had a dream in which her brother, Bob Turner, looked at her from the abyss without speaking, just staring and eventually fading away.

Chloe could feel it: Bob’s gaze disapproved of her actions.

But she couldn’t care about that now; she couldn’t let William get any closer to Cherish.

She would lose him completely if she didn’t act.

Soon, everything would be over, and she would be the kind-hearted Chloe Turner, just as she was when William first fell in love with her.

Cherish, please don’t blame me. We are both just tortured by fate. Who said that when two identical-looking people meet, if they don’t bring happiness to each other, they will torture each other instead?

Chloe thought that was the case between them.

Early the next morning, Chloe took a taxi to William’s residence.

She waited for him at the entrance of the villa district early in the morning.

The security was tight, especially since this piece of land was owned by the Griffith family, and the security guards were on high alert for outsiders.

However, because Chloe looked just like Cherish, not only did the security guards not stop her, they even bowed and waved her through.

William’s villa was the most secluded and the best in terms of overall conditions. Chloe walked up to the door, but hesitated.

She worried about William’s reaction, but she would have no chance if she didn’t fight back now.

William had been up early, or rather, he had been lying awake all night, watching Cherish sleep. He had so many things on his mind, so many worries he had to bear.

He stood on the balcony for a while, smoking a cigarette. As he turned around, he saw a figure moving near the entrance.

It was Chloe.

His eyes narrowed as he put out the cigarette in the ashtray beside him. He turned around and went downstairs.

When Chloe saw William coming, she was about to turn around and leave, but before she could take a step, he called out to her.

“Chloe.” His voice was light, devoid of fear or any other emotion.

“William… I didn’t mean to come looking for you. I just… After being discharged from the hospital, I haven’t seen you at all. I miss you so much, so…”

Chloe looked a little unwell, her face pale and pitiful.

William didn’t say anything, just looked at her, waiting to hear what she had to say.

Chloe was holding back her anger, knowing that Cherish was inside.

Why was there such a difference in their treatment? It was difficult for her to see William even once, but Cherish had already entered his life.

Chloe’s heart was in turmoil. She looked at William, and before she knew it, she was hugging him, the man who had appeared in her dreams countless times. She couldn’t bear to let go no matter what.
