Chapter 251 - 251 251
Chapter 251: Chapter 251 Chapter 251: Chapter 251 “Miles Griffith, look at me.” William Griffith suddenly became serious as he looked at his son.
Lewis put down the small duck in his hands, he looked at William with his big, round eyes. This was the first time his father had looked at him so seriously.
“How has it been these years living with me?”
Lewis was being asked such an emotional question for the first time and he was actually a bit shy about it.
His father was always very lax with him, not even caring if he didn’t go to school. Lewis thought that he had lived a very free life in these five years, so much so that he felt blissfully lost. Despite participating occasionally in some courses for potential heirs, the intensity was much lower compared to that experienced by other scions of wealthy families. Therefore, despite his young age, he was very knowledgeable.
Seeing that his son was not speaking, William Griffith was worried for a moment. His understanding of his child was perhaps not as deep as he had imagined. After all, he was only five years old and still a child. For some things, and for some words to be clear, it indeed needed time and mental preparation.
“I promise you, in my heart, and I believe in your Auntie Cherish’s heart too, you are always our number one priority. Do you understand what I mean?”
The boy understood clearly that his father meant they would not immediately want a younger brother or sister. For a long time to come, he would remain the prince of the house.
Feeling great, his expression changed. Lewis could not restrain the corners of his mouth from uplifting. He picked up a rubber ducky and dived into the bathtub, cheerfully blowing bubbles.
William Griffith felt that he still needed to take the time to understand his son’s feelings.
After taking care of Lewis and setting him up, William Griffith started feeling restless in the living room on the 9th floor. He wanted to share his troubles with Cherish Turner, he wanted to meet her. Even if nothing was said or done, as long as he could watch her, it would be good.
After pacing around the living room several times, William Griffith finally put on a house coat and pressed the elevator button.
–
Cherish Turner had just finished washing her hair. She wanted to blow dry her hair, but after struggling for a while, she couldn’t get the hairdryer to work. Left with no choice, she resorted to towel-drying her hair.
However, before she could dry her hair, she heard noises in her room, and the tightly shut door connecting to the 9th floor was opened!
“Why are you here!” The volume of Cherish’s voice heightened, but was promptly covered by William Griffith’s hand.
“Keep your voice down, you want to wake up your parents?” Because William Griffith was covering her mouth, they were standing very close—so close that they could easily smell each other’s scent.
