Cherish Turner suddenly thought of something: “Why the Cherry Blossom Garden? Are you going too? Maybe next time would be better, it’s a gathering with my parents, so it wouldn’t be good for you to be there and it would be inconvenient.”

But soon, Cherish Turner couldn’t hold any longer and fell asleep, leaning on William Griffith’s shoulder.

William Griffith grinned triumphantly; his shoulder had been waiting for Cherish Turner for a long time.

As the car continued to drive, the little woman sleeping on his shoulder seemed so peaceful. William Griffith felt the weight on his shoulder increasing. To protect Cherish Turner properly, he needed to have a serious talk with Chloe Turner.

“Shh—”William Griffith hushed, signaling for his son to be quiet.

Lewis closed his mouth, feeling miserable in the confined space. Being force-fed this lovey-dovey display, he wished he could make a hole and crawl to the front where Uncle Thomas Harrison was.

Halfway through the journey, William Griffith’s phone rang at that very moment. He carefully pulled it out, and a familiar but unwelcome name flashed on the screen:

Chloe Turner.

Chloe Turner sat on the living room sofa, and had already called William Griffith several times. The first few calls he didn’t pick up, and now she had finally gotten through.

William Griffith glanced at the incoming call, looked at the sleeping Cherish Turner, and ultimately decided to shut his phone off.

At Chloe Turner’s end, the ringtone changed to the shutdown voice prompt. She angrily smashed her phone on the floor, shattering it to pieces.
