Chapter 238: Chapter 238: Lewis’ IQ Doesn’t Follow His Mom Chapter 238: Chapter 238: Lewis’ IQ Doesn’t Follow His Mom William Griffith pretended not to hear and thought that he should take Cherish Turner back to Haicheng as soon as possible, away from this persistent yet charming annoying kid!
“Uncle Tanigawa, I actually think Brother Fujita suits you more than my Auntie Cherish,” said Lewis.
Upon hearing this, both Fujita, who had been eating silently, and Tanigawa Kenichi, who was still in a bad mood, choked unexpectedly! This kid always made such shocking remarks – it was scary, wasn’t it?
Tanigawa Kenichi glanced at Fujita, who was eating non-stop in front of him, and frowned impatiently, “Green, don’t always follow me around unless it’s necessary, just stay at home.” He didn’t want others to mistake him for a gay man. Despite the prevalence of erotic comics, his sexual orientation was pretty normal.
“Oh, I got it, young master,” Fujita nodded and continued eating.
Tanigawa Kenichi gave him a disgusted look and said slowly, “I don’t know how you, as a boy, managed to grow up like this. You eat so much, but you don’t grow tall. You’re as skinny as a monkey and can’t even put on a few pounds…”
Feeling embarrassed at being disparaged, Fujita hesitated to put the sushi roll in his mouth and put it back on the small plate instead.
“What’s wrong with you? Boys in their teens are supposed to be growing taller – what’s wrong with eating more?” Cherish Turner felt that Tanigawa Kenichi was like this: he would say nasty things to both those he liked and those he didn’t, those he was interested in and those he hated. He really needed to change this bad habit!
“Fujita, don’t take him too seriously. He’s actually just a child himself. Don’t be fooled by his 20 years – sometimes he has the intelligence of a 12-year-old. Go ahead and eat more. I’m treating you. Luckily, you saw Lewis and brought him to the Tanigawa family’s house, otherwise, who knows what could have happened to him?”
As she said this, Cherish Turner picked up her chopsticks and gave Fujita all the delicious food on her plate.
Fujita kept saying thank you, wanting to eat but carefully observing Tanigawa’s expression.
However, with Cherish Turner there, Tanigawa didn’t say anything more.
Finally, Fujita happily started eating again.
Watching everything unfold, William Griffith glanced at Tanigawa, then at Fujita, and then at Cherish Turner, who was eagerly serving dishes. He whispered in her ear, “Sometimes, I think you have even less intelligence than Lewis!”
“What do you mean?” Cherish Turner frowned and asked.
“Never mind if you don’t understand!” William Griffith had finally figured out intelligence; it was a good thing that Lewis takes after him rather than Cherish Turner.
This evening’s dinner party was actually Cherish’s last dinner in Japan, marking their farewell. After that, she and William Griffith would return to Haicheng for real.
Although Tanigawa Kenichi didn’t say much that evening, he couldn’t help but feel reluctant to part with Cherish Turner. He didn’t know when he would see her again, and, more importantly, he wasn’t sure why his mother seemed to be against him and Cherish Turner getting closer.
That night, everyone had no sin, only Tanigawa Kenichi and William Griffith faced off in drinking, one glass after another. William Griffith was sinless, at first drinking glass by glass, but later leaving Tanigawa to drink alone while he just watched.
It was apparent that Tanigawa had feelings for Cherish, and as a man, he knew very well that those feelings were much deeper than what Cherish had imagined.
Fortunately, the woman he fell for was a bit of a silly girl; otherwise, if she was too sensitive, she would have been deceived sooner or later.
