Chapter 229 - 229 229 Give Up
Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Give Up Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Give Up William Griffith didn’t bother arguing with her. After all, he would rather she be a bit naive.
Around eleven o’clock at night, William finally removed the IV needle from Cherish Turner.
Although it was late, William still prepared some simple and delicious food to help Cherish regain her strength.
“Open your mouth.”
William held out the stew in front of Cherish and fed her himself. She felt a little embarrassed and wanted to eat on her own, but William insisted on feeding her. Unable to win the argument, Cherish finally let him feed her, spoonful by spoonful.
However, Cherish felt that her previous misunderstanding of William was her own fault. While eating, she kept glancing at him with her small eyes, wanting to say something but too embarrassed to do so.
“Is there something on my face?”
Cherish shook her head quickly and didn’t dare look at him again.
William chuckled softly and didn’t say anything more.
“William, could you tell me more about my sister? Like, what kind of person is she, and what were my parents like? I’m actually quite curious.”
As Cherish played with her hair, she asked softly.
That day, William talked a lot about the Turner family, as well as Bob Turner and Chloe Turner, but didn’t mention anything about their choices concerning Cherish.
In Cherish’s eyes, her separation from her parents must have been for some reason they couldn’t avoid.

In Haicheng, the sound of objects being thrown around could be heard from a VIP hospital room. The nurses couldn’t stand it anymore and reported it to the head nurse. But, since Miss Turner was a special patient in the hospital, they had to treat her well. Unable to handle her anymore, the head nurse had no choice but to ask Julian Brown, who was still in Haicheng, for help.
When Julian arrived in Chloe Turner’s hospital room, he found it a complete mess. Utensils were smashed and scattered across the floor, along with rice and vegetables.
Julian furrowed his brow as he looked at the mess, and his sympathy for Chloe Turner dwindled even more.
“These grains are what hardworking farmers produce. It’s a shame for you to waste them like this.”
As he spoke, Julian assigned two workers to clean the room thoroughly.
“Where’s William? Why hasn’t he come to see me? He wouldn’t leave me alone in the hospital. I want to see him. You have to bring him to me!”
She had been alone in the hospital for several days, with people taking good care of her every day. However, to her, these people weren’t William. Since they weren’t William, they didn’t matter.
Julian knew about William and Chloe’s relationship back then. At that time, William didn’t understand what love was and only felt responsibility and guilt. So for Chloe, William wasn’t a real person but an emotionless shell. While there might have been some wishful thinking on Chloe’s part regarding their supposed engagement, William didn’t object back then because he didn’t know how to, and everyone thought it made sense for two people from similar backgrounds to be together.
But after meeting Cherish, William began to have feelings and a lively love.
However, none of this was because of Chloe, but because of Cherish. Even though he knew from the start how difficult it would be to be with Cherish, he chose to do so.
“Chloe, although we aren’t close friends, we’re still friends. You’re Bob Turner’s sister, and I don’t want to see you suffer. As for William, just give up on him, and give yourself some freedom. Alright?”
