Domineering Love
Chapter 187 - 187 187 Heart Confused

Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Heart, Confused Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Heart, Confused Cherish Turner didn’t stop, eager to leave and even shrugged him off. Watching her resolute departure, Daniel Peacock felt unwilling but even more heartbroken. He realized there was no trace of him left in her heart.

He had made a fool of himself for a few years, losing a woman he should have cherished. It was all his own doing.

“I don’t expect you to forgive me, but I hope you won’t be foolish anymore. The love you’re holding on to, it won’t become a reality. Wake up.”

Speaking coldly, Daniel Peacock didn’t want his words to sound so melancholic. However, he selfishly hoped to make amends or at least provide her some warmth when she was about to get hurt.

Cherish turned her head, giving him a cold look. She had not seen through him after all these years.

In her eyes, Daniel Peacock was sunny, scholarly, and pampered her with love. Now, however, she recognized the ugliness that lurked behind some people’s masks.

“Daniel Peacock, stop it. Enough is enough.” She didn’t want to continue this meaningless conversation with him. Some things were in the past, some feelings were gone, and once love was gone, it was truly gone.

“I don’t care if I’m with William Griffith today, but I don’t love you anymore. Please leave me alone.” She struggled to free her hand from his grip, giving him a detached look.

Daniel Peacock felt a pang of loss that seemed to span a thousand years.

He began to panic, feeling as if he couldn’t hold onto her. So he hurriedly tried to regain his grip, fearing another loss:

“Do you really think William Griffith’s return is just an ordinary matter? Remember the woman he once loved? She’s back. How much longer do you want to be kept in the dark by him? Do you want him to tell you himself that he wants you out of his life?”

Cherish froze, as if she hadn’t understood Daniel Peacock’s words, and didn’t know how to react.

“That person, she’s back. William’s return is because of her. Do you understand? So don’t be a foolish woman, waiting for a love that can never come true. Don’t let yourself be hurt too much.”

He spoke with the same tone of determination, which made his words sound like a true statement. It made Cherish’s heart feel stifled.

“Are you done? If so, I’m going.” Cherish forced herself to remain calm. She knew she couldn’t fully trust what Daniel Peacock said. What credibility did a man who had deceived her have?

But why did she feel unable to move, with her hands trembling?

Her heart was racing wildly, making it difficult to breathe. Cherish knew that, at this moment, she was panicked.

“Maybe soon, you’ll know if what I’m saying is true or not. Take care of yourself.” After saying this, in the chilly night, Daniel Peacock was the first to leave, leaving Cherish standing alone by the hotel entrance, overwhelmed by her emotions.

Cherish felt so cold, not from the environment but from her heart.

She quickly pulled out her phone, wanting to call William Griffith, but his phone was turned off.

He had boarded the plane, and nothing could be done now. But why did it make Cherish feel so helpless, so helpless that she wanted to cry?
