Chapter 169: Chapter 169: Spare Items Unworthy of Birth Chapter 169: Chapter 169: Spare Items Unworthy of Birth Hǎichéng, the cold wind blows bleakly.

As it was a day off, Grace Harper didn’t go to work but instead went out with her driver. She told the Griffith family’s driver that she wanted to buy some baby items and asked him not to follow her.

The driver couldn’t disobey Grace’s order, so he agreed to wait in the car for her. Grace nodded and went into a mall inside the World Trade Center.

The newly opened restaurant was located in a secluded corner of the World Trade Center, with few customers. Grace glanced around then entered.

The interior of the restaurant was intricately stylish with a strong vintage vibe. Grace walked straight in, and no one stopped her.

It wasn’t until she reached the innermost room that Grace knocked on the door.

A woman as beautiful as a fairy sat by the bed, holding a photo which had been crumpled by her grip.

“Sister Chloe.”

The woman called Chloe was taken aback before her distant gaze refocused. She gathered her emotions and returned to her usual calm demeanor.

“Grace, you’re here?”

“Today is Brother Bob Turner’s anniversary. I had to come.”

As Grace spoke, her eyes filled with sorrow. She looked at Chloe Turner with a heart-wrenching expression.

“Yes, today is my brother’s anniversary.” Chloe spoke with a mournful expression, as if recalling something.

“Cherish Turner isn’t in the country; she’s gone to Japan. Sister Chloe, no one knows you’re still alive now. Perhaps you can go to the Griffith Family with me. In this way, they will think that everything was done by Cherish. Then, the conflict between the Griffith Family and Cherish will only deepen.”

But Chloe didn’t seem to be listening. Instead, she suddenly asked, “Where is William Griffith?”

Grace was taken aback, not expecting Chloe to ask about William’s whereabouts.

Back then, she wasn’t quite sure about the relationship between Chloe and William. Had they really been together? If so, why didn’t William show sadness or longing when she mentioned Chloe? Instead, his reaction was full of anguish, which wasn’t an emotional display one would expect from a lover.

“Even if you don’t tell me, I know. By now, he’s probably having a great time with Cherish, right?”

As she spoke, Chloe picked up a glass of wine nearby and downed it in one gulp.

“Sister Chloe…” Grace didn’t know how to console Chloe, but to her, this wasn’t important. Her priority was to take revenge for her Brother Bob.

Had it not been for Brother Bob back then, the one to die would have been William.

But now, why was William still able to live freely, dating the person he liked while her Brother Bob had vanished from this world forever?

“But all that happiness should have been mine! It should’ve all been mine! How could Cherish steal everything that belonged to me like a thief? What should I do with such a thief?”

“Brother Bob was so foolish; just for a sister—”

“She’s not Brother Bob’s sister, nor is she mine. She’s nothing but a spare part that shouldn’t have been born into this world. She has no right to be a child of the Turner Family. A backup that has no right to be born will never deserve to stand before me, trying to take what’s mine.”

Both Grace and Chloe were on the same side, but seeing Chloe like this, Grace couldn’t help but feel a chill down her spine.
