Chapter 521: Chapter 520: Acting Out This Drama

So a big group of people proceeded to the restaurant. Lv Junyou was both excited and nervous, incessantly seeking reassurance from Wang Hao, "Little Master, how do I look? I’m about to act with a superstar, a major role! Little Master, you think I can do it, right?"

"Of course, you can, why not?" Wang Hao hummed, "Just act as despicable as you can, the more despicable, the better!"

Lv Junyou nodded vigorously, "Understood! Absolutely understood!"

Upon reaching the second floor of the restaurant, the rest of the Kung Fu production team had already been prepared. Upon seeing Wang Yinghui arriving, despite their utter unwillingness, they knew the scene had to be filmed, and so it began.

Soon, the lighting technician set up the lights, Director Yang got all the camera equipment ready, the clapperboard was prepared, and everyone assumed their positions. Then it began!

"Episode three, scene one, Huixian Building, day, interior."

"Action!"

Wang Yinghui, playing Linghu Chong, sat at the table with a bowl of wine. Lv Junyou, as Luo Renjie, stood in front of him, and Ding Yuwei, playing Yi Lin, sat beside him.

Wang Yinghui put down his wine bowl and let out a chuckle, his expression left Wang Hao utterly dumbfounded—what kind of acting was this, deliberately trying to look cool? What was with that hair flip?

And just when Wang Hao was still surprised, what happened next completely shattered his worldview!

He heard Wang Yinghui say, "One two, one two three four ’one two three four, five six seven eight’?"

Damn it, didn’t you even memorize your lines?!

Lv Junyou, who had just adjusted his mindset, nearly stumbled and fell, speechless at Wang Yinghui’s brazenness.

"Cut! Cut, cut, cut!!" Yang Shoulin yelled for a cut, his neck turning red with frustration, "Wang Yinghui, didn’t I give you the script? Didn’t you memorize your lines last night?!"

"Of course not," Wang Yinghui replied as if it was the most natural thing in the world, "I’m so busy every day. Even just taking time out to come here for the shoot is tough, let alone memorizing lines, right? Anyway, a dubbing actor will be used after we’ve finished shooting, so why bother? My pace was fine just now, wasn’t it? There won’t be any issues with dubbing over it, right?"

"You!" Yang Shoulin, who had been directing for many years, had never encountered such a shameless actor. But, after all, the man had been paid a twenty million fee; there was nothing to do but try to coax him gently, "But this scene only has a few dozen words. Memorizing that shouldn’t be too hard, right?"

"A few dozen words isn’t a lot?" Wang Yinghui shook his head decisively, "I’m so busy normally just to glance over the script and understand the character is quite good already, Director Yang, don’t be too demanding."

"Fine, fine, fine," Director Yang trembled with rage but recalling the influence behind this guy, he impatiently said, "Alright, just get on with it!"

So they prepared to start over.

But Lv Junyou was clearly bewildered. He hadn’t expected a scene like this!

"Um... uh," Lv Junyou tentatively asked, "If you don’t say the lines, I can’t follow..."

"What now?!" Upon hearing this, Wang Yinghui jumped up, pointing at Lv Junyou’s nose and yelled, "Can’t act without memorizing lines? Can’t you follow if I don’t say them? Do you even know how to act? If not, get someone else quickly and don’t waste my time, got it?!"

"Alright... okay then." Lv Junyou walked back helplessly, and the scene restarted.

Wang Yinghui flipped his hair, put down the wine bowl, and smirked at Ding Yuwei’s Yi Lin, "One two, one two three four ’one two three four, five six seven eight’?"

Now it was Lv Junyou’s turn. To give him credit, the lad had potential. His portrayal of Luo Renjie was filled with a sly and smug demeanor. Pleased with himself, he gave his own thumb a triumphant lift and said, "Not bad, I am Luo Renjie of Qingcheng’s Four Talents."

Wang Hao watched, his face lighting up with a grin. This guy was showing some real improvement in his acting, not bad at all, truly commendable!

Wang Yinghui: "One two three four five six seven eight one two three four five six seven?"

Now it was Ding Yuwei’s turn. As Yi Lin, she shook her head, "I don’t know."

Wang Yinghui curled his lips into an even more smug smile than Lv Junyou’s, "One two... one two three four five six, one two three four, one two three four five six!"

Lv Junyou interjected, "What’s the most brilliant move, tell me."

Wang Yinghui: "One two ’one two three four five six seven eight nine’."

Hearing this, Wang Hao slapped his forehead hard...

This was supposed to be the iconic back-turning, level-sand-falling-wild-goose move, but under Wang Yinghui, it had turned into a series of numerals...

Lv Junyou was gritting his teeth in anger. His fury was so palpable, there was no need for him to act; everyone around could feel it!

His line was supposed to be "Nonsense," followed by a punch, but as he raised his hand ready to strike, before the director could even call cut, Wang Yinghui was the first to shout.

"Cut! Cut, cut, cut!" Wang Yinghui, terrified, leapt up from the chair, "What are you thinking, actually hitting me? Let me tell you, if you dare touch a single hair of mine, I will sue you into bankruptcy!"

"I... I’m acting! Acting!" Lv Junyou retorted in exasperation, "Who said I was really going to hit you?!"

Everyone around heaved a sigh.

It had been going well, with Lv Junyou’s expressions and mannerisms worthy of recognition, but with Wang Yinghui’s interruption, the take was ruined. They would have to do it again!
