Chapter 811: Chapter 812: Show of Power

"The two of them have gone mad..."

Little Husky lay speechless on Xiao Ji’s back, how could he not know what these two had done? The Crystal Giant had used a Divine Artifact from the Mythical Era it had preserved, and as for Agunas... the opponent had used the power of time to recreate the Divine Artifacts it had seen. This was no longer a battle between Divine Beasts but a barrage between Divine Artifacts.

What rendered him speechless was that Divine Artifacts from the Mythical Era rarely had a small impact on the environment. It would be good if the clash of Divine Artifacts didn’t destroy the space itself, and even more severe, it was not impossible for them to directly weaken the power of the world’s barriers. Of course, this was the terrifying power that came with using Divine Artifacts.

Didn’t you see that even the Nien Wheel, merely used for controlling the heavens, has such exaggerated abilities? If it were those attack-type Divine Artifacts it would be even more outrageous. It’s fortunate that most of the Divine Artifacts from the Mythical Era are either damaged or have been reclaimed; only a few complete ones remain. Otherwise, the world would have been in chaos long ago.

Behind Agunas, the black gears kept spinning, and as the gears turned, shadow warriors stepped out from the void. Watching the spectacle of these two creating a battle of thousands, Little Husky patted Xiao Ji’s back with his little paw and said,

"Back off a bit; this is getting too intense."

Xiao Ji turned around with some puzzlement and glanced at Feng Yuan, who was engrossed in the action. Agunas’s chaotic attack methods were quite interesting to it.

"What on earth is this guy up to..."

Gitalien said with a sense of speechlessness. Agunas had not even used its own Ultimate Move. Although reproducing things from history for attacks was indeed Agunas’s method of attack, wasn’t this too weak? Despite seeming to be fiercely engaged, their power hadn’t reached its peak.

"Are they evenly matched? Why is there such a commotion?"

Qi Chen asked with some puzzlement. However, Gitalien didn’t answer this question. The Crystal Giant swung its arm, and the sharp pillars of crystal viciously stabbed toward Agunas. The black gears on its back spun rapidly, making those crystal pillars seem to hit a rewind loop, continuously retreating and then lunging at Agunas again, yet they never successfully got close even once.

"How long are they going to fight like this..."

Little Husky, growing impatient, patted Xiao Ji’s back, and Gitalien couldn’t help but transform back into his Eastern Giant Dragon form and said to Qi Chen and others,

"Get on!"

"What are you going to do?"

Qi Chen looked at Gitalien with some confusion. The sudden return to his original form—could it be that he wanted to join the battle? Glancing at the Cang Ming Dragon, Gitalien said annoyed,

"Get it on! Letting Agunas play like this, who knows how long they’ll fight."

Gitalien seemed to have figured it out. That guy didn’t know what he was thinking and was just competing with the Mirror Realm’s overlord, seeing who had more Divine Artifacts. Although the Mirror Realm’s overlord had a rich collection, unfortunately, Agunas had seen quite a few Divine Artifacts as well. Those two were not fighting with all their strength, and he couldn’t guess how long Yongzhen Island could hold if this continued.

After all, although the Divine Artifacts of those two didn’t have their power fully unleashed, it still caused incessant Space Shockwaves. Hesitating for a moment, Qi Chen carefully climbed onto Gitalien’s head with an apologetic attitude, while Gladys smiled and took out her flying carpet. Gitalien glanced at Gladys and rolled his eyes, saying with speechlessness,

"Can that raggedy flying carpet of yours hold up in the void?"

"Your huge size can hold up, can’t it?"

Gladys asked with a smile, flicking her tail as Gitalien said proudly,

"I’m not like Little Crocodile. I just need to rely on the rules of space to remain fixed in any spatial position, which is not the same as floating."

With a smile, Gladys did not explain but stepped onto the flying carpet. Watching the flying carpet float to her side, Gitalien didn’t say much either. After all, they were so close; if the other’s flying carpet really couldn’t hold up, Gitalien could still step in to rescue in time.

In no time at all, Qi Chen and his group had transferred onto Gitalien’s head. By then, Li Xiaowei was still somewhat excited. After all, not everyone could climb onto Gitalien’s head. As a Divine Beast that rarely interacted with humans, Gitalien, despite its renowned reputation, hadn’t actually been in contact with many people. Of course, this didn’t include Feng Yuan’s visit.

Although the Cang Ming Dragon was also a Divine Beast, it was truly unheard of, unable to compare with the powerful Divine Beasts like Gitalien, which appeared in legends. Meng Binglan, however, was not so excited. As a researcher at the Great Xia Research Institute, she knew very well that Gitalien and the White Wolf Deity were Divine Beasts of the same level. Having even encountered the more elusive White Wolf Deity, she naturally wouldn’t be as thrilled.

Sensing that all the ’passengers’ had left, the Cang Ming Dragon shook its body, roared, and with a fierce flap of its dragon wings, rushed towards the two bickering foes. A pitch-black spherical Barrier enveloped the Cang Ming Dragon. The Divine Artifacts’ attacks were silently swallowed by the spherical Barrier.

"What are you doing?"

Agunas frowned slightly, puzzled as he watched the Cang Ming Dragon suddenly rush into the battlefield. The Cang Ming Dragon paid no attention to Agunas whatsoever. It opened its massive dragon wings and kept roaring loudly; chains of black and purple Rune Chains encircled the Cang Ming Dragon and kept spinning and expanding. Little Husky scratched its head with its little paw and said,

"Seven Pillars of Fire? Going all out with an Ultimate Move right away? But since it’s the Mirror Realm’s overlord, it should be able to withstand it, right?"

Feng Yuan wasn’t worried about the Seven Pillars of Fire causing any serious damage to Agunas. The Cang Ming Dragon wasn’t Xiao Ji; it had an extremely strong control over its own power. One could say that its Ultimate Move was almost without distinction between friend and foe.

As the Rune Chains continued to expand, a gigantic black pillar dripping with crimson liquid appeared out of the void. The pillar seemed to have no substance; whenever attacks from Agunas or the Crystal Giant swept by, it would turn into a green translucent Energy Body, and then revert back to its solidity after the attack had passed through.

At the top of the huge pillar, a dragon claw opened towards the sky as if it held a golden brazier ignited with pitch-black flames. Soon, the pitch-black flames overflowed from the basin like water and kept flowing down the pillar. As the flames dripped off the pillar, chunks of dark land inexplicably appeared in the void.

Although the land was filled with the immense Power of Death, it appeared vibrant to everyone watching, with bright red wild grasses growing from the dark soil and swaying without wind. As the Rune Chains spread, the seventh pillar appeared. When the seventh pillar dropped its flames, the designs on the seven flame-covered pillars emitted a faint blue glow.

In just an instant, all the dark land turned into a sea of fire, and the terrible flames directly destroyed the Divine Artifact projections released by Agunas. The Crystal Giant, sensing the potency of this move, promptly retracted its Divine Artifact and grew two pairs of thick crystal wings on its back to shield itself within.

The pitch-black flames spread across the entire dark land, distorting the surrounding space with fire. Gladys curiously said,

"This move seems very powerful, but what if the opponent hides below the ground?"

By then, Gitalien had already hidden far away. Though it was unclear on the extent of the Cang Ming Dragon’s mastery over its power, Gitalien didn’t want to find out; it was quite wary of the Cang Ming Dragon. Unless absolutely necessary, it did not wish to personally test how strong the Cang Ming Dragon truly was.

"There is no below—the space below might seem to exist, but in reality, that space has been twisted. The bottom is the top; it’s just not visible to us from outside the area."

Gitalien spoke cautiously, admitting it could not accomplish such a feat. Twisting space to this extent was beyond its capability, and it was very likely that it would cause space to shatter before it could even reach this level of distortion.

As the flames covered space, the fiery pillars changed once again, with black light blades shooting out continuously. These black light blades sliced through the flames that filled the space, shooting in all directions.

Little Husky guided Xiao Ji to a spot close to the sea of fire. At that moment, Agunas appeared. Clutching the Golden Page in its paw, Agunas warily watched the sea of fire. Now the sea was not just filled with flying light blades; the Seven Pillars of Fire’s methods of attack seemed varied, with black lightning, azure giant claws, and translucent ripples among the forms of attacks released by the pillars. Agunas doubted whether the Mirror Realm’s overlord could have been completely obliterated at this point.

Thinking of a Divine Beast perishing here, Agunas felt an inexplicable heaviness in its heart.
