Chapter 484 Morning in Great Li_1
Chapter 484: Chapter 484 Morning in Great Li_1
Feng Yuan ultimately didn’t spend the night outdoors but instead sought out Lorraine Tower for a cushy big mat to spend the night on within Lorraine Tower’s Silver Tower.
"Why ignore a bed and instead choose to rest on a mat..."
Agunas’s spectral form flicked his tail speechlessly as he looked at Feng Yuan sprawled on the large mat, with the thick softness nearly engulfing him. Xiao Ji and Pomiti huddled beside Feng Yuan, poking their heads out curiously at Agunas’s specter.
Feng Yuan glanced at Agunas’s specter and said,
"Of course, I wanted to try a new sleeping method~"
"Then why don’t you try letting me knock you out directly?"
Agunas’s specter said annoyed, and Feng Yuan, with a mischievous smile, replied,
"If you can manage that, you’re welcome to try~"
Agunas’s specter looked at his translucent claws and wisely chose to change the subject. Feng Yuan got up, finished his morning routine, and directly opened the Gate of Light, staring at Wolf Mountain Hall on the other side. Agunas’s specter asked with some confusion,
"Heading to Great Li City again?"
"Yeah, otherwise where would I know to eat?"
"Yongning and Zhen Nan not an option?"
Feng Yuan swept a glance at Agunas’s specter and explained,
"No, the identity of Feng Yuan has always been at Wolf Mountain Hall, which is fine, but Feng Yuan is known to be in the Chiyun Mountain Range. If he suddenly showed up in Yongning and Zhen Nan, I’m afraid those guys will become suspicious."
"While there are still very few Spirit Beasts with Spatial Ability, should it be discovered that I have it, these two identities would become indistinguishable."
Agunas’s specter flicked his tail as he said,
"Others might not be any less suspicious; didn’t the Third Prince probe you last night?"
"But he had no evidence, just suspicions. They won’t take mere suspicions too seriously, but if it’s proven, we are in for trouble."
"Just be careful on your own, after all, I’m not particularly adept at these matters."
Agunas’s specter admonished Feng Yuan. Feng Yuan nodded, transformed Xiao Ji into a fluffy form, placed him on his shoulder, and walked out of Wolf Mountain Hall with deliberate swagger.
During the day, Great Li City wasn’t as stunning as it was at night. Feng Yuan casually walked down the streets, and passersby, upon seeing the Ritual Robe on Feng Yuan, invariably shifted aside to avoid him. Agunas’s specter flicked his tail, somewhat speechlessly saying,
"You’re like those young villains from the novels right now."
"Am I? I haven’t done anything, okay."
Feng Yuan feigned innocence as he spoke. Agunas’s specter, annoyed, glanced at the robe on Feng Yuan and said,
"Without that robe, would those people be so frightened?"
"That’s the handiwork of the Divine Envoys."
"But it’s strange, are they all so idle?"
Feng Yuan saw the Eldest Prince passing by with a sullen face, with guards closely following. As they passed by Feng Yuan, the Eldest Prince turned his head for a glance, seemingly wanting to say something but then gave up. His guards kept a very wary eye on Feng Yuan, afraid that he might suddenly attack.
Standing there with his arms crossed in front of his chest, Feng Yuan casually watched the Eldest Prince hurry past and murmured with some confusion,
"What happened this time?"
"Not sure, you know I can’t access information from this time point right now."
Agunas’s specter said helplessly. Feng Yuan glanced at him and asked,
"Speaking of which, you can talk frequently now; doesn’t that mean the situation with Odinis has been resolved?"
"Not yet. Although we’ve temporarily sealed off Odinis, it seems that there’s friction between the people of the Divine Beast Hall and the Alliance. Most of the Divine Beasts have already left Odinis, and I’m worried relying only on them..."
"If it really doesn’t work out, I’ll transfer the Cang Ming Dragon and the Guiming Dragon over."
"Let’s not, moving them has too much impact on the Yin World. We’ll consider it only if we really have no other choice."
The Agunas apparition looked around as if unwilling to continue the conversation and pointed with its tiny paw at a nearby bun shop, saying,
"You might as well go there and buy some breakfast."
Compared to the night, the daytime Great Li City was not particularly remarkable, and all the food was much like that in Yongning. Of course, if Feng Yuan was willing to find a place to sit and eat at his leisure, naturally, there were inns that offered a different kind of fare.
Glancing at the relatively quiet inn, Feng Yuan thought for a moment and said with some hesitation,
"Buns? It’s not a bad idea... but the inn might be a place to gather some information."
The Agunas apparition glanced at Feng Yuan, flicked its tail, and clearly had grown tired of him. If he really wanted to know something, aside from some particularly special items, he could find out everything himself. He probably wanted to have what he called an ’experience’ by deliberately going to the inn to gather news.
Finding an inn with a fair number of guests, Feng Yuan noticed that there were many dressed as martial masters, and pleased with this, he walked in. The guests, who had been talking loudly, stopped as soon as Feng Yuan entered and then began whispering, fearing they might draw his attention.
Scratching his head and looking at the ritual robe he wore, Feng Yuan said,
"Should I have changed clothes before coming here?"
The shop assistant approached Feng Yuan enthusiastically, introducing him to the inn’s signature dishes while subtly guiding him to the best seat. However, those guests had started sitting far away from that seat, and after Feng Yuan sat down, there were hardly any guests around him.
Although a man and a woman were sitting at the table next to him, Feng Yuan lost interest as soon as he saw the ritual robes they wore. Divine Envoys were not only capricious, but they were also very proud, and they wouldn’t chatter and boast casually in public places like those martial masters did.
After ordering, Feng Yuan took the shop assistant’s hand, puzzled, and said,
"It seems like you are all afraid of me?"
"My lord jests, you are all guests here, why would we be afraid?"
"Then why are those people sitting so far away?"
Feng Yuan gestured with his eyes towards the martial masters, who seemed to notice his gaze and pressed their voices even lower. The shop assistant smiled and said,
"That is certainly because they are worried about inadvertently offending the Divine Envoys."
The shop assistant didn’t lower his voice when he said this, and the woman in the black sacrificial robe glanced at him, seeming quite satisfied with his words. Feng Yuan observed the woman with curiosity.
The embroidery on her robe was intricate yet it carried a strong worldly aura, and it was unclear which irreverent Spirit Beast she was associated with, for her undergarment was quite form-fitting, emphasizing her graceful figure.
The man sitting next to her wore a similarly embroidered ritual robe, yet thankfully his garment was more conservative, merely form-fitting; otherwise, Feng Yuan really would have had to investigate what sort of disrespectable Spirit Beast it was.
Examining his own ritual robe, although its embroidery was not as complex as theirs, it was quite exquisite, and the aura of transcendence and sanctity simply could not be suppressed. This was why the martial masters had been noisy before Feng Yuan entered, and then became as quiet as if they were cultured literati.
Although the woman noticed Feng Yuan’s gaze, she simply frowned slightly and didn’t say much, tightened her outer robe a little, and subtly shifted away from him. She clearly recognized the extraordinary quality of Feng Yuan’s ritual robe and preferred not to provoke any unpleasant encounters unless Feng Yuan sought trouble first.
Resting his head on his hand, propped on the table, Feng Yuan looked at the shop assistant with curiosity and asked,
"Do you know if anything major has happened recently?"
The shop assistant replied with a wry smile,
"My lord jokes, how would I know if anything major has happened?"
"Isn’t it said that inns like this are the most well-informed?"
Hearing Feng Yuan’s words, the woman couldn’t help but let out a quiet laugh. Feng Yuan looked at her, puzzled, and asked,
"Is that not the case?"
After composing herself, the woman replied calmly,
"If we go by what common folk say, it is indeed so, with all sorts of rumors spreading quickly among them."
"But it still can’t match the speed of the Tianji Pavilion."
Feng Yuan remembered the existence of the Tianji Pavilion and scratched his head, saying,
"I forgot about that place."
The woman looked at Feng Yuan with some skepticism and said,
"If you wish to gather information, why not visit the Tianji Pavilion?"
