Chapter 449: Chapter 449 Rest and Reorganization_1
"Although Najia is skilled at support and has some healing abilities, I still suggest that your third Beast Tamer creature be primarily a support or healing type Spirit Beast,"
While eating ice cream, Feng Yuan said to Yang Hongzhi, but Qi Chen asked with some confusion,
"He should have a plan, right?"
Feng Yuan glanced at Yang Hongzhi and said,
"It’s hard to say, Xiao Hei and Xiao Hui are both attack-oriented. Although there’s a saying that lets Spirit Beasts act freely, the Mountain Rock Pig King is after all better at defense..."
Upon hearing Feng Yuan’s words, Yang Hongzhi felt somewhat embarrassed. He knew his own matters best; Xiao Hei was simply a Spirit Beast he had chosen rather arbitrarily because he was too lazy to search in the wild. After all, strong Spirit Beasts were not easy to come across in the wild. Those that could be bred on a large scale were either Native Level Spirit Beasts or those without strong combat abilities. Even though there were some stronger Spirit Beasts, only a few manors cultivated them, and if you were on good terms with them, they might gift you one. If the relationship was poor, you couldn’t even buy one if you wanted to.
As for Spirit Beasts from the Flame Wolfhound evolutionary chain, they were massively bred because they were mandatory for the police system in all countries under the Alliance. As a result, ordinary people could adopt a reasonably strong Flame Wolfhound at a relatively low cost. However, since most people’s first Beast Tamer creature was an attack type, they wouldn’t go for another attack type like the Flame Wolfhound.
"Even though you could also choose a Flame Wolfhound as your second Beast Tamer creature, but..."
Feng Yuan seemed to remember something and looked at Qi Chen; Qi Xiaoshuang asked with some puzzlement,
"Why? My brother’s Ah Mu leans towards a support type of defensive Spirit Beast, right? Plus, most plant-type Spirit Beasts have some healing moves, isn’t an attack-type Flame Wolfhound quite good?"
Nodding at Xiao Hei, who was looking somewhat angry at being patted on the head, Feng Yuan smiled and said,
"It’s too one-dimensional. The Flame Wolfhound, although its temperament and such are very good, only has offensive ultimate moves, but Ah Mu is actually somewhat... versatile."
"If we’re talking about pairing up, creatures like Xiao Hui, who straddles two types, would be better."
"Or something like the Dreaming Dragon Baby, which has extremely strong offensive power, wouldn’t be too bad either."
Qi Xiaoshuang glanced at the Dreaming Dragon Baby licking an ice cream cone and said,
"Do you think my brother can sign a Beast Tamer contract with an Elite Level Spirit Beast?"
"Probably not... But a Flood Dragon Baby might be doable."
Qi Xiaoshuang said irritably,
"Where is my brother supposed to get a Flood Dragon Baby?!"
"It might be easier to get a Spirit Leaf Fox."
"The Spirit Leaf Fox won’t do; it specializes in support and can work well with Ah Mu, but since Ah Mu is already lacking in attack ability, and the Spirit Leaf Fox has even weaker attacks, they would struggle against opponents with strong defenses. It might even be worse than a creature from the Ghost Series, at least they can weaken the enemy."
Qi Chen glanced at Feng Yuan and said,
"I’m still far from my second Beast Tamer creature, so discussing it so early is pointless."
"It’s about being prepared in advance. If you really want a Flood Dragon Baby, I can try and see if I can abduct one for you~"
"No need, it’s not necessary,"
Qi Chen decisively refused. Qi Xiaoshuang’s eyes rolled and she spoke to Feng Yuan with a whining tone,
"I really need one~ But not a Flood Dragon Baby~ Could you get me a White Shadow Wolf, pretty please~"
Feng Yuan looked at Qi Xiaoshuang and said,
"I could, but are you sure you can contract a White Shadow Wolf? Even the weakest White Shadow Wolf has Good Level strength."
"This..."
Qi Xiaoshuang looked reluctantly at the White Wolf Deity and thought for a moment before saying,
"Actually, it’s not impossible. The cubs of a White Shadow Wolf only have Common Level strength, but within a month of birth, they grow into a White Shadow Wolf. If you really want to sign a Beast Tamer contract with a White Shadow Wolf, let me know at the time, and I’ll help you get a cub."
"Do we really need it though..."
Qi Chen frowned slightly, dissatisfied as he glanced at Qi Xiaoshuang. Seeing her indecisiveness, Feng Yuan smiled and said,
"It’s not a big deal. Besides, aren’t you guys practically like family to me? What’s wrong with giving my sister a little gift?"
"But..."
Qi Chen took a glance at Feng Yuan, who pretended to be dissatisfied and said,
"Don’t you look at me this way?"
"Well, it’s not that... it’s just..."
"Would the White Shadow Wolf agree with your approach?"
Dou Yanlan asked with some confusion. After all, most spirit beasts would not let their cubs sign Beast Taming contracts with humans unless it was a matter of entrusting their young on deathbeds. In other words, they would not allow any contracts. If the White Shadow Wolf refused, how would Feng Yuan achieve his goal?
Feng Yuan glance at the White Wolf Deity and said,
"They are the White Wolf Deity’s family. Xiao Shuang has been personally observed by the White Wolf Deity. What else is there to worry about? Those spirit beasts are reluctant to let their cubs sign contracts with humans because they’re afraid of being deceived; after all, human hearts are unpredictable. But if there’s someone they can trust, they actually don’t really mind that much."
"Actually, the Cotton Sheep are also quite nice, holding one feels so soft and fluffy, just perfect to be used as a pillow~"
As he spoke, Feng Yuan picked up a Cotton Sheep that was passing by and buried his head into it. As a specialty of the Cotton Sheep Sweet House, it was natural for the sheep roaming here to be easily approached, as long as one did not attempt to harm them maliciously. Seeing Feng Yuan’s action, Xiao Ji immediately looked a bit annoyed, and Qi Chen glanced at Feng Yuan and said,
"You used to say the Ball Whale was great, and now you’ve switched to the Cotton Sheep? You move on to new loves quite quickly."
"I love them all~"
Feng Yuan raised his head, half of it emerging from the soft and fluffy fur of the Cotton Sheep, while Cotton showed a disdainful look at Feng Yuan and flicked its tail.
"So what are you planning to choose for your second Beast Taming contract?"
Qi Chen asked curiously, as Feng Yuan had never revealed what type of spirit beast he was considering for his second contract. Xiao Ji glared at Qi Chen with some annoyance, and Feng Yuan stretched out his hand and rubbed Xiao Ji’s head saying,
"It depends on the situation. I’m not particularly concerned about having a second Beast Taming contract since my strength is obvious, isn’t it?"
"That’s true..."
Qi Chen did not know what to say to compliment Feng Yuan. After all, the Beast Taming contract existed because human strength was too weak and they needed to borrow the power of spirit beasts to enhance themselves. But with Feng Yuan... sometimes Qi Chen even wondered if Feng Yuan could fight toe-to-toe with those Divine Beasts. If his strength was enough, even if Feng Yuan gathered a group of spirit beasts that could only act cute, it wouldn’t really matter.
And...
Qi Chen glanced at the annoyed Xiao Ji. If we’re talking about strength, Xiao Ji’s bizarre situation would have surely made the researchers want to study it closely if it weren’t for the group of Divine Beasts standing behind Feng Yuan. Xiao Ji was a Native Level spirit beast with the strength of a Common Level creature but could use its ultimate move to amplify its power to Legendary Level.
While the White Wolf Deity’s exclusive ultimate move, Coming of the Future, could temporarily boost strength without side effects, Xiao Ji’s frequent use of Incarnation of Power was different. Qi Chen had asked Feng Yuan about the Incarnation of Power ultimate move and was certain that Xiao Ji’s body could endure Legendary Level power for a period of time, something that even Ah Mu could not achieve at present.
"Are we going to shop for souvenirs later?"
Feng Yuan put down the Cotton Sheep and asked, as Qi Xiaoshuang thought for a moment and said,
"I won’t go. The souvenirs aren’t as good as the ones we bought before."
"After all, with such a long passage of time, some things have already been lost,"
Dou Yanlan said calmly. Qi Chen nodded and said,
"As for souvenirs, there’s indeed no need to browse again. The souvenirs we saw just now are far inferior compared to the ones we saw before."
"How about we go for a walk in the park instead?"
Yang Hongzhi looked at Najia and suggested. Feng Yuan thought for a moment and said,
"It seems the park might be the only place left to visit..."
"Young man... for cultural relics, please go over there for customs inspection. We can’t handle the customs procedures for cultural relics here,"
Feng Yuan said speechlessly,
"All I have here are souvenirs, when did they become cultural relics?"
"I’m sorry, but these items of yours seem to be cultural relics from the Noscarte era; souvenirs cannot achieve this appearance,"
"But look at this tag."
While Feng Yuan and the staff were arguing, a man dressed in an Oria Secret Service uniform came over and showed the staff a document, saying,
"Let those Noscarte era characteristic items through directly; inspect everything else as usual."
