Divine Beast Creator
Chapter 1007 - 1008 Choice

Chapter 1007: Chapter 1008 Choice

A powerful Spirit Beast? Kong Qing mocked itself with a smile deep within. Had it not been for it, perhaps it would have been just another inconspicuous entity among the countless creatures. It was well aware that not just anyone had the authority, or the qualification, to bestow the title of Divine Beast.

Gently patting Kong Qing’s head, Feng Yuan pointed at the bead hanging around its neck and said,

"Why don’t we take a look at what’s inside your Space Bead first?"

Kong Qing nodded, its tail giving a light tap, and a Gate of Light opened. Through the gate, everyone could see the bright sunshine and the grass on the other side. Feng Yuan, surprised, said,

"This is too... It’s like having a portable garden."

Kong Qing hissed something—it still couldn’t make a sound, let alone speak human language, which was still a stretch for a snake-type Spirit Beast. Gitalien walked into the small space, looking around curiously before turning to Kong Qing and noting,

"Something seems off, with your capabilities, it shouldn’t be just this."

No matter what you say, Kong Qing is a Space-attribute Divine Beast, it’s quite familiar with how far space authority can go. It needn’t be as large as its old lair, but at least it could expand considerably in size.

Kong Qing hissed something again, and upon hearing the explanation, Gitalien looked at Kong Qing and asked,

"Is it worth it?"

"Is that so... This is your choice, there’s no need to explain to me, but I am still hoping you can help me..."

After a glance at Qi Chen and Cen Chudie, Gitalien didn’t finish his sentence. He didn’t want to trouble them. Although it was likely that the two meant no harm, some things were better explained proactively by himself.

Kong Qing nodded and hissed something to Gitalien. It clearly understood Gitalien’s expectations, which were nothing more than helping to deal with and maintain the stability of the real world. Gitalien looked at Kong Qing and swept his gaze around the small space; although the conditions for the growth of animals and plants were met here, the clear boundaries showed just how small the space was. Shaking his head, Gitalien turned to leave and said,

"Since there’s nothing here, I’ll be on my way. As for your congratulatory gift... I’ll make it up to you next time we meet."

Kong Qing hissed something that seemed like a refusal. Gitalien laughed lightly without looking back and said,

"Whether I give you a gift is my own business; you can’t control that."

Seeing Gitalien leave, Feng Yuan curled his lips and hugged Xiao Ji, saying,

"What does he mean it’s his business whether to give gifts or not? Can he really force a gift upon others?"

Agunas flicked its tail while looking at the grassy expanse and said,

"This space seems pretty good. Although it doesn’t have the function of accelerating time, it’s suitable for cultivating a lot of things. If Spiritual Medicine and Spirit Plants were planted here..."

"You’re actually thinking of doing that? It seems not a bad idea, maybe even a better one."

Hearing Kong Qing’s retort, Agunas surveyed the surroundings and said, as Veronia twirled a precious bead in her hand,

"This place is still too small for me; I’m uncomfortable here."

Agunas glanced at the departing Veronia and called out,

"Aren’t you coming to build houses later?"

"What? Looking for a laborer? Then you’ve got the wrong Divine Beast."

Veronia left the space without turning back as she spoke. Feng Yuan looked at Agunas curiously and asked,

"What house building?"

"It wants to build a house here that can serve as a home."

"Right, it’s already decided on the name for this evolved form—the Homeward Snake."

Recalling something, Agunas said to Feng Yuan, concerned that the latter might be unaware and inventing nonsense names. For Xiao Ji’s evolution, unique to itself, being unnamed was no issue, but for the Homeward Snake, it was different. After all, it wasn’t only Kong Qing that would evolve into this form in the future. Surely not all Snakes with the Homeward form could simply go by the same name, right?

"Homeward Snake? It seems alright, but..."

Scratching his head, Feng Yuan still couldn’t quite figure out why they had settled on that name until after he had seen several Little Green Snakes successfully evolve into Homeward Snakes and understood why Kong Qing had chosen such a name.

"I’ll go look for one that meets the criteria, but a Little Green Snake that hasn’t evolved at this time may not have that high potential?"

Cen Chudie turned to slip away, knowing all too well that building houses would certainly be arduous, she had no intention of staying behind. Seeing her run away as if escape, Feng Yuan shook his head. As for whether there were any new recruits in the military that met the criteria, there was no doubt; if they could pass that test in the form of a Little Green Snake, weakness was simply out of the question.

Maybe their original purpose was to transcend evolution. After all, as Little Green Snakes evolved further, their size would increase, and although their venom would also become stronger, their larger size would not be as convenient as their smaller form. Of course, that was because they were confident they could make the Little Green Snake not weaker than its evolved form. For ordinary people, evolution would probably be the better choice.

"Will they agree? The Homeward Snake’s size isn’t exactly small."

Agunas also expressed his concern about this point, to which Feng Yuan shook his head and said,

"It’s hard to say, but the Homeward Snake’s power and the evolved form of the Little Green Snake do have some differences. Moreover, a Space-attribute Spirit Beast offers more than just an additional home."

That was just a special characteristic of the Homeward Snake, but it didn’t have a huge impact on its strength. Kong Qing nodded its head and, with a sweep of its tail, a sturdy Spatial Barrier formed between it and Agunas. Observing the Spatial Barrier, Agunas sighed,

"Indeed, it’s strong. It looks like you’ve put a lot of effort into this."

Without asking, Agunas could guess that Kong Qing had probably sacrificed its auxiliary abilities to strengthen its offensive capabilities. Although the Spatial Barrier was strong, it didn’t offer any means of counterattack. If it were Gitalien’s Spatial Barrier, any attack might rebound and potentially create a spatial rift.

Kong Qing hissed, looking at Feng Yuan with an expectant gaze, clearly hoping to work together in constructing the houses. Gently patting Xiao Ji’s head, Feng Yuan smiled and said,

"Alright, then let’s get to work. Will you join in too?"

Seeing Feng Yuan look his way, Qi Chen nodded and said,

"I can, but it’s best to make clear what you need me to do ahead of time."

He wasn’t like Feng Yuan who understood everything with just a glance. If Feng Yuan just exchanged looks with him, he would probably be cluelessly asking what exactly he was supposed to do.

Gazing at Qi Chen with a hint of amusement, Feng Yuan said,

"Understood, don’t worry. At most, we can get Ah Mu to help. As for you... perhaps it’s better not to."

Glancing at Feng Yuan, Qi Chen didn’t quite know how to respond.

"A new form? Is the information reliable?"

The woman dressed in the military uniform doubted the news when she received it and called Cen Chudie over for confirmation. If Cen Chudie hadn’t been a server at Cotton Orchid Manor for several years, the woman would have probably dismissed it without a second thought. Finding a new evolution form for a Spirit Beast was not something that happened every day. Seeing the woman’s skeptical expression, Cen Chudie said irritably,

"Why don’t you go and see for yourself? And that’s Feng Yuan’s own technique; haven’t you heard of his abilities?"

"His technique?"

Although it was strange why Feng Yuan would bother to find a new evolution form for Little Green Snakes, it seemed not entirely impossible if it were him. After all, they had quite a lot of information about him.

"Little Green Snake, and it must have great potential..."

The woman glanced at the captain standing quietly beside her and thought for a moment before instructing him to inform the new recruits. They might be planning to transcend evolution, but what if there was another choice? As the man prepared to leave, she seemed to remember something, reminding him,

"Remember to emphasize that the specific situation is still unclear and not guaranteed to be absolutely true!"

While she trusted Feng Yuan’s abilities, she couldn’t just take his word for everything. Reluctantly going along with the plan, she kept in mind that if there was any issue with this new evolution form, it could affect one’s life.

Looking at Cen Chudie, the woman said,

"Let’s go. We should see what the situation is for ourselves."

Though she sent for someone to inform them, she still felt uneasy and wanted to see it with her own eyes. Moreover, if possible, she hoped to have the researchers thoroughly investigate before making any decisions.
